Perfect Tobacco

I blind bought this on the review of Joy Amin from YT. Interesting bottle design, a bit too cheesy. My first impression is "I didn't expect this". It's a sandwich of Vanilla on top, Oud at base, Ginger and Tuberose on first wave, then (what I could only described as smooth fragrant) Tobacco to finish it. Despite it's description, on my skin, Perfect Tobacco wrapped me with the scent of sweet milky vanilla that I can find in milky digestive biscuits which I love. It's addictive and super performance. On my skin, it lasted over 16 hours with explosive projection at the first 2 hours. On fabric, I can still smell it after 6 day . I don't care for comparison to other fragrance since it's difficult to find this one. It's in my favorite frag list. Wearing time: anytime, but it will work best for special occasion, such as wedding dinner or a date night. It's wearable durung the day, but I would avoid it for office use since it will be distracting, unless you are meeting an opposite gender. It is unisex and it has strong sex appeal so don't over spray. 2 spray is strong enough, 3 will start causing unwanted attention, 4 or more will out evil eyes on you, and if you bath in it I can promise you will experience beat downs, being thrown out of cafe or restaurant, or thrown out of car in the middle of a street. It's a beautiful fragrance with performance to be proud of. Excellent unisex fragrance that leans toward masculine side.

Perfect Tobacco is Dupont's version of a niche-y rose n' tobacco scent. For a <$100 perfume it smells very good, more elegant than most in its price tier. Perfect Tobacco opens with aromatic spices without sweetness or culinary aspects. A dark chocolate note gradually builds into a roasted tobacco accord. A deep, masculine rose begins to flower. It drips with wood resins and petroleum. This wonderful combination of oily, resinous rose & toasted tobacco forms the main presentation of Perfect Tobacco. As the scent dries, the rose recedes and is gradually replaced by vanilla. The tobacco is now toasted and sweetened. Overall, a great rose & cigar scent that is well balanced yet deeply masculine. For folks new to perfumes or on a budget, Perfect Tobacco would be one of the better tobacco scents available. It's one of the nicest cheapies I've had the pleasure of wearing. For niche hobbyists, this scent might be slightly flatter and a tad more synthetic than higher end scents with the same pyramid (such as the Prolixe) - yet at 1/3 the price, there's hardly much to complain about.

I own a bottle of Tobacco Flirting with Vanilla. Perfect Tobacco fits that name better, because I can actually smell the tobacco and vanilla. For under $70, this is a banger that to my nose smells and performs better than the much pricier Mes Bisous fragrance. I like that the rose and oud give it dimension without sticking out. They're just supporting notes, like how a bit of salt balances the sugar in some sweet desserts and improves the flavor. This is such a cozy, smooth, well-blended fragrance. It has some sweetness, like smelling an oatmeal cookie or brioche loaf a few inches from your nose. Not a gourmand scent, but has a bit of a gourmand-ey nosefeel to it.

This can't be real, I can literally bathe with this! From the opening through the dry down, it's really heavenly especially since I love tobacco, rose and oud. At first sniff I was immediately thinking of Tabac Rose, but with toned down sweetness so I tested out both Perfect Tobacco and Tabac rose, now I see why people vote down that it isn't Tabac Rose. While Tabac rose sweetness is a bomb like Montale Intense Cafe kind of sweetness, it is not the case with Perfect Tobacco. The sweetness is so balanced! So that we could sense all the notes listed. All-in-all, nothing can go wrong with this. Are you a tobacco lovers? Just grab this.

A very good and sweet, almost gourmand, tobacco fragrance with great longevity and projection on my skin. I know that scent is subjective but, I have to disagree with @1968voronkov. Perfect Tobacco and Carven's Paris la Havane have totally different take on tobacco and are not at all close. Paris la havane is similar to Davidoff Leather blend (which does not have tobacco). The tobacco in Paris la havane makes it smokier compare to Davidoff Leather Blend. On the other hand, Perfect Tobacco is in the same territory as Tobacco vanille (There are not similar).

