The original oil was absolutely sublime. Very different, niche and alluring. This edp has some added notes, and although the original DNA is present, this is a different creature altogether. It remains very highly rated in my collection. This is my go-to evening fragrance. In fact, I didn't have an evening fragrance routine until I acquired this bottle. The DNA is mostly a coffee shop vibe from the coffee, tonka and cacao bean trio with a clean-pressed linen-musk drydown. There is also a strong cedar and patchouli presence from the original DNA poking through and meeting some of the newly introduced sandalwood. Everything is underpinned by vanilla but it's never in 'sweet' territory. This is still bitter, green and brown, very reminiscent of Boss Bottled Elixir but this is a ladies pleaser. For fans of: Coffee frags Clean musks Boss Bottled elixir Cedar/patchouli This is truly a gem and along with Abid Ambre, should really put Sunnamusk on the fragrance map. Update: I'm wearing one on each arm. Bottled elixir comes across a bit more loud and rusty or tangy. Afgan oud comes across nuttier, smoother and classier. Not as diffusive but the musk is immortal and clean. In the original oil formulation, the musk transferred to clothes and left a really approachable clean scent. I would love to see the original oil formulation come back. I still have 5ml left and it feels so precious, now that the EDP has added notes and a different vibe. That aside I consider this backup worthy. Anything under RRP is worth it.

I don't own a bottle however have tested it out twice now and both times I loved it. Very spicy and green to me. Lasted very long. I would give it 8.5/10. Surprised how good this sunnamusk brand is.

Reminds me of black avarita from memoize London. Same ball park as black afgano by Nasamotto but I cannot smell the cannabis note or the mentioned coffee note. Probably blended well and that coffee might be giving the green smoky smell at the opening. Starts of very herbal and smoky green. Quality is very good. Definitely sample at store first
