Juliette in White is fresh and sheer, but not as light and virginal as the epithalamic name implies. It's also a bit more austere than the high romance one might expect. It's tea-like, but earthy. Pepper and citrus dominate, ensconced in soft florals and woods. It has the quality of a natural landscape painted in watercolor, verdant but transparent. The downside, if there is one, is that it's very light and projection is minimal. I can imagine this being ideal for a slightly boho wedding. In fact, it would suit Romeo as well as Juliet, since it's a gender-neutral spicy floral.

No idea why others haven’t found this utterly lovely scent. It smells like a spring day - a walk in a sophisticated city and having brunch at a sidewalk cafe. Refined, uplifting, even brightly elegant. Initially, the citrus / tea / floral comes through and lifts up. The dry down has a light, blonde wood core but the soft floral jasmine remains. It’s one of my wife’s favorite scents and I couldn’t be happier it is.

Definitely expected more. Bursting with energy to start, but dries down to cloyingly sweet non-descript floral. Nothing to rave about.

I get a whiff of licorice when I wear it on my skin. Not sure where that's coming from.