I paid ca.40usd in 2022 for this and at that price rangw it is good. The initial blast of suger sweetness (5-10mins) can be off putting, but afterwards it develops into a much more balanced vanilla tobbaco experience. It is smooth, no animalic or ash tray notes, but also not much sweetness. Probably best enjoyed in a casual or date environment. It last quite long (8-10hrs) with a solid projection. It is definitely a cold weather frag.

An amazing cheapie that smells way more expensive than it is. It performs like an absolute beast too. It’s a great sweet, woody, vanilla tobacco fragrance. There is rose, cinnamon and western oud nuances. I love this one. Perfect Tobacco and Vanilla and Leather are the best. It’s very similar to the new Kayali Amber 23.

I do agree with some reviews here. This is an amazing perfume. Beautiful presentation, great aroma, affordable, and it's a beast SPL! More than 9 hours on my skin. Do not use more than 2 sprays because the vanilla can choke you :) I also agree that it we wish it more on tobacco side, rather on the vanilla side.

Opens with a nice blast of cinnamon like that one in azzaro pour homme intense then a cool dose of vanilla starts to kick with a rosy/ tobacco aspect to it Very nice scent for fall and winter nights Reminds me a lot with PDM Herod but so much better in value with a respectable ingredients Thumbs up dupont 👍🏻

St dupont must be really good people, this juice could easily be sold at tom ford or xerjoff at their unreasonable prices. Very well made perfume, smells very much like a cinnamon cookie with a hint of tobacco. This doesn't have any oud or rose, cinnamon, vanilla and tobacco.

What a masterfully blended and potent tobacco scent. Very different from all other tobacco perfumes that I have in my collection. I don't find it vanilla dominated at all, at least not on my skin. Performance is great, excellent value for money. Unisex leaning masculine.

OMG the dry down of this perfume is Very Heavenly!! Its very calming sweet candy vanilla with a little hint of tobacco and oud in the background. Performance is Incredible too, easily 12+ hours. Well done St dupont!

I like it! It opens up with a harsh tobacco note, it stays dominant for about 20/30 minutes then it fades away to a sweet vanilla note with a hint of Oud. Its nice but it doesn't take your breath away.

dont judge this perfume by 1st sniff after spraying , it will be different after 15mins and ALSO in the air this is very different than when you smell it in your wrist ! in the air its very nice.

A truly hidden gem. Masterpiece! If you like tobacco note, you are definitely gonna love this one. Performance is top notch, lasts for days and projects strongly.

This doesn't have cinnamon or oud, It starts with a heavy tobacco note and ends with a beautiful sweet vanilla.

It was a blind buy, very risky blind buy cause i hate too much oud, otherside i love vanilla and tobacco combo. Iam very suprised!! For 40 euros its very good unisex stuff, only for cold weather. Very strong projection and good longevity. Last for 10 hours. I think its similar to 24 Scent Oud Edition, but more wearable in nonarabic world. Only problem can be with unisex definiton.. For some men can be too much feminine, especially at the start. After 1 hour it turns to men frag IMO. So and so, very good and very sweet parfume with oriental touch. Btw awesome bottle, one of the best in my 40 pieces collection. One advice to end of my review.. DONT BLIND BUY, TRY FIRST Scent: 8/10 Performance: 9/10 Versatility: 6/10 (only cold weather) Value for money: 8/10

This is just your classic vanilla/tobacco combo. Sweet vanilla with soft woody tobacco, and a dash of spicy cinnamon on top. Soft, mildly-sweet, & softly-woody scent. Smells like a lot of the vanilla/tobacco combos out there. If I remember correctly, PdM's Herod being one. Robert Graham's Fortitude being another. Lovely scent, especially for its price. Winter wear, more masculine then feminine. Big "Like".

This is a high quality juice. Very worth the money. Creamy, sweet, spicy, lean more to feminine side in the opening until 2 - 3 hours. Then it begin to moves to sweet masculine tobacco scent. You'll find the real tobacco scent in the dry down after 8+ hours, it is beautiful. It's loud, it's complex, it's long lasting. Recommended for fragheads, not for beginner. Don't blind buy. It's an easy 8/10

Sweet tobacco. Quite good but not that Perfect (it's personal off course). Great option for colder season. After 20 min become pretty close (but not identical!) to Carven's La Havane (or vise verse as La Havane imo develops much more towards s.t.D PT) Descent staff !

