Miss Dupont

ST DuPont seem to make nicely constructed quality fragrances. This one is no exception. Reading other people's reviews I notice how many people say it reminds them of something but what that something is seems to vary a lot! It puts me in mind towards the beginning of Lagerfeld's Sun, Moon Stars. But the dry down is different. The opening is light floral, almost fizzy with a bit of top note of citrus and peach. Then it goes very pleasantly rosy before an unexpectedly sultry dry down of dark earthy vetiver and amber. Whereupon the peach has another contribution to make but on a lower note and blending sweetly with a touch of vanilla. I would swear there was patchouli down there in the earthiness. Must be the vetiver. It's lovely all along. Feminine and subtle. And surprising.

This is a gentle, faintly fruity skin scent that reminds me a lot of Burberry Body, but is selling for a fraction of the cost. It won't shock or turn heads, but will keep you smelling pleasant the entire workday, simply enhancing your own scent (notes of peach and sandalwood tend to do that) plus the traces of shampoo or soap on your person. In the beginning, I get a very faint astringency from the grapefruit. The powdery rose aspect emerges after about an hour. Miss Dupont's seductive quality is in its subtlety. A blind buy that turned out better than I had expected.

I never thought that I could LOVE perfume, but here it is - Miss Dupont! I could only wish it to have better longevity, but actually it is not a problem- keep small bottle it your bag and spray whenever you want. And don't get me wrong, it is not that Miss Dupont fades away very fast, no. Mild and sophisticated scent stays very close to skin even 12h after spraying. Simply, if you want others to enjoy this beautiful fragrance on you, then some extra sprays during the day is needed.

This perfume is reminiscent of Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love due to the gentle peach note. It's definitely not the overly sharp and synthetic peach notes you get in bath and body products. Very polite peach :) There's a strong sandalwood smell in this perfume. To the point it reminds me of being in a sauna. So to sum it up, this perfume smells like eating a ripe peach in a sauna. Very calming and sensual.

An unexpected hit! I bought this blind-it was in the local 'bargains' shop and I thought I'd give it a go. To be honest, I'd never heard of ST Dupont, never mind any of their fragrances, but based on this one, I think I might keep a look out for them. This is a very well constructed and layered fragrance-its light and elegant, slightly sweet without being sickly, and a pleasant clean floral note, predominantly rose. There is a little fruitiness with the peach notes but this is very faint on me-normally I find fruity florals rather sickening but the fruity peach isn't overbearing and this is far more floral in type. There is a clean rose in the dry down, and then a warm wood and sandalwood, tempered with an understated and elegant vanilla. I'm not entirely sure what galbanum is supposed to smell like, but I didn't get any resinous or pine scent really, just a soft woody note that was smooth and calm. It is of reasonable longevity-I put it on at 7am in the morning and at 3.30 in the afternoon I was still getting soft wisps of powder and vanilla. I think the price in no way reflects the quality of this fragrance, and the bottle is absolutely gorgeous-very elegant. To me this is a summer day wear fragrance, quite 'young' but not girly and really very pretty all round.

Dupont has some nice scents that seem to go rather unnoticed. I haven't tried Miss Dupont until recently and I must say I like it even better than my previous favourites - Passenger and Blanc. Miss Dupont is soft, peachy and rosy, slightly powdery and quite girly in the begining. A dry fruity fragrance. There is something in it that makes me think of cotton candy without the tons of sugar. The opening is fruity and reminds me a lot of the osmanthus opening and overall impression of Gucci Flora, except more reserved and soft. I could also smell the resemblance with Burberry Body. Miss Dupont however is more quiet than both and less bitter sweet than Flora. It would suit anyone who does not care for a huge projection and lasting power. The dry down is average but very pleasing with a dominant note of soft sandalwood. The lasting power is far from excellent, but I'd take it, given that Miss Dupont stays close to the skin. I could almost see it as a "summer" version of the classic Burberry. All but the very first Burberry Summer in my opinion kind of failed to do that properly. Overall, there is nothing outstanding in Miss Dupont, but it's so nice. I'd wear it any time of the year, although it might be too sweet for temps over 30C.

Blind buy, as I am still looking for my perfect scent that smells like powder and another one that's like luxurious soap :) I'll say it's a pleasantly strange smell. Delicate but strong, sweet but spicy. I'm not the biggest fan of sweet perfumes but this one is very delicate and somehow it works. It's more of a day scent for me, rather than night, for every day wear. I don't know if it would work in the summer but it's perfect for autumn/ winter. It's only the first day I'm wearing it so we'll see how will it work with me, but first thought is "I like it" :)

Gorgeous, soft, gentle, warm (but not in a spicy way), comforting, sweet (but not in a sickly way) and a bit like being wrapped up in a lovely soft angora jumper! Lots of velvety rose and fuzzy peachy fruit. Perfect for Autumn, just as the mornings and evenings start to have a bit of chill..but will also be great in the Winter to make you feel calm and cosy...Oh and it lasts for hours too.

