Concrete Forest

Concrete and bamboo freshie. Reminds me of a morning stroll in Tokyo in November. November rain just floating by. Sitting in a park and walking off into more urban surroundings on a wet cool morning. Nice floral clean comes through. Ginko comes but very lite. Enjoy this.

Opened green and minty. Then orange blossom and fruit came in. After a bit it became fresh and clean like a freshly washed laundry. It’s this moment that this reminded me of MFK 724 & Aqua Universalis. Overall it’s quite easy to use. As for the green part it’s very much like Eau de Lierre Eau de Toilette Diptyque but much more pleasant.

one of the more likable and unique offerings from the brand. as with many other of prin's fragrances, you can pick up on a lot of the notes listed. the mountain air, bamboo, concrete, and cucumber are very apparent in here. really really nice fragrance and quite unique but enjoyable. 8.5/10

Best described as a wash of fresh clothes with a hint of cucumber and freshly mowed grass! Moderate strength with it lasting me about 6 or so hours, the smell gets softer and sweeter the longer it is on your person (gets more floral). Would definitely recommend for Spring use

Mint-based with a nice hint of fruit the first time I sniffed it. I had a smell again today and it smells really strongly of cucumber. Lovely, light smell for a man or a really nice (expensive) layering fragrance for anyone

It's raining. A dirty older man chewing gum, clothes soaked from the rain, walking around the outskirts of northern Kyoto, near Arashiyama. The wind carries the smell of the nearby bamboo forest. You walk past a house being built, concrete pour still waiting to set. The neighbours have a garden full of plants that bellow their green smell into the air as the rain falls on them. This is very cold, damp and green. A slight touch of mint adds some vibrancy, but it really is struggling to peak through the damp cold concrete vibe. It's definitely wearable (helped very much by the mint, in my opinion), and in fact was complimented on it whilst having this sample on, but not for me. Ginkgo note could rub some people the wrong way, as they can kind of smell like old socks / vomit. Perhaps why it generates a dirty older man in damp clothes smell to me.

Concrete Forest is, honestly, a kind of boring scent. It's not boring meaning I think the notes are boring: I think the cucumber scent is fresh and sort of invokes memories of cucumber and melon soap in my grandparents' sink. The mint and green tea were noticeable, both in the initial spray and the dry down. But that's... kind of it? I really just might not like green-themed scents (See My "Stomped on a Bed of Lettuce" review for that origin). Green's not my color, and apparently green is not that interesting of a scent for me. I don't know, I just think this one is kinda boring. I could wear cucumber-melon soap and probably get a similar smell.

I'm always up for trying unique designer fragrances. I got the damp concrete note in the opening. After about 20 min., that wore off and it developed into a lovely bright green floral fragrance. If it wasn't for the concrete opening, I'd buy a large bottle (reviewing a sample that I got). I just can't get past that.

This is the kind of green scent I do not like... I think the cucumber ruins it for me, it just smells like generic cologne in th opening... The drydown is a bit better: it turns slightly floral and the cucumber disappears. But it's not something I enjoy, and it does NOT smell like petrichor.

Serves its purpose... concrete and a forest! But as it dies down, it does being to flourish its colors a bit more.

Sorry, but this one smells pretty cheap. Like something from the cologne section at a Walmart. The opening is spicy, like cracking open a pepper or celery. The cucumber note definitely gives off more of a pickle scent than a fresh watery cucumber. There's this strong "spicy celery" smell that is very bewildering and uncomfortable. It's sharp and peppery-vegetal with a bit of... musk? :( I was expecting something like You Or Someone Like You (ELDO) with a minty freshness but that’s not at all what came across on my skin. Instead, it reminds me more of Flowerbomb Nectar or Wicked Love by Maison Margiela which I absolutely hate, which lists notes of green pepper, basil, and musk. The fragrance doesn’t make me gag, but the drydown from that horrible opening is painfully slow. Once it finally settles, it becomes a little powdery (like baby powder) with a faint minty edge, though the pickle vibe lingers. Oddly, it also made my skin tingle like Icy Hot. Big no from me.

I didn’t love the opening but I gave it a few minutes and it became a little more pleasant. It’s been about a half hour now and it’s certainly got a greenness to it. Fresh stems and petrichor. I do understand what they are getting at when they say mountain air and concrete, but it just comes off as if I’m wearing one of my husbands old shirts if he wore like axe body spray and was outside in nature in the rain all day. I asked him what he thinks of this one and he said “it smells like Irish springs soap.” It does kinda have a man’s clean skin/laundry quality. I honestly can’t decide whether I like it or not. It’s kinda cute and kinda reminds me of something nostalgic that made me happy. I might try it out in the summer and see how I feel about it then.

I feel I may be an outlier here. I definitely get a lot of photorealistic pavement smell at the very opening but after it dries down all I get is straight up Irish Spring. This could just be my chemistry but it leans Very, Very Masculine, BIG and Astringent Green, somewhat Herbal. The sampling experience was actually pretty nostalgic for me because it is what my Dad and Brother used growing up so I wouldn't say it's bad... but I won't be buying, even with that beautiful photo realistic pavement smell at the top.

Probably the only green fragrance I'm willing to purchase. At first, I pick up the bamboo and Ivy, 2 seconds later the mint shines through. After a few minutes, it's turning into a very relaxing well-blended airy almost clean vegetable scent. It makes me think of a shrine surrounded by a humid forest at the top of a mountain. Remarkable.

i was hesitant upon the opening: the ginkgo and cucumber kinda give celery like others also said...gave it time. dried down to the gentle scent of cracking leaves in wet herb garden. kinda weird in a charming way. mid-notes are a gentle breeze carrying the air of a forest on the edge of town.

super wearable, very green, perfect city summer scent. going to the corner park in a fresh shirt or taking flowers into a matinee.
