This scent just makes me smile. The opening hawthorne is a sweet, fruity smell that feels familiar but you cant quite your finger on what it is unless you read the notes. Its not too sweet, with a slightly sour tang, like the candies you eat when you were a little kid. I dont detect the pu'er tea very much, but there is a nice comforting scent at the base that feels like soft hug from a suede or cashmere blanket. This is a very comforting scent that makes you nostalgic, but also optimistic about the future – you know everything is going to be ok. Projection and sillage is quite intimate, like a soft, secret armour that protects you throughout the day. Really beautiful.

This is a fantastic tea scent & FBW for me. I don't know what Pu'er Tea smells like but to my nose this smells like Lapsang Souchong tea (smoky black tea) with honied florals, which I guess is the hawthorn. The mandarin note is also quite prominant. Pretty strong with good longevity & I'll definitely add this to my collection. This is the best black tea scent I've found so far. Tested a 1.5ml sample my friend brought me back from China

dries down to a very smoky smell too fast thats a shame

This is a gorgeously blended smoky tea fragrance. For me, it opened way fruitier than anticipated with juicy pear & almost something grape-like in the foreground (pear is listed but not on fragrantica). Then after the fruity burst settles, it smells like a photorealistic tea bag: Lapsang Souchong blended with dried bits of the pear and plum and maybe a couple flower petals if I’m being generous (I wish I got more hawthorn). But luckily for me, after about 10 minutes, the fruitiness settles and the dry, smoky tea shines with some floralcy on the dry down. Wow - I see why this fragrance is an award winner. This dry down is, however, essentially Indigo Smoke from Arquiste dialed down. And while I have that fragrance, I don’t need this one. Especially as someone who tends away from fruity fragrances. But huge congrats to those who made this one! She’s a beauty. Worth trying for any smoky tea lover. (And if you like this, also check out Mountain Memories from ROAN!)
