Creative Inspiration

I am not typically a big fan of iris-heavy fragrances and definitely not a fan of licorice. They come across as old or stuffy or stifling or stagnant to me for some reason. The more I experience of this house, the more I am falling in love. This one is different. It is delicate and dreamy and complex. It smells as if there is a light Violet note, though there is none listed here. (Yet another note I do not typically go for.) Somehow it does work for me in this one. It must be the Bergamot, pimento, rice and jasmine. What this house does SO WELL is blending all the notes together. Some perfumes take you on a stroll. These perfumes rather put you in a beautiful setting. You are standing, looking at everything at once. You may notice different aspects of the room, but it is an overall impression that hits you, not a series of discoveries like other fragrances create. I love this impressionistic scent approach to perfume so much more. It is much more artistic and unique. Well done.

It is a fragrance of refreshing Bergamut with Iris, and Sandalwood gives a special softness and exoticness to the scent. Powdery rice makes the perfume special. Good lasting, I can feel it all day!

Wow, brought this miracle from Paris. So, soft and calm fragrance opening up with different notes. Bergamot and Iris together like some warm walk full of hopes and dreams. Very gentle perfume!

This is beautiful and soft. Not overtly feminine though leaning. Nice to find a skin scent with some layers. Wish it projected a little longer but very enjoyable.

A soft-spoken iris tea moment—powdery, slightly spicy, and quietly elegant. It wears like a thoughtful whisper, not a shout. Beautiful, but I wish it lingered longer. Think skin scent for creative souls.

Feminine, pretty, musky-sweet, A powdered lady plucks the petals of lovely purple florals to flutter delicately into her tasse of tea.

If you like Guerlain Insolence, you will like this one. Light violet/iris. I think the rice powder and tea really makes it so subtle.

It is a great scent! But i wish all such violet-powdery scents projected more And lasted longer on skin

Testing this blind, I highly recommend testing it out as the opening and it's body shift noticably, almost to the point of two different fragrances. At first the Iris and jasmine, with musk are dominant for the first 20-30 minutes, eluding to a more feminine scent, but only suggesting so. After, the iris and powdery notes fade leaving an automatic spicy body with a musky background, which is far more unisex, highlighting pimento and licorice. If the fragrance paused here and projected more and the longevity was longer, I would definitely be a huge fan. But, that is not the case. The projection is moderate at its height in the first hour, then hangs as a skin scent for a few hours longer, leaving much to be desired for the price point. Creative, yes. Inspired, eh!

I had high hopes for the rice note here, so the immediate lack of it was a major letdown. Creative Inspiration leans heavily into its woody iris profile, offering a subtle performance that never quite projects. If you're looking for an intimate scent it might work, but for me, it misses the mark.

this is a lovely powdery iris fragrance with a kick of une je ne sais quoi for sure! the pimento is such an interesting note and the licorice is there but not overwhelming. a very unique, fun sniff!

absolutely loveeee this it’s complex and yet so feminine, soft and delicate. i’d say this is equal parts iris & jasmine, and there’s also a wonderful soft creaminess that’s probably the sandalwood & rice milk & musk. and the oolong tea is the thread tying both together, it adds to the mystery. Karine-dubreuil is a master perfumer for sure, I also have her Creative Inspiration and followed her all the way from her L’occitane days, and I’ll definitely be following her for years to come

Sandalwood creamy chilies. I cant detect any rice in here! Its more of a creamy milky wheat with sandalwood and hints of hot chilies. This is calming and bit on the oolong tea side but it's not dominant too, it's just cute and relaxing tho. It does have slight vanilla but hazy and no iris so far. Now this is quite weak and doesn't last more than 2 hours! But cant deny that it is amusing.

You put jasmine in it, it doesn't last very long, and I can't detect the tea...all that I could forgive, because the elements in it work together nicely...but Debbie... the name? Perfume in witness-protection.

Each time i apply it , i feel my testosterone goes low , a classic powderic scent
