Sulmona Essenza

Finding a fragrance that smells like marzipan has been a lifelong fragrance journey of mine and I can confidently say that I have now found it! Sulmona Essenza has been my greatest fragrance discovery of 2023❤️ In the initial blast you get full on marzipan - nothing more and nothing less. I smell chewy, sweet, nutty almond extract aroma sweetness; it’s pure bliss. After around 5 minutes or so the marzipan accord fades and turns into fluffy sweet confectionary powdered sugar almonds and it stays linear after that point. I can’t get over how beautiful this smells. It’s super feminine but be warned everyone around you including yourself will want to taste you. I will say the projection and sillage is mild which is so so so sad but you and everyone else who is arms lengths away will be able to smell you. Longevity is around 2-3 hours unfortunately. After finishing my sample I ordered two bottles because I know I will have to overspray but I’m just so happy to have found my ultimate perfect marzipan fragrance (for now) 🙏🏼 I pray to the fragrance Gods that Sulmona Essenza can read our reviews below and somehow reformulate this fragrance to ONLY have better the projection, sillage & longevity. I would have been so happy if I blind bought this but I never recommend blind buying in case your nose picks up on notes differently. Sometimes almond in certain fragrances can come off as smelling like urinal cakes (which in this case for me it didn't) so test before buying! Backup bottle approved!

I really like it! This is totally not into my fave group because it's so sweet and candy, but I loved it nonetheless for its beauty. Sulmona is a lovely town in Italy where they produce the best known confetti with Almond, the original type. This perfume smells like true fine Italian almond confetti, very strong and very vanillic almond, it makes you crave for sweets, but in no way it smells like all the candy Lollipop fake synthetical cheap perfumes around. It smell like the open rear door of an exquisite Italian patisserie full of fresh cakes and mignon. Flowers are listed, but honestly I smell them in the background not as dominant. It's a fine scent and not cloying in spite of big sweetness. I love it. It lasts forever on fabrics, it has sillage and duration. The packaging is also lovely.

Delicious fragrance that smells like Italian confetti and cotton candy. Almond, sugar and vanilla are the most prominent notes coming out of it. You will smell like a treat. Bottle is pretty, femminine with vintage vibes. Unfortunately despite being expensive, it lacks of lasting power and projection. This should be branded as Eau de Toilette and cost half the price. Slightly reminds me of "Baby - Wicked Style" of the Harajuku lovers line by Gween Stefani.

I believe this is called Confetto on Scent Split but they dont detail if it’s the EDT or EDP version, so I’m assuming it’s the EDT?? The notes match and it’s the same brand, so here are my thoughts: Confetto by Profumum Roma is one of my top scents so I had to try this, but it doesn’t smell like Confettto PR, this is a more “edible” type of fragrance. Smells like a delicious confection thats still in the making, almond batter instead of almond cake, candied almonds and edible flourishes that are still baking or being mixed together. So pretty!
