Update for this scent The opening is a little bit of a shock: it's like someone just threw a bunch of fruit at you. The citrusy notes are perfectly balanced, though, and they give way to the spicy, smokey base that's all about ISO E Super. It's not too strong, and it's definitely not for everyone—it has a very particular scent profile. But if you're looking for something that will make you smell like your favorite fruit salad with a little bit of spice mixed in? This is it! I looove this one

This is a year round easy grab. Signature is the perfect name for this scent. You won't smell exactly like anyone else, but it's also a mass appealing, non-offensive fragrance. Calm woods with shadow of fruit and cinnamon. Easily a fragrance you can't go wrong with. Great for professional settings. Probably would grab something more sensual for a date night. If you have 30+ fragrances it's not a need but definitely recommend getting your nose on this one.

Yep. Easy to wear, lovely smell. Not ground breaking but better than most designer fragrances. Very sweet. Mass appeal. Easily be worn by men and women but I'd say it's a tad on the masculine side. Worth a buy.

Moving right along with my discovery set from Sphinx Fragrances, today I'm looking at Sphinx Signature. So far my experience with this house has been a positive one, with Oceanic Symphony, which I reviewed yesterday, getting a 10/10 in the scent category. Without looking at the notes, the green bottle for Sphinx Signature comes to mind as something classically masculine, maybe green or aromatic. How accurate will this assumption be? Let's get into it and find out. Scent: The opening is sweet, spicy, and citrusy. The primary notes I get are fruity notes, cinnamon, vanilla, and mandarin orange. The strongest of the notes are the fruity notes and cinnamon. The fruity notes are what I noticed right away, and they come across sweet and juicy, like a pear note to my nose. The cinnamon comes in directly behind the sweet fruitiness to provide a solid dose of warm, powdery spiciness with distinctly woody undertones. Up next is the mandarin orange and vanilla. The mandarin orange builds on the juicy fruitiness from the "fruit notes" but adds a touch of citrus as well. Lastly, the vanilla rounds out the opening with a dose of creamy sweetness in the background. There's also a noticeable accord of powdery, clean, and aromatic lavender in the opening as well. As soon as I smelled the opening, I knew I had smelled something similar to this before: JPG's Ultra Male. The sweet, fruity, and spicy profile is close to Ultra Male; they even share some of the same notes, but Ultra Male is noticeably heavier on the bubble gummy, vanillic sweetness. I'm also slightly reminded of Guerlain's L'Homme Ideal EDP. There isn't an almond note listed in Sphinx Signature, but I get a hint of it somewhere. The dry down is sweet, spicy, and woody. The primary notes I get are vanilla, cinnamon, ISO E Super, and lavender. The strongest of the notes are the cinnamon and vanilla. The cinnamon is still a focus in the dry down with the same warm, powdery spiciness. However, the vanilla has risen to the top to blend it's creamy sweetness with the warmth of the cinnamon to create an almost gourmand accord. This is followed by the ISO E Super and lavender. The ISO E Super comes through in the dry down as a sturdy and persistent woodiness, adding a masculine touch. Lastly, the lavender has grown in strength as well, for a bigger dose of the powdery aromatics I got in the opening. I also get small tinges of warmth and earthiness from the tobacco and patchouli, respectively. Performance: Initial projection is very strong and can easily fill a room. Sillage matches that energy with a dense and heavy scent trail. After about 4 hours, the projection was still about 6 feet, and the scent trail was lighter but still easily noticeable. At the 7-hour mark, the projection was within arm's length, and the scent trail was still there but faint. The fragrance became a skin scent shortly afterwards. When to wear: Sphinx Signature is a fall/winter fragrance that can be worn during the daytime or evening. This fragrance is versatile enough to be worn casually or for special occasions, but I wouldn't wear it to the office or for formal events. Blind buy: If you like sweet and warm fragrances like Ultra Male or L'Homme Ideal EDP, this is a safe blind buy for you. Final verdict: Sphinx Signature took a very recognizable and appealing scent profile, and in my opinion, successfully remastered it. From the spicy and fruit-forward opening to the sweet and woody dry down, this fragrance was a pleasure to wear. Unfortunately, longevity wasn't quite as good as the previous Sphinx Fragrances I've reviewed so far. Sphinx Signature had great push for the first few hours, but it quickly fell off after that and became a skin scent around the 8-hour mark. Not bad performance by any measure, just not quite as long-lasting as I thought it would be. Versatility for this fragrance is average. It's made for the cooler months, but it can be worn day or night, casually or for special occasions. Mass appeal is another win for this fragrance. This is one of those scent profiles that will draw people in and get compliments. To wrap this up, I think Sphinx Signature is another great offering from the house that most people would be happy to have in their collection. Since I already own Ultra Male and L'Homme Ideal EDP, owning this would be a bit redundant for me, but I would recommend anyone who needs something in this category to give Sphinx Signature a try. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 8/10

