Plum de Velours

This fragrance has conquered my heart. It's become my favourite one from the entire Superfumista collection! 💜 It's a work of art, perfection made into a fragrance. It's a perfume that takes me straight back to childhood memories ❤️. A beautiful fruity woody fragrance. The perfect unisex perfume, not too masculine, not too femenine. A powerful yet calming fragrance, like a warm and cozy hug in autumn. Although it's not among its notes, the first aroma I perceive in the first two seconds is a violet candy! Then the sweetness of the prune mixed with the warm cardamom appears bringing me a boozy nuance and a licorice scent. The mimosa and the iris soon appear with a powdery, floral touch. The mingling of the prune with the tobacco and woody notes makes this an elegant and sophisticated fragrance. The longevity of this fragrance, like all the fragrances in the collection, is amazing. Honestly, highly recommended 💜

Powdery and fruity, yes, but not in the obvious way. The opening has this plum brightness, just a tad liquorous, like the moment a fruit starts tipping from ripe into something deeper. Then it moves into a softer, fuller velvety drydown where delicate hints of mimosa and a whisper of tobacco add a quiet warmth, the way a plum slowly turns into prune... denser, more intimate. The first thing that comes to mind is elegance, then this faint feeling of nostalgia appears but not the dark or heavy kind. More of a serene one, oddly soothing. Wearing it feels like wrapping yourself in velvet, smooth and reassuring, the way you’d pull on a scarf that still carries the day’s warmth.

I adore this scent. It has a very sophisticated opening and a cozy, long-lasting dry down. That Plum, Iris, and Mimosa combination is stunning. Such a beautiful creation!

To my nose this smells heavily of suede and leather. It’s an absolute no for me.