Smells expensive, worth for money, and everlasting . I like the scent, unique, but a little heavy for woman like me who lives in tropics. It smells like Kretek (hand rolled cigarette). Perfect blend of tobacco and spices which I love.

Sorry for all the fans, but I don't like it, as I am not interested in vanilla dominating scents, and I don't get the tobacco note here, only a strong vanilla scent that I have seen before in many fragrances. A pass for me.

Quite nice, but heavy on the vanilla, and the tobacco disappears too quickly. The dry down is pretty much the same as many other vanilla heavy fragrances, so no buy from me.

In the air, they smell like vanilla ice cream.

This is very easy to like, yet something in it disturbs me and makes it unwearable for me. I can't pinpoint it, but it's the same vibe I get trying BDK Tabac Rose. I really really want to like it, and yet I will never fully enjoy it, because something about it bugs me and is just not my cup of tea. Drydown is too dry for my liking, I like my sweet tobacco fragrances to have a little bit of a kick to them, like Tobacolor, like 1 Million Prive, like Side Effect, etc. A pass for me, but I can see why it has positive attention. Has nothing to do with Mancera's Red Tobacco.

really sweet like sweet vanilla + sugar or candy sweet roses I get 0 tobacco and 0 oud (unless it very well blended) I get the same vibe from Mancera Vanille Roses unisex really leaning feminine update: 1hr later it's less sweet now I do get some tobacco but not much just enough to give the fragrance some depth so... nothing groundbreaking, an okay scent now it feels like Amber Malaki or Mancera Roses Vanille with a tobacco touch 2nd update: so 3hr later had tobacco for about 1 hour now it smooth vanilla scent ,no roses , no tobacco, no oud 5/10

As this one was hyped by some YouTubers, I am really lucky to buy a decant 1st. Well, this one was just vanilla and Mancera Red Tobacco mix in a forced marriage. A tiny bit of Red Tobacco vibe but not the same. Vanilla here was not that mesmerizing. If you are a fragrance collector, this one was just average. Go for Red Tobacco. If you afford it, go for Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille.

My second review. I tried to give it a chance but it just didn't pass the bar for me. It was a good perfume, I just appreciate fresh tobacco leaves or fresh cut dried pipe tobacco more. Not this 1. This one was more like fresh tobacco ashes laced with syntethic vanilla.

Bought it blind for a good price (was curious due to its tobacco note) but almost immediately sold it, this smell just like a Montale oud fragrance (Red Aoud). First and foremost I get nuclear power oud. Plus, heavy and annoyingly sweet vanilla. The scent is also quite linear in its development and it stays in this radiant mode throughout the longevity. Not my type of fragrance at all!

Purchased Perfect Tobacco by S.T. Dupont (3.7oz) about 2 yrs ago. After one spray, I put it away until now. Upon trying it again, I still did not like the first 5 minutes at all. Smelled like it had some type of Dr. Pepper fizz vibe mixed in with the other ingredients. However, a bit later the Dr. Pepper smell completely disappeared and instead began a long, tantalizing, lovely series of catch me if you can wafts of warm/comfy cinnamon and vanilla - for close to 12 hours. Ahhh tobacco. Very light on the tobacco scent. It definitely is a secondary scent. The atomizer is one of the most powerful I have ever experienced. I would position the bottle about 18 inches away before spraying. No, we are not talking a jet stream, lol. It is just voluminous. Also, I certainly would not recommend more than 5 sprays. The bottle is a bright, gold color and very solid/sturdy. I am going to put it into my rotation for the upcoming cold months. (FYI: I would say that Perfect Tobacco is the strongest, longest lasting, unfortunately, of the S.T. Dupont men's colognes/perfumes.)

