Wicked John

This is not for me, but my hubby - He likes frags as much as I do but has only dipped toes into the niche world yet so, aside from a few in a PDM sampler set, this was the first one he liked. Sillage and longevity were extremely surprising! There was a noticeable but not off-putting trail from each room he was in. It last a good 10 hours on him and until next wash on his clothes. At first sniff, it has a kind of mass-appealing scent to it but on skin is where it shines! It's wearable but memorable. The soil and metal are very prominent in the air but on his skin the ink and gasoline bloom wonderfully! The lavender makes an appearance with tonka, giving it slightly sweet notion but nothing like a "sugar" sweet. Sample purchased from Surrender to Chance US and full bottle from Bloom UK

This is a classy scent for those that want something with more interesting notes in their fragrance. Although, lavender is the most prominent note, for my nose, it's combined with an interesting mix of supporting notes to make it unique. The opening is combined with a gunpowder accord that I would call a dusty gunpowder without becoming powdery. That then turns to a dry soil smell (lavender stays throughout) that reminds me of soil found in more arid climates rather than damp, garden or forest soil. I also get small, occasional hints of the rose as well as a feeling of warm metal that gives it a generally warm composition. Very well blended overall and impressed.

Lavender/Tonka dominant scent with some slightly modern notes of metal, soil and gunpowder. It’s nice to wear a scent that hints at tradition but gets there through a bit of grit and grime. Not terribly challenging like some of Prin’s other work but not boring or redundant either. John Wick? Sure, why not!

I don't know what exactly I was expecting because of marketing hype... but this clearly surpassed all of those expectations. Imagine if Polo Blue and Layton got together and had a bastard child, which then became addicted to dieselpunk vibes. This will absolutely be a regular in my rotation.

initially i thought this was just a generic aftershave smell with an occasional hint of tobacco on the dry down & i was very disappointed. but this has grown on me so much & is one of my favourites, i can’t believe it’s been discontinued. i don’t even know how to explain what it smells like. it’s very creamy & warm & comforting but also cold & crisp. imagine you’re in the comfiest bed with mountains of soft blankets ... in the middle of an empty warehouse. love! somebody make this perfume again and give me 50 bottles
