Pop Bluebell

I blind-bought this because I like the original Stella and the notes in this one intrigued me. Also, I'm not gonna lie, I loved the purple-hued ad and felt in need of a bit of escapism after 2021 didn't start with the change we all hoped it would. It smells quite different from everything I own and if I were to write down what it smells like to me, I would NEVER buy this perfume based on that description. :D It is - as many reviewers mentioned - quite plastic-y and sweet, but not fruity or gourmet sweet, more like synthetic sugar syrup kind of sweet. When people mentioned that it smells like the 2000s, I had no idea what they meant, but now when I put it on, it makes total sense. It has a very youthful, lipgloss and glitter vibe to it. However, there is a fresh, clean, gentle floral note that balances out the sweetness and keeps it from becoming a plastic doll head type of scent. Once it settles on me, it kind of smells like play-dough, soap, spring flowers and fresh blueberries all at once. And somehow it works. Couple of things to note though. Skin chemistry is everything. :D I think if your skin agrees more with warm scents, this might not work for you. "Cold" scents, white florals and green notes generally sit better on my skin and this develops beautifully. However, my sister tried this after falling in love with it from the bottle (and from smelling it on me) and after a while it turned quite sour on her. I think it's also because she smokes and this definitely does not agree with smoking. For reference, Armani Si unfolds on her skin like a dream (even when she smokes half a pack :D ) and on me, the most compliments I ever get is when I wear Issey Miyake l'Eau d'Issey. Longevity and sillage are moderate, it's still pretty okay compared to the disgrace of Stella 2014. Now you can buy this edp quite cheaply, so I don't mind reapplying it. But because it's not a convenient bottle to carry around, I can only really do that if I'm at home, which is a pity. And now we come to my one huge gripe with this product: the bottle is super pretty but the spray is a real a pain in the ass. I don't even understand how this cap was approved to begin with, this design is so obviously flawed... With all that aside, I think it's a very pretty escapist scent that actually does fit perfectly with the marketing campaign. So if you want that lilac POP feeling when you're stuck at home, give this a try!

I loved Stella back in 05, so thought I’d try this considering the line is obsolete. Picked it up for £12.99 for 50ml. Not a big projection, not long lasting on my particular skin, but a beautiful floral. I am not fantastic with picking out notes but it is easy to smell the bellflower in this as it is quite unusual and nothing I’ve really found in a perfume before. It reminds me of an English soap in a floral paper packet that you’d find in one of our uphill shops in Lincoln or an independent shop in York (those who have visited will know what i mean by this). It has a musky vibe to it and it isn’t too sweet or sickly, it’s just lovely. If you like KKW Fleur Fatale, Stella, or even W by Ted Baker, I can’t see you not enjoying this. So glad I got it for spring.

A floral freshie, green and purple smelling. Sandalwood is mild; its not another Santal 33 (no offense intended, it's just a profile that's been done to death) I love this and should reach for it more often. I think it would be office friendly. I don't like a lot of fresh scents (can be too musky or woody) but this is my style. A little herbal and sweetly floral.

I love this perfume! its a little deeper than the orginal pop but they smell little simelar, but the lasting power and sillage is better with this one. Love it!

So, one day, in November 2020 I came to my local beauty store for a bottle of a classic - Lanvin Eclat d'arpege. They didn't have it at the time but I was determined to buy something. A sales lady was very sweet and gave a few suggestions, one of them being Pop Bluebell. It was a love at first sniff, usually it takes me a while to get a new fragrance I come to test it a 3 or more times before I purchase. Anyways I grabbed a 100ml bottle right away. Two days later I came and got another one 100ml because they were on sale and I liked it a lot and thought it was a good idea to stock up. It's a watery green floral for me, it's mood is refreshing and cool but not men's cologne cool and also somehow powdery? It reminds me of hyacinth flowers smell, which I love. It has a slight green bitterness to it. Lasting and silage are nonexistent, I can bath it this and it will still be very modest, which is good for some occasions. I do get an occasional whiff from my scarf when I put it back on during the day, and maybe even the next one. When I bought it I was buying what I really liked but lately I've been into something more intense and serious This is very light and girly, yet it's sophisticated, because it has no fruits or overbearing sweetness that youth perfumes can have. I do suggest it to any age group, if you like lighter fresher scents or trying to get a break from the heavies it might be just what you need.

