Spontaneous Generosity

I was blessed with a 2ml sample of this fragrance from a fragrance-friend. (Sprayed on my wrists and inner elbows before going out to dinner...) This smells exactly like a wine I fermented/brewed at home back in the old days tasted....wow! I made it with freshly diced Lychee, sliced and crushed Peaches, Black Tea leaves and tons of sugar to speed the process along. The result was a toothachingly sweet fruit-tea flavored wine that would knock your socks off at about 30ml. Great stuff and everyone loved it...but that was a lifetime ago. This fragrance reminds me so much of that time and that home-wine...that I couldn't wear it regularly, in spite of the fact that I do so love the scent tone of this fragrance. I can smell the rose under all the beautiful sweet booziness. The figgyness comes out in the mid and gives the fragrance a softer powdery feel and yet the sweetness stays! This is awesome so far, I can't wait to see how its received when we reach our destination...

WOW. What a lovely first impression, i am insanely impressed. the very subtle rose inbeded with the most wonderful tonka, resin and caramel. its not sharp its so soft and gourmand. im emediatly buying a full bottle of this. I was freezing writing this but this perfume creates a depth of warmth inside me that cannot be replicated, i feel warm and happy. like a false window into a home celebrating christmas, i feel like im there even though im stuck out in the snow. what a magical feeling.

Photorealistic rendition of inhaling the scent from a bag of expensive dessert tea - i certainly get: Black tea, fudge caramel, tonka, dried cherries and fig. This is mingling with the balsamic base and something fresher - that I can't quite put my finger on. But it lifts the composition from getting too heavy and sweet. I adore Spontaneous Generosity. I've grown quite fond of it, addicted even. I'll be needing a whole bottle.

Upon first spray, my first reaction literally was WOW. The quality is definitely there. It's definitely a grown up, unisex caramel scent. It gives me something that I would consider 'mossy' too. Very cozy and it stands out. Beautiful for fall and winter.

The feeling of drinking warm tea with a favourite caramel dessert. This is a truly sweet, elegant fragrance for a beautiful cocktail night. Price is okay because of the highest quality products from authentic french professionals

I like that this cherry is balsamic, I did not want this to be an overly sweet gourmand. Could do with less tonka bean, though. More resins or balsam and less sweetness and it would be perfection for me. But as it is also very nice, I am glad I got a travel size. Interestingly, the fig note does not bother me here at all, and I normally really dislike it. Very well done, very well blended, lasts long and develops over time nicely to give you the full experience.

I have to disagree with some of the reviews posted. I am getting a gorgeous cherry caramel with a very smooth Peruvian Balsam that is very well blended, and not overly sweet. I have a lot of tea perfumes, and to me this has very little tea or fig. Definitely a full bottle worthy fragrance and so far my favorite of this line. If you like Kayali Lovefest you will probably like this one too.

A warm and cosy perfume, although there is a slightly strange powderiness running through it. Almost like pulling warm, steaming laundry straight out of the dryer. It is a genuinely beautiful blend of all the notes. There is something warm, sweet and a little stuffy about it: (dried) tea, marzipan, almonds, cherries and a touch of palo santo. Lovely, but it takes a moment to get used to.

Loved it as a scent, not sure if as parfume. Dense caramel, cherry top, with coumarine background and tea facets. It's how BonBon should smell. Very cheerful, playful and gourmand. Tea note prevents it from being annoying in the long run, or irritatingly sweet, but it is still caramel, chewy, full force gourmand. So far, my fav out of the State of Mind I tried.

Cherry almond lotion. I found it nauseating when I wore it in hot weather. In cooler weather, a well-made, high quality cherry almond lotion scent. Can lean plasticky or doll-head. This scent doesn't evolve much past the cherry almond lotion, so if you love this type of scent and save it for cooler weather, this is an excellent example.

Caramel is definitely the dominant note in this fragrance. The cherry is more in the background. The dry down is a little less sweet and much better than the opening. This is not unisex at all imo. Smell like a typically feminine fragrance. It reminds me a bit of Viktor & Rolf - Bonbon.

