Fröjd

A lovely scent! It reminds me of sunny days in spring when the sour cherry trees blossom. The first minute is aromatic with a hint of mint leaves on me, but then the cherry note kicks in. Sweet, zingy, cherries mixed with cherry blossoms, warm wood and little white musk. The drydown is much more subdued, with dry wood being the most prominent, followed by musk and ambergris. There is still a cherry note, it's just quieter and a little spicy. Although it is sweet it is not overpoweringly so. I'm careful with the sweeter perfumes and I,ve worn it in 25C(77F). Fröjd leans more toward a fruity or floral sweetness that somehow still feels refreshing. Maybe by association with spring? I agree that this is a unisex scent, perhaps leaning slightly toward the feminine but most of all it is an energizing scent of spring. Longevity is great, 12h with one spray! Sillage is good, a bubble around you for the first 4 hours, within arm length the next 3h and settling close to the skin for the last 5+ hours. This is such a huffer! I ́ll probably finish my 5ml Fröjd sample during summer and I ́ll definitely buy a FB.

Fröjd is the second perfume from Swedish based Svensk Parfym that I’ve been able to test. And although I don’t dislike the slight medicinal cherry opening phase — first 20 minutes or so— I much prefer the drydown. In fact I adore it. The drydown is lovely when woods join the fizzy cherry. The addition of the Ambergris note is so unusual here....makes me think of a chest of cherries on a Viking ship that’s been out to sea for many months. It’s just an odd enough pairing that somehow works, making the composition strange in the best way possible. I don’t have anything like this, and I don’t know of anything similar. Most cherry scents go into the sweet syrup direction, but not Fröjd. It’s dry, kinda fizzy and aromatic. Perfect for the warmer months, a unisex cherry scent with good performance all around. I own another from this house Virke, and consider it a treasure. Now Fröjd is on my short list. Henrik Lestréus is extremely talented, I’m sure there are others in his repertoire to my liking. I can’t wait to test more from him.

Very nice and natural cherry fragance. Fresh, bright and very Well blended. Under the cherry a soft Woody basement with some Green and creamy vibes. The scent is the BEST of the fragance. Very very similar to flamenco by Ramón monegal but much softer, this could be the eau de Cologne versión of flamenco. The worst parte of the fragance, as It happens to me with most of svensk parfym fragances is the performance. I find this fragances too expensive for how they behave. Better longevity and sillage would be appreciate . I like It but to smell cherries and red f uits i still prefer flamenco for daytime and Lost cherry by Tom Ford for night. Beautiful woodsy 🍒 make up the DNA of this wonderful new creation by Svensk. A summer and spring scent and perfect for the daytime. Light-moderate projection and longevity. You wouldn't want this to be a beast. Very unique and the only cherry dominant one in my collection. It is unisex and not too feminine, I believe due to the woody notes, ambergris and musk. Not too sweet at all, very wearable and won't offend. Sticks somewhat close to the skin but enjoyable to wear.

Delicious tart cherry candy (Lifesavers, not Jolly Ranchers) on top of a sublte woody note and just a hint of vetiver - pretty simple, really, but that's part of the beauty of this fragrance. Frojd is a fresh, sweet and clean scent which lasts perhaps 4 hours and has moderate sillage - anything more would risk being too much of a good thing. All the fragrances I've tried from Svensk are beautiful creations and are certainly worthy of a sniff.

Be careful on the sprays. I over did it today and my wife commented that it was cloying. 2 sprays is probably about right.

Much nicer than I thought even though the overall sensation reminds me of hairspray lol. The cherry note with the musk are not overly sweet which I certainly can appreciate when the case with cherry usually turns out otherwise. This is not a fragrance for me tho, I would love it on my girlfriend because an elegant cherry based fragrance is a rare sight and in my opnion, one you should pay some attention to. Good scent overall, all year round also.

A very synthetic, sweet subdued cherry. I am very into cherry frangrances and while I can appreciate this one there are other cherry fragrances I much prefer over this one.

All I get is a smack of sour cherry. It's almost a gourmand. If you like cherry, you'll love this fragrance.

Smells slightly "off" and sickly to me, like someone drank too much cherry cough syrup and threw it up. Disappointed is an understatement.

I find myself pivoting wildly on this one. On some days, I'm like 'Yes, buy it!". Others, I'm like "It's not gonna work". Today I find myself annoyingly on the fence. The cherry is sweet and fruity (which I love), and the ambergris is cold and frigid (which works really well with the fruit), but it is indeed a niche field it's in. I'm not sure if it's femme, industrial or just plain odd. I'm not sure. I'll probs buy it eventually, but it's not a clear yes or no. It's a yes, with a thousand ifs, and also a maybe.

If you're familiar with Twizzlers Cherry Pull n Peel licorice candy, then you know this scent or something reminiscent of it, although this doesn't quite give off a sugary sweet vibe. The woodiness grounds it. Because of that association I find it to be a whimsical wear over its short lifespan on the skin. Synthetic cherry but not juvenile like that in Lolita Lempicka Sweet. Perfect for a summer day when you're not planning to take yourself too seriously.

the start is juicy and fruity, but then the vetiver ruins it. that's right, RUINS it. i'm talking a stewie griffin roo-WIN here. that horrid, dank, moist STANK. i dunno, i don't like that smell at all, it just doesn't work for me. the start had potential, nice and floral/fruity, a mild 'off-wine' feel about it. you know what i mean? like, wine that has gone off, flat, bitter/sour, which was nice and interesting, and then BOOM, all downhill after that...

I finally had the chance to try this out, I splashed out on a sample. I was sure I'd love it because of the cherry. Unfortunately the initial blast of sweet cherry gives way quite quickly to a slightly powdery violet parma fug on me. Lasts fairly long on me

A lovely woody, sweet fragrance, if you like cherry fragrances, you will enjoy this, it sways towards feminine but still unisex, it is cherry dominant but not cheap smelling at all, i got two compliements wearing it so it is worth trying for sure- 7.5/10

According to Svensk parfym website, this has been relaunched August 2025 with some changes. Fjörd is a very elegant and quite dry cherry. Often cherry perfumes are very sweet, but not this. Overall, a very versatile and elegant cherry perfume.

Lovely cherry lasts only 10 minutes or so, then it terns to soapy/ laundry detergent-like scent on me. I didn’t get any sweetness.. Might work for someone who likes Byredo Blanche.

Unfortunately I didn’t get the cherry that others mentioned. On me it was more of a fruit punch scent and the dry down was very medicinal. I couldn’t wait to scrub it off!

Very nice, more like a Maraschino cherry to me, yummy without being too sweet, great creation!

It's very cherry with a little bit of... firewood. Really sweet.