Lovely flower fragrance very much alike Miracle by Lancome. It lasts looong and the notes keep complimenting each other so every sniff is a different experience. I also like the bottle, similar in shape with Deep red by Boss and one of the Rihanna scents. This scent has a lot of charm and warmth

Wonderful, feminine and serious perfume. I've been wearing this fragrance during winter season, it has a certain warmth. I would like to wear it again.

powdery creamy rose scent with peach.i like it a lot.too bad it has bad staying power .I wish it lasted like Essence pure for women

I`m sorry but I think the galbanum on top notes is very sickening to me.

I purchased a miniature of Miss Dupont by S.T. Dupont approximately two years ago, and whilst I was cleaning out my perfume cabinet today I picked out this little gem to give it a sniff. Unfortunately, my miniature sample had almost evaporated entirely, despite the lid being firmly secured. Luckily I had enough juice left to review this fragrance before I lost the opportunity to do so. Miss Dupont is a sweet, sugary and somewhat powdery floral. I don't think I'd ever buy a full bottle of this fragrance, but I do enjoy wearing it from time to time. Miss Dupont shares some similarities with Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love and Burberry for Women. It has a rich peach schnapps opening on my skin with a touch of powder and vanilla. The drydown brings into play a smooth, feminine blend of creamy sandalwood, pink rose and amber. It's a very feminine fragrance, sweet enough to appeal to the younger market, but interesting enough with its peach note to attract older women too. The sillage is quite strong, so it is best applied with a light hand. Miss Dupont's longevity is also quite impressive. I would highly recommend smelling this fragrance before jumping into a blind purchase despite its appealing price point. If you can't manage to track down a sample, Miss Dupont miniatures are still easy to buy, but I would advise using it up quickly as mine evaporated super fast.

Shhhhh!! If I tell you about this little gem, please keep it to yourself. This was gifted to me and I had never before, tried a Dupont perfume. What a surprise! The initial spray is a burst of fruity florals which are very attractive and elegant in the first instance settling into a sweet, woody, forest, followed by a sweet infusion of vanilla and sandalwood all toned down by a touch of musk. I don't get much powder in this fragrance but it is there, quietly sitting around and wafting up my nose from time to time. The price tag is no indication of the quality of the juice and longevity is impressive. I have never paid so little for a fragrance and smelled such great quality. This is a quietly elegant and classy little lady, but you know the saying 'still waters run deep'? Enough said.

New acquisition... I really need to stop buying perfume! But this is lovely. Just lovely - and I usually don't like gourmand scents. I don't have a super fine palate when it comes to perfume but this seems to be a lovely balanced vanilla-peach-sandalwood scent. It's sweet but very soft and comfy. The opening reminds me vaguely of JPG Classique (don't ask me why - I have no idea) Just WISH that it had a bit more sillage and longevity. This is going to be a favourite.

I bought the miniature bottle of this. Tried it last night. I get something fruity, then rosy and powdery. It is really very pleasant and I think could be worn very well on a sultry, balmy summer night in SA. There is something green and earthy here and perhaps something spicy. I thought that I had smelled a similar kind of smell before. However, I consider this to be an elegant summer evening go-to fragrance for me.

Nice and young and woody-sweet at first, you can say with confidence - "it's nice", not "its, Okeish" Within the month I learned to appreciate it more, its not that simple Rose, sandalwood, grapefruit and galbanum on sandal-powdery base it is something you can not just mix together and voila! Its gotta be good. So it is an affordable good one, for those who on sandal-rose side - a treasure

Very powdery fragrance with some sweet notes... Don't get much the peach, just powder. It smells a lot like White Lapidus White Soul which in its turn is quite similar to Tocade. Would describe it as pleasant but really nothing special though it has a good sillage and staying power like all the other Dupont fragrances.

This is now hard to find in the UK I remember it being easily available years ago and then dissapearing. It's a peach scent with a little hint of floral to me. Very 90's, reminds me of my teens. Great lasting power, this stays put for 8hrs maybe longer. I have a big bottle that I use sparingly for nostalgia

today I received Miss Dupont, an elegant fragrance,reprezentive for these times, first, I smell peach and rose than santalwood, and amber with a bit of vanilla. It's less sweeter than Essence Pure. The sillage is good and longevity over 6-7 hours on my skin.
