Afterglow

Sucreabeille marks my first foray into niche fragrances and I have to say I am impressed. Afterglow is reminiscent of exactly what the name suggests. It's sexy and warm and the honey is very prominent. It dries down to such a soothing earthy amber. I can only imagine going to a May Day festival, getting drunk on mead and chocolate, and falling asleep on a warm fur pelt in the forest with a handsome strange might smell like this.

This was an interesting one. It opens with a mix of creamy pear and chocolate, with hints of salted caramel. The chocolate gets stronger in the first 15-30 minutes and reminds me of those old chocolate scented toys. Wasn't there a chocolate Strawberry Shortcake character? Theres a hint of cherry cordial and slightly burnt sugar. As it dries down, the pear shines through much more strongly, as if one was at a fair and eating a caramel dipped pear.

I echo the sentiments of the review right below mine as written by @angiec777--the only thing I might say differently is "falling asleep on the warm tweed jacket in a dark, scholarly library with a handsome stranger" instead of the forest. Either way, both play. This is a great fragrance.

Mmmm....I get all the other descriptions but it’s giving me something else. I get...that last day of summer at the beach. Sunscreen mixed with sweat and the honey dipping cup that comes with deep fried cinnamon sticks. Chocolate flavored lip balm and warm vanilla body cream on sun warmed skin. Dries down to an earthy, wet sand musk that hangs on to a drizzle of the honey note. This one is inspiring!

Such a hidden gem omg.. Last for HOURS and is very realistic.
