Lake Balaton

Im purely I love with this scent. I'm using the perfume oil from them. I first smelt it on a friends and it was slightly salty and coconuty on her, but not in a cheap way, I knew I had to buy it. On me at first it has a strong bittery and salty scent, with some hints of metal. The bitterness leaves after a half an hour, the salty sea scent stays with you, but it doesn't bring that tipical aquatic scent, wich i dislike. The bitterness as I said retracts and is replaced with a slightly spicy, peppery note and the grapefruit reveals itself. I heard the perfume is giving of other vibes, but the oil I will 1000% percent buy at least one more time.

Surrounded by hills covered with vineyards, castles and monasteries, and rural villages, this gem of fresh water is an iconic symbol of history and beauty. This fragrance is very enjoyable. Soft, creamy, sweet as lake water scents, given mainly by an accord of juicy grapefruit and saffron, make it a relaxing and enveloping perfume. I really liked it, I found it different from the others and it immediately went on my wishlist.

Okay First off I own Bacc 540, and these scents smelly NOTHING alike. Bacc is warm, metallic ambers and spicy. Lake Balaton opens with a slightly and I use that lightly SLIGHTLY similar scent to Bacc. With in 2 minutes and on it becomes and stays an extremely fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. As fresh as it comes, almost drinkable. It has a hint of Salty but that’s its. Clean grapefruit. I’m very nice for the day and summer and lasts forever.

I totally disagree that this is like BR . This is beautiful and worth a purchase . Perfect for summer . I think I will have to purchase . Tried it in Budapest in their flagship store . I cannot stop thinking about it !!!I purchased Nectar D’Afrique instead ... I regret not buying this one tho ... z

Yummy it smells like a delicious Aperol Spritz, only this is better! For me this is the definition of unisex, I can imagine this on both myself and my boyfriend, I guess the skin will bring the difference here. Tried a sample, recently ordered the full bottle so I am expecting it to arrive soon

Imagine walking along the shores of Lake Balaton with your partner. You enjoy the sun, the great view... everything great that's Balaton. That's Lake Balaton. It's coming from someone who grew up there :)

I tried it in their showroom, and it smells amazing. Will buy it to my boyfriend once it's available to order

Like many of us here, I don't really understand perfumes, but it's far one of the best I've ever tried. :)

Great summer fragrance. Most grapefruity i had.

A lot of people will definitely associate this scent with BR540 - and I have to admit that I associate it as such, also. However, there are a few differences - one, and I think the most important one of them all, is how the grapefruit in Lake Balaton blends so well with the saffron note. It is quite the simple fragrance, for a decent price, but it does the trick when you feel summery, vacation-y, it's a lovely scent for any kind of occasion without being cloying, annoying, disgusting, or unsafe for one's sensitive nose - dried down, this scent is as pleasant as it can get, without too many trails in terms of "walking through" the notes phase. I don't get much of the rest (vetiver, moss, etc.) but since I'm a grapefruit lover, this scent easily took 1st place in terms of grapefruit scents (at least for the moment).

- Fresh, green, it reminds me of grape juice or a vineyard. - At first, I didn’t read the ingredients and said: grape juice, moss, melon. - It’s not sour, but it has vetiver notes. - Its green character is balanced by the appearance of jasmine and saffron flower, but you wouldn’t call it a floral scent. - As a Hungarian, I’d say it matches the name of our country’s largest lake: Lake Balaton. - Its greenish water and reed-covered shores (early summer, still tender reeds). - The shore is full of vendors selling lángos (a Hungarian fried dough dish) and ice cream. Thankfully, there’s no scent of garlic lángos, but you can sense various fruit ice creams in it. - Grapefruit is listed among the ingredients, but it’s very much in the background. For example, Superz: La Boheme perfume—that’s pure grapefruit. 10/8

Nice fragrance, I do not think it is that unique tho, I think a lot of fragrances have similar smell. The grapefruit is very nice in the background and kinda carries the whole scent. Projection: 6/10 Longevity: 5/10 I think superz should work on the longevity and projection of their perfumes, try to boost the concentration or something.

Idk how people say this leans more masculine, imo this is straight women scent. 90% similar to baccarat rouge after 40min. Good quality for the price. Projection and lasting is alright. Overall 8/10

Strong grapefruit for 3-4 hours. this is a skin scent on my skin and clothes. not bad but nothing special.

Tényleg hasonlít a Baccrat illathoz de nem teljesen olyan. meg ebből is csak mintán van. De én jobban preferálom a Baccarat alternatívaként a Armaf Club de nuit untoldot de abból is nehéz jóba bele nyúlni.

This smells similar to their 1899 fragrance...it's hard to tell a difference to be honest..

BR540 dupe with bad performance, avoid!!!

We go to Balaton ever year and this is NOT what I imagined this perfume would smell. To me, it's BR540 with an extra dose of bitter orange in the opening. The dry-down is pretty much the same, but I can't get passed that dentist's office note and I'm not a BR540 fan anyway so glad I got the chance to sample it but not fb worthy.

Oh wow I can't wait for this one. Sweet black mossy mud of the Balaton, fried fish, cotton candy ice cream and fresh cut grass, maybe some provincial flowers is what I'd associate with this one. Saffron? Really? A willow note would have been super fitting.

I dont know why, for my nose its a 70% copy of god of fire. Many says BR540 - i smell no corellation between these. Overall strong, balanced, evolving parfume, I like it. Less mangoey and less penetrating tjan god of fire. And its a good news.