Very in keeping with what was popular autumn through winter. Lovely Tonka and a little nuanced twist on sweet woody scents. Hard to dislike I think. If you are seeking a gourmand away from the usual basics this is a lovely fragrance that not everyone will be wearing.

Very sweet cherry and vanilla without tobacco but tea, the tea is very realistic. If it was less sweet it would be a 10/10, but it's overly sweet and very cloying. 7/10

I feel black tea, caramel and tonka bean. Quite sweet and a nice fragrance if you can afford 280€ ... It seems it is more of Escada type of fragrances.

This is beautifully crafted and I'm glad I got the chance to smell it, but it's not for me. I'm getting kind of a black tea, caramel, fig combo which just isn't really my thing.

Testing this blind, I got a slightly sweet powdery feel. Soft, leaning feminine, and with a hint of flowers. But from application to the end of the day it never really caught my attention. It leans cotton candy at times, other times more makeup powder, and looking at the notes now this makes sense shifting between the caramel, tonka bean, and rose. Other notes like the tea do not seem present. Overall, while lacking in character, it is pretty safe. You're not going to offend anyone, but also run the risk of others not finding your fragrance all that enduring.

Interesting gourmand fragrance. Just like an after delicious steak dinner dessert of vanilla bean ice cream smothered with caramel complimented with a rich dark tobacco-ey black tea. light sillage and longevity, about 3 to 4 hours. Top tier price range so REALLY must love!

I expected a cherry forward gourmand or maybe caramel. It smells like a herbally caramel. Very unique not gourmand. So different in not sure what to think hut i think i like it, maybe?

Sweet caramel. I've always seen these bottles in the perfume shops that I always go to but never have the urge to test them until today! The seller sprayed some on a plotter and I got quite impressed with the quality and the creations! So dont let the weird bottles deceive you! Now this is very soapy sweet caramel with doses of tonka. Cherries isn't the dominant at all, it is the caramel, tonka, and hints of salt. The digs is quite obvious and mostly clear with a balsamic tea-ish notes. This blend is quite amusing although I dont like figs. Sweet but not cloying. Very interesting.

This is an absolutely beautiful honey, floral, Caramel fragrance that is just intoxicating to me! It's leaning more feminine I'll just put that out there right away. A confident man can pull this off but I personally think fragrance has no gender. My only gripe is the price $280 is steep for a Tea based floral but the quality is high and it lasts at least 6 hours. Get samples of the line if you can there are a few retailers in the USA selling State of Mind fragrances

اولین عطر چای‌محوریه که تست می‌کنم و خیلی خوشحالم که تونستم چای رو توی پس‌زمینه تشخیص بدم. این عطر اول خیلی شیرینه و بوی کارامل میده ولی بعد از چند دقیقه بوی یه دمنوش(چای) آلبالویی ملس و خوشمزه رو به خودش می‌گیره. بعد دوباره بوی آلبالو هم توی پس زمینه حل میشه و کمرنگ تر میشه و با باقی نوت ها که دیگه سوادم نمیکشه چیه حل میشه. بوی چای کاملا توی پس زمینه‌ست ولی راحت حس می‌شه و واقعا عطر لطیفیه در کل. ماندگاری فوق‌العاده بالایی روی لباس داره.

Bought it blindly, and absolutely zero regret! On my skin it smells really sweet almost like a candy in the opening, then it turns into a sweet cherry with tea scent. Doesn’t smell cloying at all even though it is a sweet scent. Very calming.. Lovely!

This fragrance was matched to my personality in Underground Parfumery in Vienna and I simply fell in love. The scent is very mature, develops beautifuly over time and just radiates strong/dark energy. Stands out of the rest for sure.

I like the quality of the line - the ingredients - however, projection is really weak, performance is poor The scent resembles of some bakery, it's just straightforward sweet, not my cup of tea, unfortunately
