clean.. bright..early morning breeze ..smells like mastic ..in the dry down.. in the background..dewy..fresh.. .a mix of old school.. slightly woodsy.. musky.. a hint manly ..it reminds me of my dad ..it reminds me of a late 80 ies perfume or an array of perfumes..thats how clean skin smells like ..its a skin scent..its a simple.. fine.. clean.. sophisticated.. yet approachable perfume.. one that doesn't bother.. anyone sitting next to you.. it enhances the natural sweetness in your body.. and gives a subtle aroma of flowers.. dry florals.. not overly ripe..i wish it lasted longer though..highly alcoholic as u first spray it.. but the ethanol quickly disappears in to thin air.. leaving behind a mediterranean.. mastic.. luban.. like faint trail of happiness ..its a serene perfume..an everyday perfume.. a morning to evening even a bed time relaxing sent..and for the extremely low price of 5 pounds its worth every penny i would love to have back ups..i got it in a swap from a nice lady it was my first and only swap and i am in love with it ...

i did own "Freak" by Illamasqua. But swapped it. Amazingly cool bottle indeed. But I still much more prefer this "Champaca" by SPACE NK. Both Freak & this scent is made by the same nose: AZZI GLASSER. The scents are very similar, but this one from space nk smells, in my own humble opinion, much better. PLUS it lasts longer. Is more unique. And best of all = is cheaper. If you haven't got the ££-money for Freak. Try this for less. :) PS: i'm not *in any way* trashing FREAK. I just happen to prefer this one, by the same nose, amazingly talented Miss Glasser <3 .

The staying power of this isn't the best... but my goodness it's a charmer. I'm doing the repeat wrist sniff like crazy... and I'm compelled to do so. It's light spicy floral, a little sweet, warm and fuzzy enough for winter, is just precise and perfect. I tried Ormonde Jayne, and this is quite obviously the same note.. but with a lightness of touch that is less oily somehow. It dances, if you know what I mean. I'd agree with Miss Guerlain who is a fine reviewer.. 5 stars.

a lovely sweet little floral-woody perfume... or a bright oriental? it's not deep oriental, it's springlike, soft and tender. lingers very well. opening is a little spicy and it dries down quickly to the heart of a creamy and sweet champaca flower with trails of warm woods and vanilla, amber and soft musk with a special kick of mhyrr on the base - very lovely! it stays and stays with a wonderful sillage. i m impressed!

Thanks to MrsLetterO,I have the chance to own it and I m so so happy for this,especially in spring and summer time. Warm and sensual,delightful! I wish for a better longevity,but on clothes is working ok. I don't get the point of discontinuing this silent beauty! If you will be lucky to find it,test it,you won't regret!

5 of 5 stars!! Perfection!! This is a flower lightly brushed by the dawn, a flower like a ghost. "Champaca" is made by Perfumer Azzi Glasser, who has designed ranges for Kylie, Nicole Farhi and Agent Provocateur.

Love this perfume; unfortunately Space NK have stopped making it and are only selling the dregs on their website. Would love to hear from people who have tried any similar alternatives!

Just a heads up for people who love this perfume, I bought a 50ml bottle from SpaceNK's UK website for £5 in the sale, it's still available too. I like this perfume enough, it has a gentle opening (of course, the main note being Champaca) and develops into a spicy smell reminiscent of Illamasqua's Freak, but softer and less jarring. I have problems as mentioned by others with the longevity (or lack thereof) which will prevent me reaching for this perfume too often. I like to stink of fragrance (poor people who have to share a bus with me!) and this is very subtle. I feel like it would be a nice holiday fragrance though, to wear on a balmy night in a warm country.

Mine arrived yesterday. I'm not going to bother reviewing the scent much, and comment on the sillage and lasting power first. I sprayed three direct sprays onto the exact same spot on my arm 45 minutes ago. I can no longer smell even the tiniest remnant of this perfume, even if I smush my nose into my arm. While I know that EDTs tend towards the weaker end of the spectrum, this is just ridiculous. I own shower gels with more kick. As such, I can't recommend this perfume to anyone because it takes such a small time to vanish. What is the point of wearing a perfume if no one can smell it? Scent wise it smells like SJP's Twilight on my skin, and I get a little bit of a With Love vibe too. Disappointing.

this one was discounted to a mere 8 pounds for a 50 ml bottle, what a bargain!!! I thought i would give champaca a go as i was strongly intrigued by Tom Ford's Champaca Absolute once (never had the chance to find/sniff it in shops) Having looked at the top notes I was a bit afraid that this would start off overwhelmingly spicy. Not at all! I would prefer to say they make the intro more delicious in a fruity way! Not too sure what champaca flower smells like in real life (someone once here compared champaca to magnolias). All I can say this is a very gentle floral. With time passing this turned a little bit soapy on my wrist but still within my barriers. All in all, it is a lovely feminine fragrance, quite the safe side but I can imagine it as a man-magnet :). On longevity I will give an update later but does not appear to be a sillage monster :) I am now thinking to go back for another bottle from this little gem :)

stupendo! it's creamy, little bit spicy, amber/myrrh-gorgeousness! the champaca is surrounded by all the other notes and throughout you smell the development from the more cinnamony/cardamon champaca to amber/myrrh champaca. and never too strong, too faint, just please use sparingly! little goes fortunately a long way! it's an oriental not like opium, more in the moschino/montana-style. have only the 15ml-want more!

I'm always looking for something that is off the beaten track! I was lucky to purchase this in the SpaceNK sale at £10 for 50mls along with the body lotion and shower gel for another £10! I am so impressed! I've not tried SpaceNK perfumes before but this one is a definite keeper! Sillage is there but not overpowering. I get the champaca and soft vanilla! Gentle and very, very wearable with anything! Love it!

This is beautiful, fresh but not sharp and a little warm amber softening it's edge. I forgot I had a little bottle of this, lost in the bottom of my perfume basket! great for day or night and should arouse interest as it is not so well known. Lasts well and as mentioned below, only a lttle of this is needed.

A light plasticky musk. I don't think it smells like Freak at all. Not unpleasant, maybe a bit meh-ish. Weak lasting power. I might have bought one or two bottles (nice bottles) at £5 but looked and those sale items have all gone, darn!