humid summer test on card and skin I like the opening and middle notes the best, the end is nice but, nice. this sweetens softly on the dry down I would say its a bluebell, with gentle white floral, this I have to see if it goes bitter, I thought I caught a faint whiff of bitter but whatever was beginning stopped luckily. the accords look about right, I don't get spice per se, I don't always register fresh spice, but that's ok. I could detect a citrus flower in there. this is very well blended, its got a lotus backdrop - the effect lotus has on me - not necessarily real lotus/watery note. its a bit like the aquaticness vera wang princess has if you know what I mean. light, fresh, soft, rounded, soap, powder - not dusty powder, clean. EDIT after a couple more hours, this has a nice rubber eraser note, (a bit like walking into a Smiggle stationary store - yum) I prefer this to the pink pop version. pink must have a bit more white floral or jasmine in it as a soft bitterness emerges which is fine but doesn't suit me, this has less which suits my skin. clean, soft, eraser, soap, fresh, rounded, bluebell or violet like smell - purple gentle smell.

Honestly, I don't know how bluebells smell. They are neither common in my area, nor a popular perfume note. So I can't say if the bluebell note is realistic. I can say this is not as watery and lotv-esque as Jo Malone Bluebell though. While it's unmistakenly a sweet and warm floral scent, it's not comparable to the usual perfume flowers (white florals, rose, violet and so on). For some reason I also smell peach in this fragrance, like in ice tea or syrup. Later in the drydown there is a hint of the clean tuberose + frangipani of the original Pop. Pop Bluebell shows that an unusual note doesn't make an exciting scent. The marketing/ad shows a young and maybe rebellious image, but this is a tame and nice scent, like something a sweet grandma would gift her granddaughter.

A light and airy floral, sharper than the original ‘Pop’. I’m not sure what bluebells smell like but I’m reminded of hyacinth. Fortunately not as heady and oppressive! There is warmth from the woods and I’m not reminded of any other fragrances so well done for doing something different! There’s a hint of tuberose and lots of green. Moderate sillage and longevity; now available heavily discounted so perhaps this has been discontinued? Packaging made from recycled/sustainable sources and the bottle is beautiful! This fragrance is suitable for vegans (contains no animal products or their derivatives) and is cruelty free (well done Stella for avoiding unnecessary testing by choosing not to sell any of her fragrances in China). Well done Stella!

I'm currently obsessed with this fragrance. I bought this and the fragrance Pop. I like this one a little bit more, but they're both really nice. With Pop Bluebell, I smell violets and woods with some type of fruity accents. It's young and modern but still sophisticated. This lasts longer than Pop and smells a little stronger. It's still very soft and is totally office appropriate. I can't imagine anyone being offended by this perfume. The packaging is super cute with it's bright purple top and heavy chunky glass bottle, but I hate the spray head. It's very hard to work with. A 1.0 ounce bottle of this costs $50.00 dollars, but there are deals to be found online. If you want something that is feminine without being syrupy, give this a try.

