Egyptian Sugar Soiree

Just got my sample today and it’s lovely! Sweet on the opening and I thought oh no here we go down Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar lane but the sweetness fades on dry down and the spicy vanilla comes out supported by the coconut and cream notes but it’s all veeeery subtle. I don’t tend to like coconut notes and these are soft and just waving there in the background supporting the spiced vanilla. I’ve only been wearing it for just under two hours but one spray on the back of my hand has a huge scent bubble. Getting lovely whiffs as I move around. All the notes are present and smell well blended, no one note jumps out. It’s soft and comforting yet with a big presence. I’ve liked most of the offerings from this house. This is another solid one.

Beautiful sugary sweet with a hint of coconut. However, its not like sunscreen coconut but like the sweet milk added to a sweet vanilla drink. This is a great layering fragrance for sweetening up other fragrances which even alone this is beautiful with good projection and silage though I don't know about longevity since I go nose blind to it within an hour. Definitely get the travel side unless you know you love super sweet fragrances because this is sugar bomb of ooey rich goodness. I do love this fragrance just wish it was more affordable so I could justify blowing through it - however still a decent enough price compared to other fragrances.

I love it. This is what I was hoping for with Commodity Milk and Empire Victor. To me this is different than Milk. That has spice and more depth. Both are good, but different vibes. This is a sweet coconut cream cake. I am so glad that I scored a deal on a travel size. I think I like it more than Eclaire, Marshmallow Blush, and Empire Victor. I will more than likely purchase this for my next full bottle Gourmand purchase. I am glad to have Eclaire in my collection, but this is my favorite gourmand right now along with Devotion Intense. Just scrumptious!

One of the best marshmallow forward fragrances I’ve ever smelled. The milk and cream are done beautifully as well. If you aren’t into powdery, musky scents, though, she might not be the one for you. The musk is a bit screechy in this one, that same musk that everyone (EXCEPT ME lol) are going crazy over right now. I have a sample of this perfume and I will enjoy wearing it until it’s gone, but I don’t think I will shell out the money to buy a full-size decanter. NOTE: It layers well with Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow and her many dupes.

Bianco Latte is not my thing and I don’t know what resemblance there is to this. In my opinion they are not comparable for this is more gentle and less screechy. Bianco Latte smells cheap. Egyptian Sugar Soiree is refreshingly refined, not loud, it is very airy and delicious, with certain classy touch that makes it outstanding. On my skin the vanilla is mingling with the coconut cream in a musky air. There are no chemical notes here. I’m so happy with it! Sphinx knows how to make great gourmands.

I really love the smell of this scent. It’s a gorgeous, cotton candy, coconut cream scent. Very comforting. Sadly I sold my bottle due to the terrible performance. On me this is a skin scent and only detectable if I really press my nose to my wrist. Such a shame because it really smells so good while it lasts. Update - having sold this I regret it. I love the scent and I’ll probably repurchase it on Black Friday, but the longevity is utterly diabolical on me

I'm not sure why I waited to try this one out for so long. It is just like the notes and it has a good performance. Bought a travel size to test and ordered a full size the next day. It is close to Yum Boujee Marshmallow by Kayali imo but with an amplified coconut note, it is also stronger and longer lasting. It stays around 6 hours on me and has a moderate projection. It's super sweet, coconuty, fluffy and creamy. I love it!

INCREDIBLE! My partner blind bought a large bottle of this with a sample set, and nothing in the set nearly touched the sweet divinity found here. This is every single thing Yum Bougie Marshmallow should have been. Soon as it hit my skin I immediately recognized the resemblance to Commodity Milk. This is much sweeter and once again just exceeds it in every single way. Time will only make this better...🥰

An absolute sugar bomb. Layers nicely with Kayali Boujee Marshmallow and Candy Rock. I imagine it would go well with Black O's Glitter and on the cheaper side, Grande's Moonlight etc. or Spears' Candied Fantasy..

this smells like a dream to me. it reminds me of an ice cream shoppe, softly sweet and creamy. i’m so sad i only had a small sample of this, i will be getting again soon. it’s such a delicious fragrance

They threw a sample of this in my last order and it smells absolutely delicious. My girlfriend loves it too. Definitely will be getting her a bottle to put on my shelf lol.

so freaking good 10/10. could smell it on myself all day. the first thing my co worker told me when i came to work wearing this is that i smelled good

just coming back to say that this is the best perfume i’ve ever smelled, and if i were to make a perfume it would be this. this is so me 😂😭

I love this perfume but the longevity is so bad. I can't justify $130 for a petfume that lasts as long as a body mist.

