Eve

This perfume was an instant love for me. It smells very similar to La Danza, but with the added depth of Casablanca. As the notes evolve, it turns into this beautiful musky, caramel dream. I can't stop sniffing my arm. It's different enough from La Danza in the dry down, to justify owning both.

I ordered a sample when browsing this house from Jovoy several months ago. However, the sample pretty much leaked out when it arrived, but my whole parcel smells delicious! I have to say, I enjoy this much more than the famous La Danza delle Libellule. Eve opens quite sharp due to the strong presence of bergamot, but it still shares a lot of similarities to LDDL. To me, the opening of LDDL is more shampooy and rounded. What differeniates the two are the dry downs. Eve is warm, vanilic and caramelized. I almost thought there is brown sugar in the base, but it's not sticky or overly sweet. It does remind me of Pink Sugar a bit. To be honest, I've never been a fan of LDDL, simply because it lacks depth to me. It definitely leans fresher and juicier side, while Eve is more like baked goods just after taking out from the oven, sweet and warm, almost cookie like :)

Soft and delicious, like warm caramel melting over vanilla and ripe fruit. The opening is bright and juicy with peach and strawberry, then it settles into a cozy, creamy base. It feels playful yet elegant, sweet but never heavy. The kind of scent that makes you smile without even realizing it.