I can see how this might pull sweet and a bit girly on some people, but unfortunately with my skin chemistry it leans just a little too mature for my tastes. The florals are beautiful (and it's hard to find fragrances with bluebell in them, so I definitely appreciate it for that--it's actually the whole reason I blind bought it) but at the end of the day, even though I like it, it's just a bit too mature/classy on me to feel like myself. I know I won't get enough use to justify keeping it. Longevity is good! Definitely recommend for floral lovers. Oh, and as others have said, the bottle/sprayer is pretty bad unfortunately. Mine got so stuck the first time I tried it, I thought it was broken for good lol

A very pretty, green floral, with a slight sourness to begin with. I wanted the tomato leaf to be a major player but I can’t really identify it, however there is an undertone of dark vegetal leafiness if you really, really look for it. Feminine without being too sweet or too girly or too mature - classy and fun and safe. The performance is not great, but that might work for the scent - people around you are not going to be offended by your smell. And it’s inexpensive, with a cute bottle, so a little top up is fine. The sprayer is really poor though, it comes out in a stream instead of a mist, and it doesn’t spray far so you have to hold it close. The ‘button’ also tends to stick or not go fully down.

I like this perfume, don’t get me wrong. But this one is definitely for someone who doesn’t want to be the center of attention. It’s a very humble scent, not unlike the bluebell flower. It sits close to the skin and even if you spray it on your hair and clothes it remains faint. Nevertheless, it’s incredibly pretty and youthful. The opening is more green, reminiscent of leaves or fresh cut grass (perhaps that’s the tomato leaf in this) but the dry down is a syrupy sweet floral. Like Play-Doh but in a good way. If you’re a shy person who enjoys the smell of a pretty bouquet, enjoys walks through gardens and enjoys picnics in the park as opposed to a night out at the club, this may be more your style.

Etheric and super pretty! Fairies by a creek in an enchanted forest kind of scent. The notes that I get most clearly are tomato leaf, violet leaf and tuberose. I adore the pink Pop, and this one is closely behind it. To me, Pop Bluebell is like Pop, but with clouds very lightly having covered the early summer sky. Just a little bit colder and more thoughtful. Short-lived though, after 2 hours it is gone on skin, so spray on clothes.

I don't know what the bellflower smells like, but this light and floral scent is very fine in my opinion. I guess I can almost smell the violet leaf note in it, which I like in perfumes. It's a basic scent, suitable for everyday things, but quite likeable. I even like the purple top better. This year's release is definitely better than the last year's.

The most luxurious body cream I've ever smelled. Really comfortable to wear, pretty, clean but where the hell are these numerous notes?! Creamy violet, frangipani with moderate santhalwoods. The grand total is a nice - I mean really nice - body cream. Perfect clean, go to sleep scent.

Beautiful floral scent. It's soft, and modern at the same time. I definitely smell the violets and cedar/sandalwood at the first spritz. Pretty good performance for a vegan perfume! Longevity is pretty good for its price

This is giving me early 2000s vibes..... maybe reminding me of ultraviolet for women? It’s too floral for me. Not as sweet as Stella pop original and although it may have a similar vibe, it smells quite different to me. In a weird way I think the original smells more like bluebells than this one! I think the bluebell note here just makes the Violet more pungent and a bit dryer! If stella pop is too sweet for you and you like sweet but quite intense and slightly sharp floral perfumes, then this one might be perfect for you. Beware, when it first hit my skin it had a bit of a urine smell (some old fashioned floral scents seem to have that odd.... Errrrr tang, shall we say? But it doesn’t last. It settles down into the true violet scent. It’s pretty strong in my opinion and lasts quite well.

I’m so glad i never blind bought this since i absolutely adore the original pop This is exactly what people said it was. Its green and less sweet than the original it still has that plastic sweetness smell but much less but also i find it very fizzy in the opening its probably the bluebell? i don’t enjoy it it kind pf smells like when you chug down soda and get that fizzy feeling in your nose. Not that it smells like soda but i react like that every time i spray it and it turns me off after a couple of hours it just feels like I’m wearing the original pop. anyway i wouldn’t recommend it

I didn't get bluebell from this, but instead it was more of a generic, grape, powdery floral. Not bad, but not especially unique either. Much better after it dries down, it softens to a powdery violet scent. Longevity - never great on my dry skin - was almost unnoticeable after an hour or two. I didn't pick up on the tomato leaf at all, just overwhelming fruit.

