Pasticcio

I sampled 24 of sospiros perfumes. This and vibrato were the only two I kept reaching back to smell. Basso was alright and some of the others smelled just okay. I must say I am surprised Halfeti isn't listed as one of the " this perfume reminds me of" because when I sprayed this, I instantly grabbed my halfeti and sprayed my other arm to compare. Must be the Rose notes. That is just my opinion and what I pick up from it, but I do think it smells really nice. Even the opening. I am currently wearing my halfeti on one arm and this on the other to compare longevity and so far, this is outperforming. I may have to pick up a bottle of this and sell my halfeti as it would be redundant to own both. *Halfeti is still an amazing fragrance*. This and halfeti are listed as cold weather fragrances which I think both are light enough for summer days just not 80+. Its fascinating to me watching other people review this fragrance saying it smells like all these different colognes. Pasticcio in Italian does mean MESS which I think makes this very unique!

Such an interesting perfume, there's so much at play here: it's complex, round, creamy, floral and pastry-like (almondy/butty), all at the same time. Opens with smth almost edible mixed with florals. Then the orris root appears with its powderiness and buttery softness, and then some spices are coming through, along with berry-like notes... The dry down is gorgerous in cold weather like today where I am. I could smell the warm sweet aura around me, but the florals in the base clearly give an interesting twist to the typical musk-sandalwood-amber type of drydown. without reading the notes, I probably wouldn't be able to tell what is what about this perfume, but afterwards I can indeed pick up each element I am looking for. That's really a sign of quality to me, especially for such a complex composition. It leans feminine on me, but something tells me it will just play totally differently on male skin.

Looking at the note breakdown of Pasticcio could easily scare away any man to not even try this fragrance but everything is not as it seems. This fragrance easily leans masculine because of the green aromatics and citruses. They come across sharp and fresh, like rosemary, thyme, mint or eucalyptus. It's then followed by creamy sandalwood and iris with almost a coconut like smell in the back ground. The many other florals must be so well blended in you can't point them out separately. They remain in the background apart from the iris which is at the forefront. It eventually settles to a nice creamy, amber woody base. For me this is an all season fragrance and it shines in the spring and summer months. The longevity is easily 12hours+ and the projection/sillage is enormous. If you love floral woody scents as a man then this is the fragrance for you.

Very weird and hard to put together but very beautiful and elegant scent. It feels like a soft woody vanilla, mixed with iris and other floral aspects. Soft but not weak. It’s a real pleasure smelling this as it’s incredibly easy on the nose. Weirdly enough, it reminds me of a lot if different scents. I do get the blazing mr sam/jazz club vibe but this feels way richer than that. I also get the gris charnel comparison. Another thing i also get is the spicy muskiness from prada luna rossa black, especially in the opening. It’s like a mix of all those scents in the best possible way. Very strange but beautiful. 9/10. Edit: Longevity is VERY good, it's been hours i applied a spray on my neck and i can still detect it. Projection is an elegant close to mid-range, so not super strong but it's not the type of fragrance that has to be.

We are now in the overwhelming Baroque period. The opera introduces the Pasticcio, a work that the composer created by combining pieces by other composers, with or without their permission. A work that gave new life to pieces that had made their mark on the musical world. Pasticcio is a marvellous symphony of notes that together become indistinguishable, thus creating a unique harmony: the opening is slightly citrusy, acidic, but then the composition takes on nuances that are on the one hand floral, on the other green, sugary... something fresh, cheerful and adapted to every occasion. Truly a beautiful olfactory experience, which obviously, given the presence of so many notes, changes from skin to skin. A wonderful set of colours like ‘Croacking Movement’ painted by Pollock.

The notes listed smell nothing like the fragrance. Nobody has mentioned it but is smells like Clive Christian Blonde amber with a little more fruit. I can only described the scent as warm, intoxicating, creamy and woody- a soft fruitiness blends so well with the other notes and makes a seamless transition. This is office safe, it’s not in your face announcing its arrival but a smooth operator. I’m sat in my scent bubble and I’m soaking up the ambience- wow- Had to do a follow up on this gem- this scent has quickly become a favourite- OMG- the quality just shines through- I’ve had at least 7 Sospiro fragrances over the past few years and for one reason or another never reached for them and eventually sold them on. I have kept Vibrato and now this one

Pasticcio is GORGEOUS. For what it’s worth, I am not a fan of Gris Charnel nor coconut and I do not perceive these in Pasticcio. I mainly detect soft floral, iris/orris, woody, and musk notes. Smooooooth. This is one of the most beautifully blended compositions I have. For me, this is in the same vein as House of Bo Espiritu. My only wish is that the velvet bottle was in a light mocha brown or soft lavender color to better fit the scent profile as well as stand out in my collection. Pasticcio is eminently wearable and enjoyable.

