Prakt

I have a bit of a crush on this perfume house now! So far I've tried En, Prakt, Fröjd and Sadel and each of them has been a "wow" in different ways. Prakt opens on a very green, almost savoury note of cut rhubarb stalks. This is then supplemented by a very realistic blackcurrant leaf note, and a minty tingle that gives an impression of bright, vegetal freshness. I swear I can also smell the tiniest hint of tomato leaf, even though it's not listed. A soft, musky scent is layered over all this, creating the illusion of the smell of soil after rain. The "garden" inspiration absolutely comes through, and quite a few people around me have actually made comparisons to that effect when they smelled Prakt (even though they know nothing about it): "you smell like summer on my grandparents' farm" was my favourite. After a few hours of wear, the perfume mellows out: the greenness never recedes, but it feels warmer, a little less sharp. The soil note becomes more present (I can see where the people complaining that this ends up only smelling like dirt are coming from), a gentle woodiness appears, and I can also detect a strong apple note. I must say that my skin amplifies apple notes to an unbelievable degree, so your mileage may vary on this, but at least on me the apple is unmistakeable: it's very fresh, a little sour, a little bitter, and it has a fleshy, crunchy character. It feels like you were in your garden harvesting rhubarb and pulling weeds and you decided to take a break and pick a slightly under-ripe apple as a snack. As you bite into it, you can smell the rhubarb stalks, crushed vegetation, the soil on your hands, and of course the apple itself. I can't say I specifically smell blackcurrant or gooseberry, but there's a tartness there for sure, as well as a kind of puckering, tannic edge that does remind me of these fruits. It's more about a sensation than a distinct smell, in my opinion. There is also a high likelihood that those notes, which are perhaps a little more delicate, are being cannibalized by the weirdly amplified apple, to the point that all that remains of them is a kind of olfactory ghost. The note pyramid is bound to elicit comparisons with Enchanted Forest by The Vagabond Prince, but in my opinion (and admittedly based on memory alone as I don't have Enchanted Forest on hand) they are very different perfumes: Enchanted Forest is headier, and as far as I recall has a jammy, syrupy, almost alcoholic facet that is completely absent here. Enchanted Forest is, well, about an enchanted forest; Prakt is about your childhood garden. I would like to sample both side by side anyway, out of curiosity, but based on what I remember I don't think they're very similar. L'Ombre dans l'Eau, the other mandatory comparison, might perhaps be closer in feel, but the rose note takes it in a very different direction. It comes across as moodier, more solemn (dare I say a little bit goth?) I've always imagined a garden overrun with brambles when I smell it, something beautiful but just the tiniest bit unsettling (what is that shadow in the water?) Prakt will not take you there. It's joyous and vibrant, which of course must not be confused with "simple" or "boring". In short, Prakt is the memory of working in the rhubarb patch of a beloved garden on a summer day. It's a lot more green than it is fruity, which is something to take into account. It's also very, very realistic, which, again, might be a plus or a minus depending on your personal tastes. There's no attempt to make vegetal smells more perfume-like or more cosmetic; rather it's a celebration of how beautiful they are on their own, with only some clever puzzle work to make sure they are juxtaposed in ways that show them to their best advantage. For sure one of my new favourites.

I’d like to first thank Svensk Parfym for the opportunity to test their first six fragrances. I'm surprised by how much I enjoy Prakt, as I usually struggles with the two prominent notes here - blackcurrant and blackcurrant leaves: the intense greenness of the blackcurrant leaves in Diptyque L'Ombre dans L'Eau is too fierce for my taste, while the jammy sweetness of blackcurrant in many fruity gourmand fragrances is too overwheming for my liking. But in Prakt, the crunchy, vibant vegetal greenness and the ripe (yet not jammy at all) musky sweetness of blackcurrant and its leaves, along with the earthy tartness of rhubarb, are in perfect balance. And the fragrance really conjures a vivid image of fresh berries and rhubarb to me! Prakt turns slightly more woody in the dry down and loses a bit of the dewy feeling in the opening, but it mostly remains this natural, realistic fresh berries and lush vegetations throughout its development and never disintegrate into an abstract clean white musk like so many green fragrances with a promising opening do. I sometimes detect a tomato leaf note, mostly because the vegetal, slightly earthy and wet soil-like greenness and fruity tart-sweetness have minor variation in proportions. If I spray a larger quantity on one sport, there's also a slight burnt note that I encountered and struggled with in certain blackcurrant-heavy fragrances, but it doesn't bother me that much as long as I don't indulge myself too much with the spray. Prakt has a moderate sillage and lasts about 9 hours on my skin. I agree with many previous reviews that Prakt is a very evocative fragrance perfectly capturing the joy of picking berries and rhubarb in a lush garden at the end of summer. I've been searching on and off for a green blackcurrant fragrance that has the natural lush greenness but not too forceful, has the mouthwatering musky sweetness of the berries but not too sugary, and remains layered and engaging without falling apart into a nebulous clean laundry base. Prakt is pretty close to my ideal blackcurrant fragrance. Based on my personal experience with Prakt, I would highly recommend it to fans of blackcurrant and green fragrances.