This and Pop with the pink sprayer are identical with the exception of this having a bluebell note. They’re the same fragrance. Personally, I prefer the original because it’s less screechy for whatever reason and it’s pink. The bluebell doesn’t elevate it in any way.

I've got a sample and I'm glad I didn't pay for it. Obviously I didn't meet with this scent. On my skin smells cheap and superficially. Violets are syntetic and shrill. Nonetheless, white flowers are well-settled in frangipani-musk base. Sandalwood doesn't overcharge it. I can imagine, this fragrance could be pleasant and sympatic. It encourages simple joy, airy feminine charm. It is gentle and polite.

Didn't work out. Bought for $20, smelled like $5. Admittedly, I'm not a blue bell expert and don't remember what Jo Malone's or Penhaligon's smell like. But this one smelled to me a bit sweet, a bit synthetic, I couldn't make out individual notes much. It smelled like some perfume of unknown brand I'd get when I was 14.

It's a crowd-pleasing, inoffensive and elegant fragrance. This can easily be any floral fragrance lovers signature scent and it's suitable for year round wear. If you experience migraines, trying a sample before purchasing a full size will be better as floral notes can sometimes trigger headaches. Otherwise, it's a safe blind-buy for those who enjoy a green floral perfume.

The scent is fine. It will do well for the office when it's hot outside. I like it and can't muster up anything better to say about it other than fine. I really only got it because I was buying something else and there was a huge discount over a certain price and this was already on a huge sale and blah blah. But I wanna discourage anyone from buying this because of the design of the sprayer. It's absolutely horrible. I can barely press it and then it sprays a weak, short, pissy stream. It leaks a lot from the sides too. I don't know how they continue production with this design since I'm not the first one to talk about it. Using it is such an unenjoyable experience and it's just not worth it.

Bluebells are a protected species [and a personal favorite] and I purchased this creation on a blind buy strictly due to this fact. The tomato leaf gives the fragrance it's initial fresh garden blast followed by strong rather girly flowery notes all enveloped in a light woody/musky base. Simplistic, easy going and outdoorsy, I think this would translate well in a body creme. I like this one for it's lively and realistic field flower appeal. I prefer this over the popular Balenciaga Florabotanica. Inexpensive and lasts well on the skin.

Such a cute fun sweet little thing! There’s something reminiscent of childhood—maybe a friend’s mom’s perfume from the 90s. To me, it is a sugary little pop with enough wood behind it for a little depth and to keep it from being sickening. I don’t smell obvious flowers—just some in her background after about 15 minutes. Nothing like the violets in balenciaga Paris at all. If you find a great deal snag it. Such a fun girlie spray when you need a break from sumptuous florals and ultra complex, spicy orientals.

I am most comfortable with orientals, spicy colognes, florientals, ambers and perfumes with red/brown/orange scents...However, this is very blue/purple and I find it wonderful. Clear and fresh like river water on the moor. Dew drops on bluebells. How lovely. I really like it. I keep wearing it. I'm going to hide it from myself so that I can have it again afresh next spring. I don't find it boring, for me it has and brings clarity.

got this package in the mail today and this is so pretty and easy to wear. I am liking this. I hate sprayer on bottle mine gets stuck 😖! Besides that the longevity is great and the sillage is so pretty and leaves a trail. Is it a “stop the presses “ fragrance no, but it’s nice. great for this time of year, not sure how it will work in high heat there is a bit of spiciness in the drydown. 6/10

This is a nice light floral scent that lasts. I like it. Bluebell is rare and a favorite of mine. I like the technology used to extract the essence of the English Bluebell for this perfume. Since they could not pick any. Nice ethereal floral. Biomimicry/Headspace technology.

I was excited to get this perfume after reading about how they captured the actual bluebell scent, but it turned out a disappointment. I get no bluebell at all, just an overly sweet violet leading to a vanilla-ish drydown.

Cold, sophisticated, refined. Not my cup of tea, but it has its own mystique.

Very safe white floral. Somewhat sweet. Pleasant and office friendly.
