I am ruling these Texas Summer nights with DoA. If you don't mind to see Susie the floozy and Sharlet the harlot get into fighting over your 10mm johnson, then come to the hen house suited up with this on. The rye, hay, and amber takes my olfactory to a warm baked good made of rice flour? Super dry, but nothing terribly dark or dirty. Castoreum is just loud☝️Remember, it's used as a vanilla substitute. I wish I got more of that mineral-like concrete sensation from gunpowder, but the tobacco is sweet and there is that double distilled sharpness from the whiskey. Tumbleweed is one of those accords I'd love to smell pure to establish a reference. I'm entertained by the creativity as this is Chris Maurice's DNA for Don from Xerjoff given a fougère soul. -And I'm not above layering with citrus or aquatics to dominate the midday pool party.

Dead or Alive is a true depiction of the Wild West in a fragrance. It's not a lazy or subtle nod, but rather a well thought out depiction of the types of notes that would actually be experienced had you been there. I think this is a truly fantastic fragrance with an incredibly artistic edge. This is real olfactive storytelling.

Fragrance Journal Entry #160 Wow what a polarizing scent! You can smell this as the atomizer is releasing the juice, incredibly potent stuff! So on first sniff your immediate instinct is to pull your nose away in disgust, all the notes you see are what you get, super dry, dusty, hay, tobacco, and whisky notes. It comes accross sharp and piercing, but i have to say this fragrance is exactly what you picture if you've ever watched old westerns or even played RDR2, this fragrance feels so period correct it's actually insane. This is a work of art and a masterpiece in it's own right but quite frankly it's impossible to wear as a perfume. It's like a toy that you collected in the box to sit on the shelf and never opened to play with, it has it's place for certain collectors but it's not for me. Rating: 7.5/10 Blind Buy Safe? NO