This amazing fragrance starts with a very natural and realistic sharp, green scent of black currant leaves. It smells kind of like you are rubbing a bunch of leaves between your hands and then you put the hands under your nose and inhale the scent. It also has a very exciting tart scent that I guess is coming from black currant, gooseberry and rhubarb. I can't say that I can sense that it is those tree notes that I get, but it has that lovely tart feeling that you can find in both black currants, goosberries and rhubarbs. This tart scent enhances the sharp green scent and gives it a completely new fruity dimension. Later during the day a slightly dirty scent appears behind all of the green stuff and that makes it feel like you are in a summer garden with newly planted berry bushes. Over it all there is also a wet feeling that comes from the "rain note" that makes is smell like it has just been raining, so all the leaves on the bushes are covered in raindrops that sparkles in the sunlight. This is a very interresting and realistic fragrance that I think some people might have a hard time to like, since it has a really sharp green scent. Just like black currant leaves actually has... But I love it and I am very happy that I ordered a bottle of it! I love when fragrances are so realistic that they really paints a picture in your mind, like this one does.

I went straight here to tell everyone of this scent. This smells of my childhood home and the garden with gooseberries and blackcurrants. It smells like it’s been a hot day and the warm rain came towards the end of the day. Everything is steaming with smell, the currants, the apple trees, the grass. It’s so photorealistic that it took me to that place in my memory straight away. The only other time I experienced this feeling was with Ambre Cashmere by Nikolai that took me to my childhood Christmas home. Now that my feelings are out, let’s talk about how it smells on my skin, and it’s just lovely. It starts with rhubarb and bushes of gooseberries and blackcurrants. It’s very warm from the sun scent. The blackcurrant stays, and then the scent transforms into this wet and rainy apple tree. It’s more on refreshing side. After some time all the plants mix on my skin into this general fruit orchard (for me smells like south of Poland orchard). It ends with sunset warmth again. This first smelling has been very dramatic for me, and I think it’s going to be my very special spring summer scent.

Prakt takes me back to lost summers in my grand parents lush garden in the country side, where we kids picked fresh gooseberries from the bushes, and my grandma made the best lemonades of rhubarbs and black currant from her own back yard. Prakt takes all those memories and puts them in a bottle. The quality of the natural ingredients used here are undeniable. One spray is as if you held all the ingrediants in your hands and smushed them all together. You can really feel the berries, rhubarb and cassis teasing your nose. All the notes blend so well together and creates a different kind of scent that is truly faithful to a swedish summer in the country side. And like the other fragrances from Svensk Parfym, this is no weak sauce. Its easy to tell that the concentration of fragrant oils is really high. Prakt projects and lasts like few other summer scents.

I got a sample of that one. On my to buy list. Photo-realistic nordic berries and greens. I had gooseberries and blackcurrants bushes at my place as a kid in rural Canada and used to snack on them all the time. I remember very well the scent and this is probably the closest you can get in a perfume. The other notes are not so noticeable to me. The rain note probably just amplifies the "greenish wetness" aspect. If smelling like fresh barely ripe gooseberries mixed with some leafs and soil sounds good to you try this. To me this is heaven and brings me back in a rural garden up north. Beats Hermès Jardin line anytime and the scent is much more long-lasting. I can see why this is a perfume from Sweden. Incredible work here.