For some reason this smells like they melted a cherry Dum-Dum, poured it over vanilla tobacco, and rolled it up in a black and mild cigar. The sillage is moderate, it doesn't leave much of a trail, but if someone is standing near you, they will smell it. I tested this out at work yesterday(car dealership), I got 1 compliment and that was only because I gave the customer a hug. The Longevity on skin is easily 24 hours(not projecting just skin scent), the longevity on clothing is the same except you can easily smell it and catch the whole profile. The best example I can give is after 24 hours on skin you can smell a very faint hint of a fragrance, but on my shirt it smell like I just sprayed it 2 hours ago. This is full bottle worthy. These were my spray points: On skin was all pulse points one spray each point(6 sprays) On clothing was LR collar, back collar, LR shoulder, and mid chest. (6 sprays) This is how I test all the time, it helps me gauge how I will need to spray in the future if I decide to purchase.

Sweet tobacco signature, my gosh, this is like a citrusy Oud Tobacco by Montale. I thoroughly enjoy this and it, thankfully, is not as strong as the Montale.

smells like a high quality black and mild

#1501 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this decant from ScentSplit. This isn't a widely available fragrance line, but it is a US company with a website (https://sphinxfragrances.com/collections/all-fragrances). Direct prices are around $115 online, but with bundled pricing it gets down to $100 for 100ml. This particular scent, "Sphinx Signature" is a little heavy on the lavender for my taste, which tends to remind me of the lavender laundry detergent a girlfriend likes that I keep around for when she's in town. (I prefer that everything other than my fragrances not have fragrance as it interferes with the scent I've chosen for the day.).Overall it's too sweet for my taste and I notice their line includes a plethora of very sugary scents. To my nose it does resemble Alexandria "1981X." I don't have but a few of their products, and that's one I have. [Despite that they produce some great dupes I kicked them to the curb as their customer service treats customers with a degree of contempt, and I won't put up with that.] This scent is carpool, elevator and small office safe, but your office, place of business, businesses you frequent, may have hand soap in the restrooms that come off like this. I think overall lavender is already everywhere and I avoid it in scents as its commonality makes a scent heavy with lavender come off cheap. A half hour in the lavender tones down and more incense comes through, improving the scent, but it still has that lavender hand soap vibe. I am however going to order a decant of "Sphinx Elixir" as it one of their less sweet and rosey scents and the notes look interesting. Despite this scent wasn't a hit with me the quality is obviously solid, the pricing is reasonable for a quality scent, and I do want to support domestic perfumers when I can.

I really enjoy this scent. I get mainly lavender, almonds, vanilla and musk. It feels like there’s some similarities to Naxos in a way but with a dominant sweet almond/powdered lavender way. I’m gonna run through the travel spray but I’m considering getting a full size when this finishes. It lasts a while especially on clothes and is so versatile, especially in cold weather. I don’t get much citrus (a little in the opening) or tobacco at all but overall I get a creamy yet musky vibe that is very grounding.

I was very surprised I love this one as much as I do. There is so many notes in it, that I can’t stand usually such as ; lavender, tabacco, patchouli, leather even incense sometime is hard for me. Sphinx included a sample of this in my order and felt maddly in love with it. It’s sexy perfect for a date night. Bought a full size bottle after testing it properly. I love it !!

This feels like a tamer and fresher version of Oajan (both cinammon bombs). Not bad, but not really my thing. 7.5/10