Every time a fragrance has a "whipped cream" note I find that its not that remarkable. This one however opens up as exactly that, a massive blast of a nozzle full of Anchor spray cream, majorly lactonic, atop an incredibly sugared coconut cake. It is sweet, delectable and has just the right touch of musk to bring the cream and candied notes all together. I love this one! Doesn't have the fruit of Yum Boujee Marshmallow, its just straight up sugary cream with a little warm coconut. Seems to last and will be ideal for layering with any fragrance you want to add some sweetness to. Something in this also reminds me of Venom of Love which makes no sense as that is a chocolate cherry fragrance although VoL does have a whipped cream note so perhaps it is a similar one to this and I just wasn't picking it up as whipped cream in the blend. Oh and yeah, I haven't tried Bianco Latte - must be the last person on earth not to have done so - but I did own Eclaire and there are some similarities in the drydown but this one is airier and doesn't have that deep butterscotchy thing that Eclaire does.

A friend gifted me a few Sphinx samples and this one turned out to be my favourite. I'm not too experienced with super sweet perfumes but my my do I love them haha. This is to me the smell of those cupcake dolls, cotton candy machines spinning sugar in the summer, uber hyper mega girly girls I remember from school, chewy sweets, chupa chups, just an overall sweetness bomb of feminine gorgeousness. I combine it with Juicy Coutures Dirty English like the feral weirdo I am. Love! Do not under any circumstances wear it during a heatwave, I beg thee.

I'm re-doing my review as I have been wearing this a little more often: This fragrance is sweet, creamy, and dreamy. As it dries down it has a distinct powdery-musky scent but the coconut is still prominent throughout the fragrance. Very vanilla, coconut and cream. My only complaint is that it doesn't project or last very long, which is disappointing considering it is an extrait. Not my favorite in my collection but a very pretty fragrance.

I feel like I already have a million scents like this plus this one has an underlying playdoh note and I really was hoping for something other than a Bianco Milk Escapade . It says under the “cons” that it needs to sit and mature to reach its full potential, which is fine considering I bought this in spring when this is undoubtedly a cold weather scent. Hopefully by mid autumn this wows me a bit more.

Smells like a buttercream cake/pastry with some candy notes.

Light, coconut whip cream. It’s fine, nothing special.

Nothing particularly Egyptian about this one, so don't be scared about the name. It smells like a very milky candy, almost with condensed milk and a bit of coconut milk. The milkiness is not particularly like a full fat cream, but only a little creamy and the milky candy aspect is a bit artificial to my liking. Somehow this type of scent I don't enjoy when it is synthetic (don't like fake butter, cream, milk, etc) scents, although I enjoy synthetic fruits. I can tell that it will certainly get better with age, more full bodied, etc (as it lacks a bit of richness at the moment). It is nice, sweet and candylike, but the artificially flavoured milky candy is not my favourite, although many people enjoy such sweets/scents. I guess I am getting too picky with the size of my gourmand collection. So will not be keeping the bottle as there are other scents I prefer way more.

I ordered a 10ml decant as soon as Sphinx Fragrances sent the email about its release. I already own 4 full bottles from the brand. For reference, I am a 43 year old woman so I am selective about sweet fragrances. I would describe this as sweet in an almost juvenile way. I can appreciate a fragrance that is youthful but this is definitely more juvenile in my opinoin. It is soft with an almost pillowy aspect to it. I enjoy complex fragrances, and this is quite the contrary. I thought of Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance when I initially smelled it but Beyond Romance smells better.

I really wanted to love this one, by the description I thought it would be right up my alley. I never thought I'd say it, but it was too sweet for my liking. It was a blind buy fail. It's a very creamy scent, like buttercream frosting. I've seen mention of it being similar to Pink Sugar, but I haven't smelled it to know how it compares. There's a note that doesn't work for me, likely the benzoin. I may try layering it with something that needs a little extra sweetness, though ultimately it will probably be something I destash, I don't think I will reach for it often.