I am not a huge fan of summer scents as they are all quite boring and very similar with citrus notes dominating from the first start until the very end. I am glad that Svensk Parfym did not try to go the same path as many other houses and that they chose to be different but yet come up with something of high-quality ingredients that perfectly fits the summer weather. I have tried all the three perfumes from this house and this one seems to be my favourite. What I get from Prakt are black currant leaf and some sweet fruity notes which I really love. I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with for the colder winter days/evenings. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 8/10 Longevity: 8/10

I was privileged to test PRAKT perfume. These are some of the most wonderful perfumes I've had the pleasure to meet. Wonder! Gorgeous aroma of summer garden beaded by rain. I never felt something so well balanced, so perfectly matched. When I'm wearing Prakt, the Enchanted Garden opens in front of me. Trygrace on my skin black currant with leaves, the aroma of apples falling on the fertile soil dewed summer rain. Wonderful aroma that enslaved me. After some time rhubarb is in the company of gooseberry. Very suitable for summer and warm autumn. Power on me big, you can see my skin very much like me. Great durability. I felt them even after 10 hours. Scent wonderful <3

This fragrance brings back memories from when i was a little boy going barefoot in wet grass and picking black currant at my grandparents house back in Sweden - a really nice experience. And yes, this smells real, not synthentic or unpleasent in any way. Black currant, rhubarb, wet grass and (menthol?) is the most prominent scents according to me. I was searching for a not to sweet, green scent without a overwhelming citrus note and this is spot on. Scent 9/10 Long 7/10 (six hours on my skin) Sillage 5/10 (skin scent after 1 hour) This is my new spring/summer scent.

I love fresh berries and adore green, herbal and woody fragrances. In my opinion Prakt is a gorgeously garden fresh, herbaceously leafy and realistically fruity (berries) masterpiece novelty with pleasant sillage and great longevity. For me the most prominent notes in the blend are black currant leaves and berries, rhubarb, gooseberries and apple trees still moist after the rain. Not at all too sweet, but rather sharp with just the right amount of tartness, Prakt is my favourite of the first three perfumes from Svensk Parfym :)

WOW! Black currant and rhubarb all over the place! I feel like I ́m in my fathers garden after the rain picking rhubarbs for the pie I ́m going to bake. I totally understand if some people don ́t like it but I LOVE IT! Refreshing and crispy, a very green scent. Feels very organic. Somehow the old classic "ROMA" by Laura Biagiotti runs thru my mind...definitely going to purchase one! Makes me smile and I want to start the day. Very energetic.

Prakt is for me a feeling of joy! Late summer and a walk in the garden in the early morning with that lovely smell of fresch green and apples on the grass falling down under the night, there are black currant, rhubarb and that special rain note in the air. There is also musc, wood and earthy underthones. I really like this! It is a very natural scent.

To me this scent smells just as described. I love it! It’s a dark and dirty green scent and it has a ”after rain” vibe to it. For everyday use I use Mugler Colonge. cause this is a bit heavy for eveyday use (but I’m pretty sensitive when it comes to frags) It projects like crazy and it stays on forever! Buy it. It’s up there with Creed quality wise.

This smells like you’ve entered a Scandinavian forest or garden during or after some pretty intense rain. The most beautiful and creative green scent I have ever smelt. The black currant leaves are such a unique addition that makes the fragrance stand out in a sea of mass appealing scents in 2025. It is also surprisingly fresh from the rain notes.

I get a lot of black currant leaves with this one! Reminds me strongly of picking berries in my garden when I grew up. It's definitely more green than fruity for me, and barely sweet. I love layering it with a vanilla though - that goes so well with it! It's fairly long lasting on me, and I can smell it all day long.

Prakt is my absolute favorite from Svensk Parfym. The most prominent note on my skin is blackcurrant leaves. Although, the dry-down has no trace of it, instead it's an almost sensual fragrance. I believe it is the rain notes in combination with the earthy notes. It's superb!

Prakt is a day in the garden. Fresh Black currant leafs lays on a bed of earth and wood together with sweetsour rhubarb and gardenberries. A really fresh summerscent with long lasting longevity. I love Prakt. It's my favouritescent at the moment. 5/5

Got so excited with this new launch that I wanted to spread the word. Love the cassis... leafy... rhubarb... musk/ambergris...wood, musk. Great combo! Prakt has great staying power on my skin and clothes. A good +8 hours. Sillage is a good 1-2 m.