To my nose it smells like theres some screechy ambroxan I’m picking up a lot of spice though. Nasturtiums are edible flowers with a spicy flavor, and i believe they are lending this fragrance its spice. Kinda has a red feel, like when i smell it i’m reminded of big red chewing gum. And for that reason it reminds me of Sheiduna by Puredistance (which is a better fragrance in every metric) I’m not sure if Christian Provenzano is a real swagga jacka but i like this one, and a lot of his fragrances, and nasturtiums

Let me preface by saying scent and what you detect are subjective, it varies from person to person. The easiest way of putting this in perspective is saying it's in the realm of gris charnel, mixed with armani code parfum, mixed with Bois spigo ( a lavender heavy frag) I think its clean, classy, masculine, and very versatile. If you can get this for a good deal go for it! I think if you like the above that I mentioned, you'll very much enjoy this frag. Totally underrated and not discussed enough

There's a mysterious, solemn and warm quality to this fragrance and I haven't smelled anything like it. I agree with reviewers who said this reminds them of Parisian Musc by Materie perfumier and Gris Charnel by BDK. They don't smell alike, but share that woody, aromatic and creamy DNA. A masterpiece, and great longevity. I can't stop myself from smelling my wrist. Bought a bottle instantly.

Love this. Minty, a small bit of citrus, hint of floral (just a hint), progresses to wood notes. Warm. Leans masculine. The few Sospiro scents I have tried thus far, this again is high quality. Sophisticated. Italian cut sport coat or suit with style and an inspiration to dress as such. I am on my early evening passeggiata, or a later meeting for dinner. enjoying the scene la dolca vita.

As a woman, I usually don’t tend to go for fragrances that lean more masculine like this one. But I love this scent. It reminds me a lot of the Pacific Northwest which I’m from. I smell pine needles even though it isn’t in the notes. It leans more masculine but a female can definitely pull this off. I look forward to purchasing a full bottle of this

The most realistic pistachio!! What an excellent find. To me it’s quite powdery, possibly even soapy. It’s lovely, an extremely elegant fragrance. Particularly lovely for fall/winter. Not sweet at all to my nose... perfection! Might be a bit mature for me personally, but I do love it.

This is a spicier more leathery version of Armani code edp 2021, i just sprayed them on each arm to compare the two and theyre like twins 🤣 But i prefer Pasticcio, its sexier and more mature whereas Armani has a more clubbing vibe. 9/10

I got full bottle yesterday and my first impressions are mixed. I don't like the opening but the dry down is adorable and lovely. I'll wear it longer and will edit my review later.

Absolutely beautiful floral fragrance from start to finish. Definitely gives elegance.

Woody aromatic. Mainly I sense currant and cedar. There are no nuts here.

Maybe there was something wrong with my sample...but I find nothing special about this fragrance. It's basically another orris root, iris based scent that is in the same vein as a Prada L'Homme or Loewe 001 Man. I saw so many notes listed here but what my nose actually gets is the orris root/iris, violet, sandalwood and cedar - that's it. Smells very similar to Loewe 001 Man actually - contains the same cardboard/pizza crust accord that I suppose is the sandalwood+cedar. If you must, sample it only. Otherwise, I think this is overpriced for what it is.

45 years old man herr. Blind bought it based on reviews. I expected it to be less sweet, earthier, more green and fresher. Totally missed it. It’s nothing original, would probably smell better on a woman. Wanna get an Iris scent for man? Best one is the classic Dior Homme intense.

I am going to keep this short: Very unique, creamy, sweet, and Unisex. I get notes of mint or eucalyptus which leads into a Crest toothpastish kind of drydown IMO. I like it but I don't think it will work for hot and humid weather here in FL.

Its okay, not for me. Definitely feminine leaning, i can see the idea but its too powdery for me and i like powdery fragrances :(

I'm wearing this now and for me at least it's way too aggressive. It's like gris charnel but dialed up 100%, and there comes a point where more is not necessarily better. The scent profile isn't necessarily bad it just becomes suffocating at some point, and I'm not an oversprayer either. Unfortunately this is a no for me. Edit: the dry down, basically 3-4 hours into the fragrance, it gets better and isnt as harsh or abbrasive, unfortunately I cannot wear a fragrance where I have to wait 3-4 hours to enjoy it.

