Whispering Fields

The opening 5 mins I found a bit of a struggle, as I always do with perfumes which combine boozy and fruity aspects, plus I tend to struggle with osmanthus, but then it starts to turn more serious, like a leathery tobacco or something, and I really love it. I swear it smells like there's some tobacco in here, raw, moist tobacco. The boozy, spicy side makes it sort of mouthwatering, it's incredible. I'm not sure what genre I'd put this in, it's a genre-bender for sure, as there's almost something a bit gourmand about it. It's more dynamic than Narcis Nocturne, I'm getting something different every few minutes. Now, in the drydown, it's pipe tobacco on a old desk in a library of leather-bound tomes covered in dust with a glass of maybe absinthe?! Lol, awesome!

Benevolent and mischievous. Complex, charming and playfully elegant. Whispering Fields feels like a fragrant potion concocted by some daring fae folk as an earthly offering to queen Titania of the Seelie Court. A precious gift that is bound to hold her whimsical favor for the next millennium. Bound by the magic of Lughnasadh. Smooth strawberry paste mixed into single-malt scotch, sprinkled with osmanthus. The warm, powdery charm of a barley field, burnt golden by the summer sun, ready for harvest, the heat of it brilliantly enhanced by a hint of turmeric. A whiskey-soaked, leathery pear with sweet, musky angelica, earthy marigold, woody, dusty vetiver and tingly-warm ginger. A scent worthy of a fairy queen.

I would like to express my admiration. I became an SF lover the second I took my first sniff. I was out of by my reaction. I would have bathed in the scent if I could. I'd crawl like an ant into a bottle. It totally opens my eyes when I smell Whispering Fields, I don't know what it is. I'd like to find out. I feel happy with this scent. I want to fly away. So really it is an open field, a wide field, we feel the wind, the earth and the immense freedom, the smell does not ground the overlying though it is strong. This is my 2nd favourite SF fragrance... I’m not entirely sure how to best describe this fragrance. No words can give even a small hint of emphasis. The only way that I can explain this fragrance is if I compared it in a musical sense. With that in mind, this fragrance resembles “Spring” by Vivaldi. If you know, you know... Truly a beautiful piece of art in liquid form. Would definitely recommend!

A true example of artisanal perfumery, the kind that is made in small quantities and for experienced noses. A perfume made with natural oils, unique and truly original. Like all those from Space Fluid and with the detail of illustrating each of their bottles by hand. WHISPERING FIELDS It takes you with your imagination to a barley field at every moment of the day, from when the cereals begin to illuminate with the first rays of the sun, until it sets and the night begins. From the beginning the smell is intense, like an olfactory bomb where you slowly begin to smell that field of barley and the dryness of the cereals gives off a very special smell that, together with the osmanthus, becomes more herbal and its greenish nuances merge with the aroma of field and land in the early hours of the morning. The heart is a great fusion of different notes where you have to pay attention and enjoy each one of them. The freshness of vetiver, the spicy tones of turmeric and whiskey with its alcoholic strength, form an olfactory balm that envelops you and intoxicates your sense of smell to take you to this heart with so many ingredients, that at a given moment surprises you and begins to sweeten with ripe strawberry and moisten an elegant leather with its juice and fill it with spicy and sparkling tones from the ginger. Everything is surrounded by the woody and earthy nuances of patchouli, which will be felt again until the end of the fragrance. The middle part becomes totally floral and each of the flowers brings the best of its aroma. The brightness of jasmine and its sweetness along with the herbal touches of daisy mix with tuberose and all its sensuality, slightly powdery tones are noticeable from violets and iris and each of the flowers seems to be wet with the soft juice of a pear, giving a touch of fruit to such a peculiar flowering garden. At the base we again smell another liqueur with menthol nuances, absinthe, slightly bitter and that takes an unexpected turn to make with its aroma a fragrance that in the drydown becomes relaxing and refreshing and that together with the angelica closes this composition in a way aromatic and always herbal. After carefully smelling each of these fragrances I have been able to learn again what a niche, artisanal and different perfume really is. Space Fluid are very different creations, for very well-educated noses that are looking for a work of olfactory art, something unique that not everyone can understand and that is precisely why they are so original. They are jewels of great olfactory value made from artisanal work and not valid for people who do not understand perfumes of this great category.

Loved the complex fruitiness of this on paper and within the first few minutes on skin, so I thought I could pull this off as a summer scent. But, found that after some time all that came through was the turmeric and a vague spicy leatheriness. I think the turmeric and ginger combined in a way that felt too food-like and unfortunately a bit icky. Might try again when it's not the heat of summer but for now it's a no-go.

what stuck out most to me was the smell of an alcoholic beverage mixed with something old and dirty maybe? then lightly a slightly fresh and sweet scent. unfortunately i do not like what it mainly smells like.

Not sure if its the tumeric, absinthe or hay note but one or more of those is absolutely REPULSIVE. I literally balked and recoiled when i sniffed this fragrance. I have never had a negative reaction to a fragrance whose top two accords are fruity and sweet - until this monstrosity. I really wanted to like this house too. I might try one more. Might not. Still very aromatic, though accented by a hint of sweet fruit, the image of a fruit paste comes to mind. Surrounded by herbs, aromatics, and spices. The kind of atmosphere you'd find in a magician's lair with a floor of dry, beaten earth—a note that can be perceived in the background. Mystical. Enchanting.