Such a stunning and unique fragrance. Very natural and refreshing. When ever I wear this fragrance, I feel like having bathed in a wood heated sauna by the lake in the summer, surrounded by the most fragrant scandinavian garden. Big love!

I bought this Swedish masterpiece. The fragrance is amazing—like dark earth beneath a blackcurrant bush right after the rain. Stunning, rare, and the Arabs haven't ripped it off yet.

Very realistic, leafy, but fruit is hiding behind the bushes. The fruit is fresh and tart, not shampooey or jammy. Perfect in its simplicity, reminiscent of walks in the wild. Love!

Best in the line.. Love that fruity green in Prakt. It has great sillage and projection. But my taste prefer a little bit more sweetness in it. 8.5/10

I've never had a fragrance smell "vegetal" on me before, but now when people describe the effect on here I at last understand what they're talking about. Prakt is the third deluxe sample I have tried from Svensk Parfym, and it's the oddest one so far - because it's so different from any other perfume I've ever come across. I admit that it had only really been in the last couple years or so that I have branched out beyond the designer fragrances that are sold in department stores. I've smelled floral, spicy, citrus, fougere, green... but not even the "green" frags ever had an effect that I would've thought of as "vegetal." So Prakt is genuinely new to me, in this respect. As soon as the spray hit my skin, I got a blast of something tart that I'm fairly certain is the rhubarb (since blackcurrant is usually sweeter on my skin). In the first two hours what has emanated from my skin is mostly tart rhubarb, a watery kind of soft musk (that Fragrantica lists here as "rain notes"), and soil. But despite the presence of soil, this is not a "soiled" / "dirty" / "skanky" fragrance - you don't smell unclean. It's more like... a rooftop garden in the middle of the city. So far, all of the Svensk frags I've tried (Ljus, Prakt, and the amazing Virke) have one quality in common: refreshing.

I have been waiting for a long time to come across a fragrance that gives me the WOW factor and finally i have found it!! This is very unique and gorgeous! it has an addictive vibe to it, you want to keep smelling your wrist to see what happens next! its tart, tangy, slightly sweet, wet! love it i don't get the soil part of it, to me its all about gooseberry and rhubarb with blackcurrant leaf in background! Hnerik new release LJUS is a must try if you love prakt, it has a similar scent profile as in TARTNESS and green but very citrusy! been so impressed with his scents, out of all his releases there is ONLY one am not a fan of and for me, that's impressive! TRY LJUS OR JUST GET THE 3 X 5ML DELUXE SAMPLE PACK OF LJUS, FROJD AND IDYLL! YOU WONT REGRET IT-- 9/10

This is a difficult perfume to wear. It is beautiful and zesty on paper but I am not sure I enjoy wearing it, or if so not often. It is gorgeously green and tart. I think it is a nice artistic scent, but I guess it's not something that would hook me over and over, as, for example, Girl of Now has hooked me. I know that this is comparing apples and oranges but I am just saying a successful perfume is not merely a gorgeous scent but ideally something that becomes comfortable during many moods. Interestingly along with my blind buy of this one they sent me a 5 ml (spray yay) sample of Virke and that one I think I would be more comfortable wearing for several days in a row in Spring/ Summer.

Prakt is the scent of the garden to the house I grew up in. My mum had a great interest in gardening, so she grew all sorts of berries, fruit and vegetables. One of the highlights of the summer was to run barefoot on the dark soil to pick black currants. The berries would become condiments and the leaves were left to dry in the kitchen in order to become tea. Prakt is all of this. Prakt is a very realistic black currant, initially with the leaves, then the berries and the soil it grows in comes to play. On my skin that's it, except for the woodsy dry-down. It's beatifully made, not sweet, nor overly tart. This is good quality stuff.

