Altay's Snow

This smells like a crisp, snowy winter morning to me, cool and sharp. But it has a little floral, sweetness to it. At the same time, it is definitely similar to Glossier You and Sonic Flower from Room 1015 which I have bought as well.

It’s hard not to see the inspiration behind this one—Diptyque Fleur de Peau immediately comes to mind. They clearly share the same olfactory DNA, although this isn’t a clone by any means. Unfortunately, like many fragrances from this brand, its performance leaves much to be desired. It wears very close to the skin, with minimal projection, and the longevity is rather disappointing. Even so, I genuinely enjoy wearing it. I don’t think of it as a fragrance meant to impress anyone else. Instead, it’s an intimate, comforting scent—perfect for quiet moments at home or those times when you’re simply enjoying your own company. Sometimes, that’s exactly what I want from a perfume.

It opens with a cool aldehydic brightness, a clean rush of air that feels like stepping into high altitude. The iris/musk pairing creates a soft, powdery veil, never heavy, just quietly luminous. The floral blend is diffused and airy: hints of flowers moving like pale colors in cold light. As it settles, the cedar and vetiver add a gentle mineral dryness. Overall, it’s a calm, crystalline aldehydic floral with a soft emotional distance — serene, cold, and quietly beautiful.

Testing a 1.5 ml sample my friend brought back from China Smells like Hugging by Soulvent with a tinge of pink pepper & florals. Very light & intimate with poor longevity.

Wearing this feels like being trapped in a laundromat for hours until the smell of fresh linen becomes my entire personality. I no longer have memories, hopes, or dreams—just freshly folded towels and fabric softener.

This is almost identical to Musc K. For the life of me, I can’t see anything different. I’m not sure the price point for Soulvent, but if it’s cheaper than Ella K, then go for it.
