Abid Ambre Eau de Parfum

Imagine boss bottled with an amped up resin factor. Explosive and sparkling, fills a room but is still suitable for work/formal. Dries down to smell like a fresh sheet of white paper, that smell when you tear it down the middle. This really speaks to how well it has been blended. Probably my best compliment puller in my collection. Months later I bought Boss Bottled EDT to compare. What a waste of money. Stay away from Boss Bottled EDT. Buy this instead. Even not 'instead', try this for a brilliant blue.

Wonderfull and addictive - something I love sniffing again and again. I layer it with the oil of the same brand. Lasts decently upto 6 hours on the skin and longer on the cloths with a very good sillage for first 1-2 hours.

This is a beautiful soft, citrusy musk which in my opinion is far more feminine than masculine. In fact, I think it should be marketed as unisex rather than a fragrance for men. The longevity is excellent and projection is very good as well. The thing that I love most about this fragrtance, is the soft musky dry down that it leaves behind on the skin. A great perfume for layering and a superb perfume for spring and summer wear.

A pleasant scent, with a prominent note of citrus, especially in the opening. As it dries down you get more of a woody, musky feel. I’d rate this higher if it projected better- however sillage is intimate for me- as it sits on my skin for pretty much the whole life of the fragrance. Longevity is just okay, nothing special, at least on my skin. It’s a shame because the fragrance itself is very appealing. Scent: 7/10 Projection: 3/10 Longevity: 5/10 Overall: 6/10

#38 of My Fragrance Journey - Sunnamusk Abid Ambre: It Missed the Mark You know that feeling when something’s supposed to sparkle - but just... doesn’t? That’s *Abid Ambre*. Everyone says it opens with this burst of grapefruit, lemon, mandarin - sunshine in a bottle. I didn’t get that. Not even close. On me, the citrus was faint, almost ghostly, like it wanted to show up but got lost on the way. No real brightness, no energy - just this soft, polite hum of something *trying* to be fresh. Then the rose comes in. And that’s where it loses me completely. It’s not the velvety, romantic kind - it’s sharp, metallic, papery, like a rose made of foil. It doesn’t blend with the rest; it just hovers there, nasal and slightly harsh. You can’t ignore it, no matter how much you want to. And when the base finally shows up, you’re kind of hoping it’ll save the day. But... it doesn’t. The sandalwood and white musk dry-down feels thin, dusty, a bit like warm paper. There’s some vanilla and amber underneath, but they never quite bloom - just sit quietly in the background, like they’ve given up trying. It’s not bad, just uninspired. Too clean, too safe, too... *there*. And for the record, no - it doesn’t smell like Boss Bottled. At all. This one’s playing a weird citrus-floral game with that bossy rose right in the middle. "Abid Ambre" wants to be bright and cosy, but it ends up muted and awkward. The rose overpowers, the base underdelivers, and the whole thing feels like a conversation that never really goes anywhere. Not offensive, but not memorable either.

This is pretty much a clone of the original Boss Bottled from 1998. I don't have a problem with that per se seeing as every house has 'inspired by' fragrances nowadays whether they like to admit it or not. However, this fragrance was pushed heavily on YouTube ads as their flagship creation and the fact its a mere clone of a popular mens fragrance from 1998 is a massive disappointment. With a name like Abid Ambre you would think it to be a daring fragrance centred around the note of Amber but it isn't. It isn't daring or bold. Instead it's rather mass appealing, inoffensive and very uninspiring. I'm guessing the strategy was to bring back an old fragrance DNA with the hopes that people would have forgotten about it and then brand it as something new and fresh. Unfortunately, Boss Bottled has a very distinguishable DNA and you can detect it's presence in other popular men's fragrances around today. Think PDM Layton, Paco Rabanne 1 Million and even Aventus to some degree. I received my bottle as a gift but I don't think I'd ever purchase it with my own money. I don't intend to be harsh - it's just that they hyped it up as an original creation from an up and coming new brand and failed to deliver. Their other creations are all clones too from what I have tried in their stalls. Its more for the average consumer or passer by who will take a sniff and hopefully find it pleasing enough to consider purchasing. That being said - is it a good clone? I think it is decent and the longevity / projection are okay but not great. Probably a slight bit better than you will get from the current formulation of Boss Bottled. There is a tad more of a musky feeling than what I remember from the original but overall it's the same apple / cinnamon combo with a vanilla dry down. Needless to say if you like Boss Bottled you will like this too. Overall 3/10- very unoriginal.

Harsh chemicals followed by generic nothing perfume. Terrible had to scrub it off very headache inducing.

This is a welcome refuge from the overhyped, overpriced ‘blue’ world of BdC, Dior and YSL. Influencers label it is as a clone of BdC, but that might not be strictly true. AA’s opening citrus note seems to be mellower than that of BdC with the rose and amber wood given more room to breathe. Having used Blues from pricier houses, I’m happy to stick with Sunnamusk at its far more realistic price. Performance is good and hangs around my own nostrils for the best part of a working day.

I have this fragrance and the oil version is better than the spray, I was at work and some guy smelt exactly like this and I asked him if he was wearing abid ambre? He said no it’s boss bottled. I was shocked as it smelled exactly the same. I then went and sampled boss bottled and turns out abid ambre is a dupe of boss bottled and they’re charging more than the original. That leaves a very bad taste after. I know which bottled version I’ll be buying next.

I received this as a gift but I won’t blind buy It’s a nice fragrance. But it Smells generic. Performance overall is 4/10
