Rêve Du Matin

The opening of this is an incredibly bitter leaf tea. I was a bit unsure where this was going, enduring several minutes of intense bitterness, but as it calms down a nice warm honey (the same honey note as in Kilian's Back to Black), peaks through, adding a lovely sweetness to add to the tea. A touch of citrus and florality comes in just after, completing the feel of a honey citrus floral tea. If I was to have tried this in a store on strip, I would have instantly dismissed this as repulsive because of the opening, but wearing a sample of it on skin whilst at home and spending time with it has let it reveal it's true self to me. The opening was very loud and in your face but it's calming down to scent that sits close to the skin. It's not super long lasting. Kind of sits in an odd position because of it's price, that no one is going to be buying a bottle of this to wear whilst out and about, but I think if someone was looking for a relaxing cosy gentle honey tea scent to wear in the afternoon with a warming spring breeze rolling through the house, this could be very much what you're looking for. tl;dr - Painfully bitter opening leads to a soft honey tea. Performance is lacking, but that may just be it's charm. It's perfect for a short moment in time before you then put on your main fragrance for the day / evening.

Pretty, breezy, aromatic thing that feels kind of like a Strangers Parfumerie iteration of Jicky. Note that it doesn't smell the same--just very much the same idea with overlapping notes of citrus, lavender, and haylike coumarin. It's lightened up by what feels like transparent floralizing muguet aromachemicals (hydroxycitronellal, florol, and the like). It definitely has the "Prin Lomros"-ade, which I find to be a slightly sweaty, almost herbal musk that I find strongly in scents like Mriga. In Mriga, it consumes the scent and, when I'm in the mood, I love the feral nature of it. Here, the little touch of it is nice and more well-integrated into another Strangers fougere--Mauvais Garcons, where is reads a little swampy. This scent also brings to mind a more approachable version of Bogue's MEM...or at least the treatment of lavender is the same, where its aromatic nature is held up by both floral and animalic notes. I really like the atmosphere this evokes, but it doesn't displace Jicky as my favorite version of the animalic jasmine-tinged floral fougere.

I'm quite disappointed by this. So much so that I wonder if I was given the wrong sample. I get NONE of the notes above. Right away it's very powdery, very soapy. Like a dove soap bar, with maybe the tiniest HINT of honey if I really concentrate. I get absolutely no bergamot, no citrus, no floral. It's just Powdery Dove Soap. Really devastating as I love Earl Grey tea and was really hoping for something.

The florals in this are way too overpowering to appreciate the other notes. It's unfortunately a very older lady scent. Not a fan of this one

Very green and sharp scent. The green tea is very prominent, the citrus peels, the musk, the florals...everything is so sharp in this scent. This needs to be sampled. It seems it has some nice quality ingredients, but very strong and high pitched elements. It feels green, bitter and mean.

a lavender forward wild flower bouquet with subtle hints of citrus & honey. not getting as much tea. when initially sprayed, it does smell like a lavender room spray and unfortunately i can’t get past that.