If there was a series of articles on underrated gems, this would be one of the stellar features. A low key, high performing, excellent grade scent. An essential tobacco, vanilla mixture, it is neither too sweet, nor harsh, just the optimum type of mix, with the performance to boot. A regular staple for the winter and autumn seasons IMO. An eclectic mixture of cinnamon, tobacco & Vanilla, with a subdued oud note, which more or less stops it from spilling over into the realm of becoming a regular Middle Eastern type scent. All seasonal scent? Autumn and winter, but safe to use for evening wear in spring, I would say, Steer clear in the hot summers Unisex? Quite masculine Blind buy worthy? As Tobacco Vanilla scents go, yes, nothing remotely offending about this scent Performance? Longevity, 8 to 9 hours, with good projection and silage and stays on clothes till the next wash. My barometer however for judging longevity is always skin.

Really like this perfume, the tobacco is not super strong like ones you find in Mancera Red Tobacco. The tobacco and vanilla blends really well together creating a good balance. Great for night out, cold and windy days, definitely not a summer fragrance, but I'd still wear it anyway since its such a smooth tobacco and vanilla combo. I also consider this as my cozy home fragrance (my personal opinion), applying 1 spray every time I'm at home after showering from a long day. Got it for 50$ from my local discounter. Projectivity: 8/10 Longevity: last 12+ hours, beast mode in the first 4 hours, still performs really well after that but not beast mode. I can still smell it even after washing or showering. Scent: 8/10 Smells expensive.

This is a special hidden gem. I have tried it on tester strip first and was expecting that it wont last much but it kept the that projection heavy for over a week. It faded out to smell like smooth coffee and vanilla scent. I tried it later on my body and was happy to see that the projection, the scent profile, and the longevity has all been great. The quality is there and I am surprised none has brought up that fragrance in the community. Standard cigar leaf tobacco and vanilla. I sense no rose or cinnamon. I have no idea what synthetic oud smells like. This tobacco is not the flavored pipe tobacco variety. The vanilla keeps the tobacco from being too harsh on its own. The bottle presentation is quite classy and solid. The staying power in this is enormous. Some men may really like this scent if they are big tobacco leaf lovers. Its too harsh for me, and not a scent that will make me feel good wearing it. A flavored pipe tobacco scent would be more enjoyable to me, but they are hard to find in a reasonable price range.

One of the most satisfying blind buys. I must admit, this fragrance is sweeter than I expected and it felt almost like a gourmand, probably due to cinnamon & vanilla combination. The vanilla is a bit different here than in Vanilla & leather fragrance from the same line. Ginger note is very pronounced and brings a touch of freshness. Tobacco is very smooth and blends perfectly with oud in the base. Longevity is excellent, I could still smell it in the morning after a good 10 hours. Being a woman, safe to say the fragrance is perfectly unisex and ladies could easily pull it off too.

Perfect Tobacco is the perfect name for this compelling fragrance. It opens loud with a rose/tobacco accord. I once felt that the tobacco note gave a fragrance a rakish or naughty edge, but the rose/tobacco accord evokes a formal and elegant vibe instead. The rose dominates the opening, but the tobacco note makes the rose feel drier and more masculine. In the dry down the vanilla and cinnamon take over. The dry down is like a sweet and creamy dessert. Just delicious. Perfect Tobacco is more interesting and enjoyable and cheaper than niche perfumes that I have bought.

Well anyone who says that the oud is not detectable in Perfect Tobacco is the liar from the pits of hell. This is extremely strong on the oud. Then the vanilla. And finally the tobacco. I was under the impression this wasn’t very oud forward so I was excited about it. Sadly, as I’m not such a fan of the note, I will be passing this one on. It’s well blended and quite smooth and the oud isn’t the gross skanky kind so there is that. And the vanilla and tobacco are very nice. All and all it’s a great fragrance and definitely unisex. Just not for me.

it is a sweet spicy, very spicy fragrance. the main notes i get from this is the cinnamon. not really the smell of tobacco that i want but this is ok. even after washing my cloth the smell is still there ! very potent perfume.

Tobacco? What tobacco? This a sweet vanilla cinnamon bomb and not that masculine type either. It smells similar to Lancom Oud Bouquet. Creamy vanilla cinnamon. Way too feminine. Marvelous performance though

Worth the money , Just one note , the tobacco in here is almost turning into suede , so you you don't like suede probably this isn't the tobacco interpretation for you ... Have a great day 😊