I recently got the chance to try all of the Svensk Parfym fragrances and so far, this is a favorite. It reminds me a bit of The Vagabond Prince Enchanted Forrest (as others seem to think as well)but more pleasant, and without that kind of sharp note I experienced in EF. Prakt is a lot like taking a walk in the forest during a rather humid pre-rain summer evening, with the scent of different sweet-tart berries in the air. The rhubarb makes it stay on the sweet but not overly sweet side, and the earthy notes combined with the blackcurrant leaves makes it smell "dark green" and just forestlike. I like it a lot. Well done Svensk Parfym!

Lots and lots of greenery. Mostly leaves. It’s more leaves than fruit here. The black currant leaves take center stage and they’re supported by rhubarb and a teeny tiny whif of gooseberry. I didn’t know gooseberry even had a smell, but there you go. It stays linear throughout the day and it will last you a full 8-10 hours, admittedly very close to your skin but it’s there and it won’t go away. Wonderful stuff! It avoids smelling like cat p*ss as black currant leaves have a tendency to do and instead just feel vibrantly alive and young and fresh. Did I say wonderful?

Prakt is an interpretation of a perfect Swedish garden with currants, rhubarb, apples and cool rain. First impression on my skin is red berries. Lingonberries possibly? Currants. Apple. A drop of rain. I want to pour this over ice and drink it. It's Schweppes Russchian dressed as perfume. After some time a light muskiness appears. It's a bit too clingy on my skin. Prakt could be an alternative for those who prefer unsweetened berries on a light base instead of modern sweet, patchoulibased blackcurrant-scents.

Imagine it’s an early summer morning, and it has rained during the night. You step outside a blooming, Scandinavian garden and everything is dewy. Every fruit, leaf and flower has gotten its scent intensified by the water and smells incredibly crisp and present — this is what this perfume smells like! Perfect wear for daytime in the spring 🫶🏼

Smells great, and reactions from people at work were very good. Not much of rain and earth notes though, most of the smell is black currant-rhubarb-gooseberry combo. Wish it was tad louder and longer lasting (4-5 h for me). I wore it with Philosykos the other day to compliment the tart fruits with some fig and it was glorious.

Lovely summer perfume with strong clear notes without being overpowering. Long-lasting. A fresh simple fragrance that avoids the pitfalls of common denominator citrus and musk so prevalent in today's perfumes. Quite sweet and original. The impression I get is swedish pop-music interpretation of forest in perfume.

Out of the three Svensk Parfym scents i got to try out, this is the one I like the most, it starts off with a blast of black currant leaves and then moves over to more Scandinavian berries and softens down to a fruity musky fresh lovely scent for early summer nigths. Really like it!

Really nice green scent. Not loud but well balanced and rather versatile. The berry leaves note makes it somewhat reminscent of l'ombre dans l'eau but as there is no rose in Prakt it is a very different scent. Well worth giving a try.

In my opinion Prakt kind of smells like walking in the forest and picking blueberries while it is raining. Very pleasant, the best I have tried to far, very Swedish scent! Good job Svensk Parfym, you did good.

A very realistic, natural smelling fragrance. The blackberry leafs are pungent and dry but later on become more and more juicy. I love the smell as it ́s earthy, green and fruity at the same time and it projects well in the heat. The longivity is great on me and I would love a full bottle. Magnificent!!

$110 for a 30 ml seems crazy to me. Very light scent that stays close to the skin. It shouldn’t be priced so high imo

Quite an odd fragrance. It also has two notes I'm not particular thrilled about: Rhubarb and Black Currant -- but for some reason they seem to work accordingly. I can see this being a rainy day fragrance, but nothing more. Leans feminine but I'd be turned off if I smelled this on a woman as it reminds me of dirt. Picture a mature woman, out on her garden, pulling Rhubarb roots out on gloomy day. It begins to drizzle and the rain moistens the dirt underneath her. That's what I get from this fragrance.

