Montaigne

Full bottle worthy... and thus purchased. I don't usually like flower bombs but Montaigne is more like an actual fire detonated bomb of rose infused white musk that has left a warm dry sandalwood cloud trapped inside a greenhouse filled with ylang ylang, dusty violet and heliotrope. Imagine this actual combination of scents and aromas once you enter the still smoldering husk of the greenhouse just as the far part of its roof collapses and a fresh rush of wild veviter and black currant breezes in all around you. And, then in walks the most doe eyed beauty, who also happens to be the owner of what was once a greenhouse, she's just come over from her garden near the main house where she was gathering fresh patchouli leaves... you fall instantly and hopelessly in love, decide to leave behind your 12 year career as a fireman and runaway with her to Tahiti. Imagine all of this, and as she is laying there beside you two mornings later on a beach in Tahiti, you pinch yourself, giddy at the thought of having left your abusive wife of 10 years for this- for her... and you inhale deeply, wishing at that very moment that you could bottle the smell of this beautiful woman who thankfully, mercifully fell in love with you! This reminds me of Lolita Lempicka, minus the licorice, and infused with ylang-ylang. Definitely has a tropical vibe and outstanding performance.

It’s a nice feminine floral perfume but as with all Stephane perfumes, they’re weak and don’t last . I won’t repurchase
