Virginia

I bought a sample of this and Fume Ma Peau. Fume Ma Peau is strange. Virginia is much different. The notes come together to create a very floral, powdery smell. I like it a lot it seems more feminine to me. I really enjoy wearing this at home.Sad that it has been out of stock for several months. I look forward to getting a bottle. If anyone has a bottle they want to sell send me a message.

A lovely and evocative floral aromatic green that reminds one of the smells of the English countryside. The perfume opens with green notes of grass, fig leaf, artemisia, angrlica and cypress. The heart is floral herbal with galbanum, gardenia, dandelion, wild flowers, lily of the valley, black elder and chrysanthemum. The base is an interesting powdery one comprised of paper, oak, vetiver, suede, olibanum and vetiver. Meant to evoke the ambience of the surroundings in which Virginia Woolf wrote some of her works like Mrs Dalloway, the perfume succeeds beautifully in capturing that feeling. Beautiful blending, unisex (feminine leaning) with moderate to strong sillage, projection and longevity. Very nice!

My interpretation of this fragrance was that it's actually a lovely natural floral and although it goes on a little feminine has actually matured into something wearable for me. The opening has a green, lush floral effect like wild flowers but then becoming more like lily of the valley and more tradtional powdered fair in the drydown. That green opening too has a touch of fig to it which works perfectly and the drydown is actually a bit like a clean musk, soapy vetiver. It's not as overtly, indy or artisan as some of the others in this line and I think that works in it's favour giving a nice balance. Not massively strong either but clings to clothing nicely. I liked it.

Virginia, a beautiful clean floral soapy scent, while it seems very standard floral soap, it performs so well that has a strong laundry scent, after the laundry when placing all the clothes hanging, in winter you get this beautiful trail, is a mix of that feeling and a magnificent soap, Galbanim, Lily of the valley, chrisantamum are prominent and it might be very simple and direct, but an expert nose would definitely understand the mastery of this work, the dry down is a very feminine leaning fragrance that will give a satisfying feeling to any beautiful woman elevating her presence. Highly suggested to girls that are looking for a signature scent.
