Vanilla & Leather

This perfume cannot be considered a sales success and much less to be known for it. However, it has a constant presence in different lists of the "best perfumes ever" in different media and it also has a special position in my preferences. Undoubtedly, it is a high quality perfume that may be considered "niche" or of "niche like quality". It is perhaps the best offer from S.T.Dupont's private line. I blind bought this flask right after it was released. By then I already had three other perfumes of this colection, and I was delighted with all of them. Vanilla & Leather was launched with a very attractive street price (€ 40) but that value increased continuously since its edition. Its current selling price is around € 60. That fact is also a good indication of the attraction that this perfume has generated among oriental perfume lovers. If only one note would define this fragrance, it would be vanilla. It is a very sweet perfume, but of moderate performance. Its presentation is exemplary and very attractive. The ingredients quality is well above average. The perfume reveals a strong accord of vanilla, but also shows a strong presence of tobacco and leather. Vanilla is responsible for its dominant sweetness. It is tempered by the caramelized heat of moist tobacco and the animalic scent of luxury leather (and not of cooper leather). The aroma oscillates between the extreme of the sweet chords and the moderation imposed by the earthy and animalic chords, and all very well tied up by a pleasant balsam oil. The remaining notes listed act in favor of this polarity also in which a bit of cinnamon, a spicy saffron and a faint floral sweetness is added to the dominant vanilla, while tobacco and leather become a little more bitter due to the action of mate tea. No woody notes whatsoever seem to participate in this potion. At the risk of "pleasing neither Greeks nor Trojans" due to its polarity, this fragrance proves to be extremely consensual due to the gentle way in which it awakens our olfactory sensors, and the excelence of the global blending. In what ladies are concerned this perfume proved me to be a natural and compulsive head turner, but always in a very educated and elegant way. This is one of the best "vanilla" fragrances for me, if not the best. I do recommend it.

Yo! Vanilla Ice by Oriflame reborn. If you've ever smelled this frag by Oriflame,there is no way you could ever forget it.It used to be tremendously strong - both in longevity and in sillage. Well,Vanilla & Leather S.T. Dupont,marketed both for women and men,smells exactly like it,only toned down. It opens strong with Vanilla-suede combo;I don't really get the pink pepper - I get more of a cherry note. It develops rather quickly;seems light,but it actually persists,especially if you overspray. It will linger on for more than 8 hours - which by modern day standarts is perfectly OK for an EDP. If you want to travel back in time or make a gift for a special woman - this is definitely a safe blind buy. Quite linear and unpretentious,worth getting at discount price. Nice bottle and box combo - a solid 10 for presentation. Bear in mind,that this is quite feminine.

I never into the St Dupont perfume line. but I'm crazy about this line. The golden bottle attracts me when I was testing other brands. It represents the vibe delivered from the very 1st spray. I love the simple and sexy blend this perfume brings whenever I use it. the vanilla is blended perfectly with the leather which somehow burst a slight of nice tobacco. this perfume last appx. 4hours in our body. I also tried to spray it in my linen for a warm sexy nite touch, and it last till early morning. I live in Jakarta-Indonesia, I tried to wear it during hot and rainy, the scent is best and lasts more during the rainy or AC temperature. my 3yo son even complimented as ice cream and hugs my husband often when he wears it. this perfume is unisex so USD80/IDR1,1 per bottle is a great price and made us suspend the Atkinsons Oud Save the King bottle buy plan.

I hace a shower gel based on vanilla by Yves rocher and it smells pretty identical to this perfume. I used to write reviews on fragrantica but i haven't since a good while, but i gotta tell that this is the most delicious vanilla based fragrance i've ever smelt, it's really a "hidden gem" i definitley agree with others reviewer. So, i went to the store i smelt this on a paper then i spray it on my neck i wasn't wearing any perfume) two times, then i start walking around in the store, magic start blowing my nose, vanilla/jasmine and very small amounts of leather in the backround, so i back to it and saw a couple trying to buy it but they didn't, and guess what? It was the last bottle behind the tester, so it took it 100ml 3.4 oz and im really happy having it in my collection beside ROYAL AMBER... a hidden gem

Bought a full bottle of this in a rush since it's getting rare in my country and the price starts going up. Gotta keep a bottle of this before this broke college student can't afford it anymore! This is mainly vanilla with whiffs of tobacco here and there. I only got the tiniest bit of leather but it's honestly fine for me. Sometimes the tobacco is much stronger when the weather goes warmer. Very cuddly and comfy just like a loving hug. This leans feminine, though. It really has a niche-like quality to it. Blends beautifully with good longevity and sillage. I won't say it's beast mode, but it's definitely there when you look for it. It's my current go-to, signature, and bedtime scent since I love it so much! A safe blindbuy if you love vanilla.

It is one of the most delicious vanilla I have felt. Creamy, sweet, mouthwatering, and realistic. Not candy sweet but something that makes your nose open and you Want to sniff more and more!!!!!! Light, airy still very dominant and Intense. The leather is a little bit on the gasoline side and does not melt into the vanilla as I imagined. I expected a kind of leather bag soft smell. But it is the first try, and I have been wearing it for an hour, só I will update if I have any other experience. Worth the price and definetely on the feminine side Edit.:Strangly it reminds me of the old Lacoste Pour Femme. The vanilla becomes stronger with time, and the gasoline desappears thank God! So it is a wonderful, beautiful composition!!!!