After multiple tests I can say that it smells like pure celery with a dash of cilantro on me. Sits close to skin for 2-4 hours. I get zero fruity notes and no wetness or rain. I assume it's just my weird skin chemistry and kudos to everyone this perfume works for but that ain't me.

smells just like PdM Perseus, but without a touch of citrus. i am really disappointed with this one

I see that I have wandered into the guys part of the database, according to the votes, so, hello! First of all, I'd like to thank fragrantica editors and Svensk Parfym for doing a giveaway, and I'm grateful for receiving a sample. On impression: aggressive, radical, someone who commands attention, definitely much more of a traditional manly perfume, it could also work for girls who like to challenge social norms On the scent: it starts off with a pungent green opening of leaves and a hint of fresh fruit. Then the musk starts to peek through the greenness. Only in the dry down does it start to smell like after the rain. The final notes are musky and humid. On packaging: I got the 5 ml sample. The sprayer deliver 4 to 5 times the amount of what I usually get from full bottle sprayers. On performance: partly due to the generous amount delivered by the sprayer, this is, in my modest opinion, a beast mode perfume. I had dinner and went to swim for half an hour and showered, and I can still smell the muskiness. Personally, I was so ready to hate it in the beginning, partially because I'm new to the aromatic group (I'm a huge sweet floriental fan, um, hello!), partially because it smells like a dude. The greenness was a bit too much for me at first try. I wish it's more of a Jo Malone strength perfume, but I can appreciate that some people will like the enormous sillage. I'm happy to have something that let me get out of my comfort zone, and I'm excited for the layering possibilities it brings.

A great unisex-scent. On my skin I get Black currant leaf, black currant and woodsy notes. Not sweet black currant, but a great and a bit dark black currant notes.Elegant and longlasting with a nice projection from my skin. A must have and a must try. After 2 hours Prakt becomes sweeter and my first thought is - similar to Lalique Amethyst, but Amethyst is more sweet. En superb unisex-doft. På min hud får jag mest svartvinbärsblad och svarta vinbär med träiga noter i basen. En osöt svartvinbärsnot som är ljuvlig och aningens mörk. Elegant och hållbar med en trevlig utstrålning från huden. Ett måste och en doft man måste prova på. Efter ett par timmar blir Prakt lite sötare och första tanken är - den är lik Lalique Amethyst - men Amethyst är än mer söt.

Beautiful - as I think others have mentioned if you like Jo Malone blackberry and bay you may like this. I love the tomato/blackberry leaf / tannin-y blackberry of that fragrance. But sadly with Blackberry and Bay the whole thing has disappeared within the hour on me. On me Prakt has more depth, longevity and a leafy rhubarb note. Not like a lollipop fruit scent but like going out and picking fruit from the ground. I’m enjoying spraying this around my neck in warmer weather and getting little soft hits of that throughout the day. I’ve bought it so as I’m stuck indoors and wishing for the summer break I can imagine being out in the garden or an allotment. The shipping is remarkable too - international shipping arrived the next day.

Strong, sharp (but not unpleasantly so) fresh blackcurrant in the opening. Rhubarb joins soon and never gets as sour as rhubarb can be in perfume. Strong, vivid colors. Berries. Sweet, but in a more "natural" way, not candy like. Too sweet and sharp for me, but I'd much rather have people around wear this than the usual synthetic candy "fruity" perfumes. Does remind me of Enchanted Forest, but Prakt smells like berries, not jam. I see no likeness to L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, comparing them next to each other.

A fantastic twist on Elysium. Very green and realistic opening with leaves and you can smell the twigs and soil. You can fell the materials used are top quality. Then as it dries down it’s nice and fruity and definitely reminiscent of Elysium but this one has a beautiful green apple and more fruity overall. Smelling the sillage is incredible. A stunning fragrance that’s heavily slept on! If you love Elysium you MUST try this, trust me. Elysium is the “blue” and Prakt is the “green” version.

I agree that the perfume smells like a summer at your grandparent's. Green, but not sharp blackurrant and gooseberry mixed with slighty sweet, powdery blackberry. The dry down is a bit musky and woody, oakmoss mayby? There is some similarity to Blackberry&Bay, however Prakt is much better quality with tart orchard fruit instead of a cheap grapefruit note. Personally I find the perfume very well made, but a bit too nostalgic for everyday wear.

Fresh black currant! Instantly transported me 15-20 years back in time - YSL In Love again has got the same sharp, fresh black currant note, ILA is sweeter though. Anyway, I put a tiny drop on my arm before going to sleep. Woke up 7 hours later, PRAKT is still there. As I'm starting to activate and getting to senses the scent is waking up as well. Now it has this this aromatherapy vibe, calming. Totally unisex, comforting and great longevity.
