L'Invisible

This is such an pretty, delicate fragrance. It's predominately ylang ylang and lemon. The opening promises more oakmoss than actually materializes on the drydown, but it's still there in the background, albeit faintly. On me, it's the kind of scent that fuses to the skin, creating the illusion that I just naturally smell like flowers. There's nothing cluttered or contrived here, no shouting for attention. This is one of the qualities that I appreciate about natural perfumery, and it's at its best with Strange Invisible Perfumes and this one in particular. I do wish the fragility of its composition didn't translate into such poor longevity, but sometimes those are the tradeoffs. It reminds me slightly of Heretic's Florgasm, another beautiful wisp of a fragrance. I wish I didn't love these fleeting floral and citrus compositions as much as I do.

This is a feminine, light and gentle fragrance. I smell more amber or maybe ambrette than anything else, and I am not really fond of that note. But riding along with that it, it's as if there is a breeze carrying the subtle scents of rose, ylang-ylang, and vanilla. The perfume is not robust or intense, so I never seem to smell those other 3 notes all at one time, just fleeting bits of them here and there. I was hoping for more oakmoss, but I don't get any. I like it, and it's easy to wear, but I'm not sure it has enough oomph for me. But I do think it's pretty.

This was the only one in the line that was really pretty but man is it weak! If you want a nice ylang, ylang scent that is all natural try Gather Perfumes The Earth Laughs in Flowers. That is a delicate yellow floral w/ a sweet yuzu, botanical musk and an herbal pollen like haze from elderflower. This one while pretty does not last for more than 10 mins.
