Modern Nomad

This is an interesting take on the oud rose formula. The top is a fruity, jammy rose which has a slight bit of woody greenness from the tea notes. The rose stays dominant throughout the heart as a sweeter oud starts to come into the foreground. The drydown is a smooth rose-laced oud. On me, this scent evolves without any harsh edges or jarring changes. I have only had this manufacturer's sample a month and I've almost drained it. If the rest of the State of Mind catalog is like this, I'm going to have a great time with the discovery set and a sad time with my credit card bills.

If you like rose-oud concoctions you’ll appreciate this gem. It bursts onto the opening with a glorious rose explosion and then gracefully takes a dive into a pool of balsamic-patchouli-amber-vanilla-happiness. The projection and longevity are good as well (8hours+) Others from this house that have potential are Secret of success, Open mind and Sense of humour. All very unique and interesting compositions. Have a try and thank me later.🤙🏻

This is my favourite fragrance, totally recommend it! The scent is so versatile, it can never get boring. The perfume clearly gives you confidence as you're wearing a real quality product. The smoky notes of Grilled Hojicha Tea and Amber add mystery and the favourite ingredient of Karine Dubreuil - patchouli, so chic!!!

I am not typically a fan of rose scents, but I like this a lot. It has an air of mystery and an exotic flavor that i keep wanting to revisit. I keep sniffing my wrist. What an intoxicating rose!.... Okay. Now that Act 1 is over and I am in to Act 2, this is the Oud Rose smell that I am not into, that I find over and over again as in Rose D'Arabie by Armani. Damnit! Wish I could just bottle Act 1 only!!!!

Good aroma, unisex, subtle notes of tea, give the aroma a uniqueness. But the perfume is only for the evening, for the daytime too strong a scent. 7/10

A lot of leather,oud and rose. After it dries up a bit vanilla is more present. Interesting, good for winter. More of a men fragrance.

It's dry, savory, fresh yet dark, a very good rose-oud.

Testing this blind, the oud and rose was immediately present and I felt like I've smelled this before, but while others were more unique and, well... weird, the fragrance is far more approachable and warm. The oud doesn't overwhelm or does it remain overly rose. The tea elements, along with the other notes seems to flatten out the edges and leave it just enough of the big notes, without the smack in your face (so long as you don't overdo it). It essentially comes off as an automatic rose hinted oudy fragrance. Don't mind it, but not falling in love with it but I think others will. The longevity and projection are where this shines. While not cheap, it's performance was as good as those far above it's price point. A worthy consideration for an approachable and almost office friendly oudy rose fragrance.

تطعّم عطرك قبل شمه 😋 تقوم فلسفة هذه الدار على الجمع بين حاستي الذوق و الشم في آن واحد، فكما أن للعطور بعض الخواص في التأثير على نفسية و مزاج المرء كذلك يمكن للشاي إيقاظ الحواس الإبداعية و التحفيز على إكتشاف الذات، إعطاء الطاقة أو خلق أجواء من السكينة و الهدوء أصدرت الدار منذ إنطلاقها سنة 2017 عشرة عطور، كما أنها وضعت بين يدي زبائنها لكل واحد من هؤلاء العشرة كيس شاي بمذاق يحاكي بشكل كبير ما يقدمه العطر نفسه. و كذلك العطور تجد في كل واحد منها نونة الشاي التي وظفت بإحترافية عالية من مصممة مخضرمة، و هي السيدة Karine Dubreul Sereni و التي تنحدر من عاصمة العطور غراس، كما أنها تتلمذت في مدرسة العطور "Roure" أو ما يطلق عليها اليوم "Givaudan"؛ و قد كانت أيضا وراء مجموعة من الأعمال الإبداعية أشهرها Gucci Pour Homme II و Ombre Noire لدار Lalique و حتى يكتمل الفريق تم إستدعاء واحد من أفضل متذوقي الشاي في فرنسا، السيد Olivier Scala و هو رئيس اللجنة الفرنسية للشاي و الذي ينتسب إلى عائلة إستوردت هذا الأخير إلى فرنسا على مرّ خمسة أجيال حلم راود مؤسسة الدار منذ نعومة أظافرها، فقد تأثرت السيدة Catherine Laskine-Balandina بما كانت تقصه عليها جدتها من روايات عن رحلاتها إلى إمبراطوية الصين. الأمر الذي فتح عينيها على الثقافة الصينية التي أصبحت مصدر إلهام بالنسبة لها؛ فقد إشتملت هذه الروايات على أمور عدة كسور الصين العظيم، جدار السبعة تنانين، الخط، الوخز بالإبر، محلات الشاي، العطور، الألوان و كذلك مشهد لفتح زهرة اللوتس في كوب من الشاي و أما عطر Modern Nomad أو الرحالة المعاصرين، فقد حالفني الحظ لتجربته من خلال عينات توصلت بها منذ سنتين تقريبا؛ و مذ ذلك الحين و أنا راغب في إقتناءه إلى أن أذن الله عز وجل بذلك حقيقة لم أجد ما يعبر بدقة و وضوح عن نوتة الشاي في العطور، غير أنها تجعلها صالحة لكل زمان و مكان بما تضفيه من ملمس (مائي، عشبي، أروماتك) أو إسموكي لِيْذَرِي أيضا كما هو الحال بالنسبة لعطرنا هذا، و يختلف ذلك بإختلاف نوعية الشاي فهو يظهر بشكل جلي و ساطع في إفتتاحية هذا العطر التي تشرق بثلاثة أصناف من الشاي ، فلا يلبث كثيرا حتى تغمره بتلات ورد إتخذت طابعا دخانيا و إرتوت بعبير عود عصري و مزاج باتشوليٍ أنيق و راق. و كلما جلس صار أكثر حلاوة حتى ينتهي به الأمر إلى قاعدة فرشت بمزيج من العنبر، الجلد و البرقوق المطعّم بلمسة فانيلية فارهة الإنبعاث

Simply gorgeous elegant Oud done well.Oud and rose sure, but with a delicious leathery base. Tea plum vanilla keep this fragrance gorgeously elegant and not overly done like most " beast mode" oud that are impossible for a woman to be around. THIS IS IT. Any man that smells like this has strong energy, character but with extreme sophistication and airyness. Lasts forever and its a wonderful wonderful fragrance also for non oud lovers. Its a juicy oud elegantly wrapping you like a veil. LOVE

Hello scentmosnster. I also get the Portrait of a lady, Frederick Malle-vibe. Oud not always get nice on my skin, here its not bad but the Oud has a strange sweetsour aura on my skin and it failures the scent in my nose. On paper - wow. Longlived, good projection and 1 spray goes a long way, or else it will be thick and overwhelming.

Wearable Oud smokyness and Plummy woody like Serge Luten's famous works.

It is very rosy and oudy. Patchouli is not a big player here.
