Goldie

It smells JUST LIKE Santal 33! Im doing a side by side rn along with Goldie, and it is just a very slight touch more floral, but the florals are truly just about negligible. In the air it smells just ike Santal 33. Im really surprised no one else had mentioned that here? Longevity is good -asting 6 to 7 hors on skin with moderate projection. Also, just Like Santal 33, Goldie is 100 percent "unisex". Also, although the bottle is a heart shape, it does NOT feel cheap in the hand. I got the 1oz for a steal ($14) and was surprised at the thickness of the glass and how solid it feels in the hand. Unless you already own Santal 33, or ya own a good dupe, I highly recommend Steve Madden's Goldie 100 percent!

After reading other reviews I had to check that I was reviewing the right perfume. On me, this is very spring floral - heady violet, can also detect marigold and sandalwood. Not getting much in the way of woody notes. Very happy and euphoric. Kind of shocked at how good it is; even more so as this was a blind purchase, because my local store was selling bottles off at a ridiculous price - so I went back and bought another before they all disappeared.

As a fragrance connoisseur I had low expectations for this. But it actually slaps. It’s unisex leaning feminine and instantly reminded me of higher quality version of a random “amber” scent from M&S that I love but until now had no decent alternative for. It’s soft spicey musky floral with amber touches. Nice. Unique, try it!

This should have been marketed as a unisex scent, both men & women can wear this perfume. It's not a girly girl scent so don't expect anything sweet or overly floral. For me, it's right up my street & the bottle is beautiful! I also agree with its comparison to One by Jennifer Lopez, both scents are very similar.

Extremely woody scent that I was not expecting from the sweetheart gold marketing. It's rich and not sweet at all, very pleasant, except that it's like the same as Book- from Commodity that's already on my shelf.

I love this perfume! I wish it lasted longer; I'm searching for a perfume with the same notes that may last longer. I will always have a bottle of this in my collection.

Without having santal 33 to compare side by side, I would say there is a little difference. This does have a subtle feminine element that Santal 33 doesn’t- I think. A subtle floral element and maybe a softness about it. But it’s a VERY minor difference, if any. Still smells like a room smell, not a person smell. If your only problem with santal 33 is the price, this is perfect for you. If you love santal but want a more feminine/pretty, version, or a version with more complexity/not just base notes - then this will be disappointing. That’s all I have to say specifically about Goldie. If you’re interested in alternatives: I’ve tried soo many woody scents, looking for a holy grail maybe. The biggest problem is that they all have terrible projection. I have and love Jennifer Lopez One but even with a heavy hand, I feel like I need to reapply every hour. This one has a lot of cedar so it’s very different from Goldie. The best more feminine version of santal 33 is van cleef & arpels santal blanc. The best feminine woody scent I’ve found is Veronique Gabai Délices des Bois but it’s really expensive. The closest I might get to my holy grail is Noyz Sh**ty Day which is very similar to Delices but more affordable. If you want something more strictly woody, no extras like coconut, but more person scent than room scent, and feminine- try Sol de Janiero Danca Mistica. I can’t really pick out any of the supporting notes but together they do make it so much prettier than santal 33 & all of its spin-offs. And if all sandalwood scents are going to have bad projection and longevity then maybe it makes the most sense to just cover yourself in something that’s dirt cheap.

I think it reminds me of Hermes Voyage Parfum but in a baby kind of way. I found the scent similar to a very fresh green tea. It's pleasant, at least I like fresh and citrusy perfumes. It's not invasive, not too strong and the projection isn't that great, but the packaging is charming. I bought the all-gold heart and the 30ml one that has one part gold and the other transparent because I liked the packaging so much.

Love this gorgeous sandalwood perfume! I'm learning that I love the combo of sandalwood and marigold. It's in Adam Levine and Gingham Glow and I love both of those, too. Goldie is a perfect name; aside from being Steve's daughter, this lovely liquid is like warm hug at golden hour. The bottle is cute, too! (Mine is the smaller 50ml bottle with gold lid, it's nicer in person than the photos suggest.)

This is soooooo slept on! Such a bright and happy Sandalwood fragrance!

Despite the bottle, this would smell lovely on a man! He would probably have to get the body spray as it's much less feminine looking lol. @Maritza, that's funny you mention mixing it w Jimmy's, well l call it PLUMERIA PASSION, but I digress. I was wearing the rose passion and then put this one on after, not even trying to. So that comment was such a fun coincidence!

Bit of a dissapointment for me. I realy tought I'll like this scent. It's leaning towards more masculine for me, I feel it very heavy and spicy, not a feminin scent. Also something makes it nauseastic for me. To say something positive it is long lasting on clothes 24h later I still can feel it on my jumper, but over all it's not for me.

first smells reminded me of dill. the dill like scent really stuck around as more of the woody notes came out. an interesting fragrance for sure, i could see many people liking this and many hating it.

to my nose this almost smells identical to baccarat on the dry down... I have no clue why..I have a sample of this but I'm sure I will not buy a full bottle as not for me. Id rate it a 3/10..

It smells quite nice, but very unisex. I can see this being worn by both women and men. It’s a bright, citrusy, woody fragrance, no sweetness.

Yup, wood shavings and pepper, as someone commented below. And dill. This is very disagreeable to my nose and lasts forever unfortunately. I love all the notes separately but this particular combination of them smells awful on my skin. Hard pass.

Impulse buy at TJMaxx..honestly I just wanted the dam bottle! Its so pretty, I love hearts. I smelled this previously in another store a while back, Still a no for me. Smells super minty, woody peppery like an un- sexy mens perfume. There's NO sweetness at all! I dont smell any floral notes, sandalwood or pear. This does NOT smell like gingham glow or bronze goddess!! Whoever added those are way off! Such a shame, the bottle is gorgeous! But the scent is just horrible! I need to see if layering this with vanilla will help, I seriously doubt this will work with anything. I think the mint in this just opened up my sinuses, wow. UPDATE: Put on alittle gingham glow lotion after my shower , some coconut/vanilla body oil, and I suddenly caught a small hint of a note ot two that made me think of Goldie! I instantly grabbed my bottle of Goldie, sprayed some on and it mixed so well with my coconut/vanilla layering combo! Also mixed well my Jimmy Choo Rose Passion!!

Got a sample, it’s a no from me. There’s something that could be sweet and pretty hiding in the background, but it’s totally veiled by kind of salty dusty musk? I don’t like it at all, reminds me of Ellis brooklyns salt. Not a fan. Also lasted for about 30 minutes max.

This literally smells like dry wood shavings after you chainsawed a wood plank with saw dust included and I like it....super powdery/dusty/woody there's a slight spicy peppery kick to it as well...marigolds provide a slight aromatic touch...barely any sweetness which could lean unisex...it's interesting...