This is a good fragrance, well made and very strong performer. On my skin, it has around 10-12 hours, blasting smooth vanilla with leather and tobacco base support. When wearing this, I must say the scent forms a comfortable bubble of scent around me. It's not offensive, it's soothing and projecting around 4-6 feet (from 2 spray). It's a little sweet. This is a good, inoffensive, good vibe frag for the office, but easy on the spray (2-3 max depending on the situation). Warning, more than 4 spray will fill the room. Additional point, if you have Perfect Tobacco, you might prefer Perfect Tobacco instead.

Received this today...Happy...Happy !! This is a cross mixture (to my nose/senses) of Givenchy Pi Extreme/Yves Rocher Vanille Noir/Cabochard Gres sort of scent. Add just a touch of jasmine to the mix. I guess the mate note is in there..??...giving a very slight herbal touch. Sillage/longevity is moderate,but enough for me. Have not smelled Lutens Bois vanille, but maybe I will test that one out too. The scent kinda stays linear on me...but I am really liking it. Good quality scent too.

It starts out vanilla/leather 60/40, but the leather dies off within 2 hours. The vanilla is realistic and not overly sweet. I don't really pick up on jasmine and the tobacco. Overall, I really like the scent. It definitely falls into the unisex category and the performance is decent. It lasts 8 hours but becomes close at about hour 4.

А след това Perfect tobacco беще за мен наистина разочарование,за него пиша тук, защото го няма още във фрагрантика. Ще му дам още някой и друг шанс, но силно се съмнявам. I have a decanter of this fragrance and have full bottles of the other 3 released members of this Dupont perfume line. Vanilla & Leather is a fantastic fragrance with a huge longevity and above average sillage, very much in line with the other family members.

Wow wow wow. Very unique smells niche and you can get a bottle for around 60$. I would recommend everyone to have this in there collection. One of the more Gorgeous leather fragrances out there.

Много красив в гореща лятна нощ. Намирам доста сходство с Perfect tobacco. Но има нещо в Perfect tobacco, което ми идва в повече, а и не е тютюнът, който харесвам. Прилича на доста други.

Няма кожа, няма жасмин, няма мате в моята бутилка, само суха ванилия с тютюн. Тих, прибран до кожата, не излъчва надалече, но се усеща в аурата, леко монотонен, звучи като опушена ванилия, която малко ми прилича на Pink Sugar Aquolina в нейния dry down, но е значително по-фина от Pink Sugar. Също ми напомня на Vanille Noire du Mexique La Maison de la Vanille, но Мексиканската ванилия излъчва доста по-мощно. Vanilla & Leather S.T. Dupont не е сладка ванилия, не е задушлив и спокойно може да се носи в топло време, без да дотегне или да превземе пространството. Не си представям как би стоял този парфюм на мъж, но още днес ще проверя ;) Според мен парфюмът успешно може да се използва като ванилена подложка за друг аромат, на който липсва характер. Не съм пробвала още, но и това ще опитам, макар че не обичам да смесвам аромати. Чудех се от два часа дали да или не, но като цяло, всъщност, ми харесва.

Blind bought this perfume based on on-line reviews. I would say this is not what I expected, on my skin I can definitely feel the vanilla projecting over the leather and thus I am a bit disappointed with this. However, the perfume is nice and it’s not a sharp or pungent smell. It’s very light and breezy, though not exactly suitable to be used in the hot season. If you like vanilla (which I kind of don’t, but I am a huge S T Dupont fan), then it’s a safe blind buy! It also has a great projection and silage. :) Also, as some of the other reviewers wrote here, I am of the opinion that this perfume is pretty much feminine and no so suitable for men. Nevertheless, if you are a man and love sweet fragrances & are into vanilla scents, then go for it! :)

The notes mentioned on the bottle Top Notes: pink pepper, saffron, cinnamon bark Heart Notes: Jasmine absolute, Mate, Tobacco accord Base Notes: Balsam oil, vanilla bean, Leather The leather here is not the aggressive leather you find in TF Ombre Leather but rather a supple leather you find on expensive hand bags. The scent conjures the image of a young lady in a dress carrying an expensive hand bag on her arm. The scent is definitely unisex leaning feminine. Balsam oil, vanilla and leather play a key role here. This one lasts on skin for 16hours+ and still projects a few inches of your skin after that much time.

This is a beautiful dimensional vanilla. Not super sweet, not "girly", but a grown up vanilla. Not gourmand, rather enveloping, comforting, like a cashmere blanket. The vanilla is tamed into a deeper, richer scent with the tobacco and leather. Definitely a cold weather scent, I think both men and women can rock this. Great for layering, I layered with Mancera Black Vanilla for a more floral/fruity edge. The leather provided a beautiful solid backbone to the mix.

This is a chamelonic fragrance imho, based on my personal experience sometimes the vanilla is more prominent and sometimes leather and tobacco is the main player, maybe because of my body temperature fluctuation, i guess. But no matter what, it will keep projecting like no others bussines, sillage are superb. If you like gourmand-creamy vanilla fragrance type, this one is definitely must try!

I was afraid of purchasing it, because i thought it would be very heavy, very sharp as Royal Amber, but no - this is smooth, and more feminine. The most intensive note is vanilla, but with tobacco, not with leather.

بیشتر بویی شکلات مانند و وانیلی داره تا چرم مقداری هم تنباکو مشابه بقیه عطرای تنباکویی رایج چیز خاصی نیست یه عطر گرم و شیرین گرماند و تنباکویی که دل آدمو میزنه
