Sweet Darkness

Got a bunch of Superz. stuff since it was on sale, read a lot of mixed reviews ranging from the brand being the best stuff ever to it being literally worse than excrement. So what's the truth then? Let's look at prices first to see whether or not what we are getting counts as "being ripped off" On sale I paid around 80-90 bucks for most of the fragrances I bought, let's call it an even 85 that I paid. For 100ml that would round out to 170, which is the price you are paying for Erba Pura at 100ml on a discounter site. PDM Layton is similarly priced with its 125ml variant at 200 bucks. If buying regular niche fragrances counts as getting ripped off, then yeah sure, you're getting ripped off, same way you are getting ripped off whenever you are paying 250 bucks for 100ml of 2024 Creed Aventus (or any Creed fragrance for that matter). Finally, you are getting an extrait instead of an EDP, which technically means you are getting about twice the amount of perfume oil per bottle. On paper, this doesn't have to mean anything, as the quality of ingredients and their blending is quite a bit more important than the total amount of pure juice, but it does at least promise to be a better value proposition IF extrait here means better performance and sillage. So what do you get for 170€/100ml? In my humble opinion, pretty good stuff, I'd say you get what you pay for. To keep this on topic about Sweet Darkness ( I chose one fragrance to write my review on), it would probably be more apt to call this Dark Sweetness, since imo the sweet and ambery accords dominate for the first few hours. It does SLIGHTLY go into the direction of a Tobacco Vanille to give you an idea but it's a lot earthier and woodier. Scent is such a subjective topic so I think objectively rating a fragrance at least on it's scent profile is a bit pointless, though I will say that this is not a blind buy safe option, unless you dig tobacco or oud fragrances. Have to still test performance, but going off of how strongly this stuff radiates off of my wrist and how long the notes persist, it being an extrait definitely shows. Lastly, pressurized atomizer AND a magnetic cap, huge plus for me personally. A lot of the controversy comes from this brand sponsoring creators such as Curlyfragrance (who people do not like here because she sells her own fragrance that is similarly priced to another influencer fragrance by a certain gentleman in a white suit), but I'd say most of the hate is entirely unjustified if one just looks at the fragrance itself. The perfumer responsible for most of the fragrances of this house is Hüseyin Erdogmus, who interestingly has made a number of fragrances for other brands that are quite a bit higher rated than most of the Superz. ones here on fragrantica. I doubt that a perfumer who has been in the business for as long as he has randomly decides to produce worse fragrances specifically for one brand, if all of the fragrances are manufactured in one and the same fragrance house. I'd say there for sure is some bias at play here. All in all, the fragrance is good, you get what you pay for and this is true for all of the other Superz. fragrances I have tried, i.e. Morocco, Flamingo Fizz, Memories Gold, 1723, Khamzat The Wolf and Valhalla( doesn't have a listing here on Fragrantica, it's similar to Amouage Interlude if you're curious.)

Women like it around me(the most important factor). Sweet in a good way and it has a perfect play with green and tobacco/coffee notes. Perfect winter/fall fragrance.

Tried it, loved it, but this is definitely not for everybody. As the say different strokes for different folks!

@NNy00 This isn't an attack so don't get annoyed or do what most people do and retort with some nonsensical, clouded and altogether ridiculous remark. BUT, just because you don't like the smell of it doesn't mean that it smells awful as a whole. Reviews are meant to give people an idea of what the fragrance is like, so you'd help by describing it in depth, instead of saying its a horrible smell. E.g. what notes can you extract from the fragrance, why it smells horrible to you and what style of fragrance you normally opt for. This would give the reader a relative idea of what its actually like. Now, for the main part. Did you actually just call someone a w***e because you bought something you didn't like. Curly Fragrance preaches almost every episode for you to try before you buy, because what she likes might not be the same as what you like. Not, to mention a lot of beginner fragrance aficionados noses' aren't able to understand complex oud smells and usually refer to them as "skanky" or "manure like". So, to call someone a w***e because you didn't like something that you bought, without testing it first is borderline insane. Anyway, I'm not here to argue. Just to guide. This, fragrance is not something I would recommend for beginners or something I'd advise blind buying. If, you want a smoky vanilla fragrance look at "by the fire place" it is a lovely warm, inviting, smoky and comfortable fragrance. But, again. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.

Ma jött meg a parfüm azon az áron amin hozzá jutottam nagyon jó vétel volt. Az illat meg tényleg nagyon megosztó és semmi köze nincs a Black Afganohoz amihez hasonlítják max illat összetételre ami egyezés lehet rézben . De illatra meg egyből az Amouage interlude Man/Black irishez hasonlít illatra. Ha ezt a fajta illat világot szeretted és spórolni akarsz vagyis egy Amouage alternatívát akarsz venni akkor ez arra point jó.

I have Black Afgano and this doesn't remotely remind me of it. It s a coffee, vanille, tobacco smell . I don;t get any smokiness out of it. not that strong , lasts ~6h on skin, and days on clothes . got one compliment so far, It s good, that s all.

I bought because Curly but i come to the sad conclusion that curly became the w***e of the fragrance community. This is not performing at all and it has a horrible smell.

Having read the comments so far, I am rather astonished at the amount of nonsense many people have managed to write here. To begin with, it should be understood that Szabolcs Szerencsés, the creator of Superz perfumes, is an extremely polarising figure. Many people criticise Superz fragrances solely because of him. In this light, comments that say nothing about the actual scent are best disregarded. As for Sweet Darkness, it is a true niche fragrance. Anyone with some knowledge of perfumery – even if they do not personally enjoy it – will recognise and appreciate its uniqueness. For that reason, one must question how seriously to take negative remarks claiming it smells of cellars or stables. This fragrance is divisive, certainly, but undeniably distinctive. In my view, there are very few scents on today’s market that are more original. It is no coincidence that in the “reminds me of” section there is no consensus on what it resembles – because it resembles nothing. That is precisely what makes it special. It is almost impossible to put into words what one perceives when smelling it: the green notes, the sweetness, the oud – they are all present, but in an unexpected way. If you take my advice, order yourself a sample. At worst, you lose the price of the vial; at best, you discover a fragrance that will earn a lasting place on your perfume shelf. 😉

Imagine hating a brand for marketing, that’s the follower thing to say these days so I get it but you idiots are annoying. This is a beautiful scent no matter if YouTubers promote it or not. Everything from this house is strong and worth every penny. All of their Oud stuff is amazing if you’re curious, my favorite is royal Oud, it takes the scent dna of Oud for glory and turns it nuclear. Purchased it and they scent samples of dang near everything. Don’t be swayed by people on here who are jealous they can’t get free stuff. Oh and FYI your favorite brand of anything you buy advertises. Dummies

I managed to try this. It's awful, no other way around it, I am used to oudy or smoky fragrances so I'm not a "fragrance beginner" as someone else below likes to address people when they disagree with them, this stuff is made of nightmares, too much smoke and an overwhelming smell of barnyard, it reminds me of "The Night" by Frederic Malle, which is very hard to love/wear. If you want to wear this, you're welcome, but people around you won't be happy, be mindful.

Szerencsére csak mintaként kaptam. Személyes véleményként csak annyit, hogy büdös dohos pincében lévő, penészes boroshordó szaga van. Egyáltalán nem vakon vásárolható, vegye aki akarja, de ezt még elajándékozni sem merném. Ehhez orr kell az biztos!

Clone quality. THIS is Lattafa style and quality sold at niche price with youtube marketing. Do Not fall for it. This is tobacco sweet but slightly dark. Done 100 times. $50 for 100 ml max