I just sprayed some before going to the gym and mid-workout, I started wondering why it smelt familiar. Yes, to my nose there's Bianco Latte but as someone else mentioned, not as harsh. I find Bianco Latte hard to wear and just bearable to smell when my daughter wears it. Egyptian Sugar Soiree is more subtle. Unfortunately, as my brain is stuck on the BL similarity, I can't pick the coconut much but it's not loss. Not a full bottle for me but if my daughter likes this more than BL, it's a slightly cheaper option that doesn't distress my nose as much!

As soon as I sprayed this, my immediate thought was “Bianco Latte”! I might have had a flash of fruity notes but it disappears as soon as it starts. The dry down is so similar to Bianco Latte that it makes no sense to have both.

I love the first 5 minutes, sweet, creamy and coconutty but then dries down and the sweetness is gone. All I smell afterwards is clean musks. Still good just wish the initial sweetness lasted longer.

No... just no.... The concept sounded heavenly. I wanted this to be a replacement for B&BW Whipped Coconut Milkshake cause the body wash is everything. This smells pretty for like the first 5 seconds, on my personal skin and this could just be a me problem but this smells like something that reminds me of a freshly cleaned public bathroom. You know when you walk into a McDonalds bathroom and it smells half clean half musty. Yeah it’s like half sweet half musty. Maybe musty isn’t the correct word but it’s musty adjacent, chemically, plastic like. Yeah..... disappointing

Opens with a blast of coconut, after that dries its a sickingly sweet synthetic smell of amoxicillin takes over. ( I had to scrub it off) Will let it macerate and will update if my thoughts change in the future

This is an absolute confection. Dreamy, sweet, creamy cloud of a fragrance. As a gourmand lover, this is SO good! I find it less sickly than Bianco Latte and much more sophisticated. Bianco Latte is very nice and I enjoy it very much but this has slightly more going on which makes it more interesting. In future I will buy this rather than BL and I am considering which one of the other Sphinx fragrances to try next. I love the sound of Horchata de Vanille and Vanilla Azure.

I mean, its a pretty and soft feminine vanilla milk, doesn't last long, doesn't project. I would get better performance and depth from Brooklyn Ellis Vanilla Milk. This soft vanilla profile is pretty and one of my favorite but if it doesn't project or last, I won't reach for it. Buy it if you dont have other vanilla but you dont need it

My nose must be very sensitive to the screechy musks which are similar to the ones in Erba Pura or Intense Cafe, because that’s mainly what I smell here. There’s a very pleasant layer of powdered sugar, but it’s drowned by the musk, so I’m not getting much coconutty milky sugary warmth, just another stale musky scent.

Extremely sweet candy with musk. I just got it and thats what I get right off the bat. I really dont get the milk and coconut yet just a syrupy candy. Like a lollipop that melted in the sun. Smells good but I'm hoping maceration will bring some of the creaminess out.

This is super yummy, confectionary, and creamy, like a crystalized cousin of YBM mixed with VCRS. Smells kind of like an ice cream parlor or dessert shop but with considerable musk undertones.

Tooo sweet for my taste... It’s kinda juvenile to me.. I have had it since winter but i’ll revisit in the Summer maybe i’ll like it better if not i’ll declutter and give to my daughter

I have a decant of this and I’m testing it out now. It has that screechy musk that I can’t stand that over powers everything, which sucks because I do get a hint of sweetness.

Initial spray is absolutely sweet. Too sweet I almost choked. Dry down is nice and reminds me of Commodity Milk. Can’t tell if I’m keeping this one, I need to test this out.

This one is worth the hype. Lactonic spun sugar scent. Dreamy, feminine, ultra sweet but not in a bad way like LDBS. I’m buying a full bottle when this 10 ml is done

The first few wears, it wasn't giving. I let sit for a few weeks and it's fabulous. Maybe I'm strange, but it's giving 85% HufflePuff but thicker and better sillage.

My nose must be broken. All I smell is synthetic chemicals with a sprinkle of sugar. I let it sit for a while hoping it was just the travel but it never got better.

All the notes are exactly what you smell. I really like this. It’s like a creamy candy but it’s not childishly sweet. There’s something nostalgic about it as well.

Coconut milk with a ton of sugar in it. Very creamy and light. Not much to it but not bad. Something for summer vacation fun, not to be taken too seriously.

I started to only collect samples and judge if a scent is full bottle purchase worthy. All I can say is, I'm adding a bottle to my cart now. 😍

This perfume is a beautiful blend of Vanilla, creamy delicious coconut and whipped cream! A dream!!!!