This is a fine fragrance in the vein of BDK Gris Charnel. Powdery/iris-y, sweet. It's nice but I wanted to comment that pasticcio does NOT translate to pistachio. Pistachio in Italian is "pistacchio" and is pronounced as "pist-ah-key-oh." Pasticcio means a lot of things but I've mostly heard it as like something chaotic and in disorder. I think here it's more like a discordant part of a symphony. I don't find this fragrance all that disjointed/discordant, honestly. It's mostly just powdery and sweet. Is it because the word sort of resembles pistachio and the bottle is green that every review is saying it's based on a nutty note? Silly stuff. Longevity was actually pretty good on my skin at 7-9 hours but projection was more moderate. A 7.5/10 for me. Sweet and decent quality but expensive. Nothing to do with that little green nut.

I don't know if there's something wrong with my nose but I'm getting mainly... white chocolate? Judging by the notes I had no expectations at all, only that maybe it would maybe smell similar to Gris Charnel so I assumed it will be very sandalwood + iris forward - I am getting iris and sandalwood but there's also this mild lactonic sweetness which combined with the sandalwood is just gorgeous. Almost a gourmand to me, not in a bad way though. Longevity is pretty impressive too. Leans masculine but women could pull this off as well IMO, mainly due of the aforementioned sweetness and the comfy aura it creates around the person wearing it

Sandalwood, cedar and something peppery. It reminds me of Iris Fauve by Atelier des Ors. Even though I enjoy cedar in moderation, it has a dizzying effect on me. When compared to Iris Fauve by Atelier des Ors, Pasticcio by Sospiro is greener, less peppery (therefore cooler in comparison albeit still being warm overall), and more floral than "dry" (even though it's not to be described as floral overall). The cedar note really stands out. When compared to Iris Poudre by Federic Malle, Pasticcio is greener / brighter while Iris Poudre is more floral.

Soapy musk... A crawded blend with quite different notes that formed (after an hour) a musky floral soap. I get lily of the valley, bergamot, pepper, cedar, geranium, orange blossoms, lime daiquiri, wet oakmoss, waterlily, touch of rose, & hycinth. This blend belongs to the 90s era with that clean soapy bubbly yet bit musky and floral. too much of almost everything actually. OK.

Not many people have this hence the lack of awareness, but to me it smells almost exactly like MFK Grand Soir after drying. Nothing like it in the beginning. I have decants of both and I sprayed them on different hands. An hour or so after, I couldn’t believe what I was smelling on both arms. Literally 1:1 to me. Interested to see how many others think the same.

Two fragrance come to mind when I sampled this. Parisian Musc by Materie perfumier as well as Gris Charnel by BDK I love the DNA and genre of the fragrances I’ve mentioned. Only difference is the Amber in this has the Xerjoff Amber DNA. It has some complexity and it is very beautiful. And plenty of longevity. A special occasion fragrance. 8.3/10

I'm looking at this note list, expecting to see pistachio and it's not listed. What sorcery is this. It's brilliant and a true pistachio scent for the first hour or so. And then it fades into something a bit flowery, sharper. I'm generally not a fan of nutty scents, but I can appreciate the craftsmanship of this scent.

Great fragrance but not worth the price. I feel like much of sospiro is just an ELEVATED clones with ELEVATED prices to match. Pasticcio got me compliments and performance was good, however I feel like I'd smell much better with the extra cash i saved from getting gris charnel/extrait instead.

Ok ..... this has nothing to do with Pistaccio, reading some reviews is driving me nuts!!!! It's called Pasticcio!!!! No nutty smell at all!! It's an absolute beauty and really reminds me of Gris by Charnel , although I do find Gris creamier. Please not not mention Pistaccio again...

I’m really enjoying this and whilst it’s not a note mentioned, I get a coconut almost ice cream scent with a touch sweetness. This took me by suprise as I got this as a free sample and not something I would have chosen based on the accords given. I was wrong. Love it

Pasticcio is a Greek dish consisting of layers of bucatini and minced meat cooked in thick tomato sauce, covered with heavy bechamel sauce, and baked in the oven. Was that the inspiration for Mr. Christian Provenzano?

The spiciness of babycat with the creaminess and smokiness of by the fireplace.. If those two were mixed together, this is what you would get. I love it!

A super elegant fragrance. I started using this daily, as I love the musk ambery notes in it. it’s definitely oriental musky.

Expensive and refined smell but a little too nauseating....too rich too much

What is wrong with people thinking this is pistachio
