Al Amaken

A very pretty, long-lasting and sweet fruitchuli. Sweet but not cloying and it’s a good alternative if FlowerBomb is out of your budget. To me Smells a bit like Jessica Simpson Fancy after some years of shelf life, when the Vanilla gets really concentrated. Al Makaen lasts a good 6/7 hours on my skin with moderate projection and decent longevity. Although not very unique I think this fragrance worth your money. @deepgreenbeauty

There is a spicy note. A fresh spritz on blotter smells warm and spicy. As soon as I smelled it, I made a connection with Clinique's Beyond Rose. I am wondering if Al Amaken contains pepper notes like Beyond Rose?

I loved this perfume because of its longevity. All my scarves smelled like it, some even after washing. Sadly, I can't buy them in my country that easily.

Well, to begin with, I've never learned to like neither La vie est belle nor Tresor la Nuit. They are simply too much of everything for me. ;-D But this one, I do like. I'm very much a floral lover and can go floral paired with a soft gourmand touch (e.g. berries) or musk, but not with patchouli. My skin emphasizes patchouli to a point where it is the only note left. So if you are like me, don't be afraid to try this scent. I would suggest spraying _from a distance_, max. both writs (or elsewhere, but max. two sprays). You get the most wonderful flowery-sweet smell perfect for late autumn/early winter. My guess is, when the temperature goes below 0 (degrees Celsius) this will only get better. I smell passion fruit, vanilla, and a hint of cassis and citrus at the beginning. There is a combinaison of floral notes out of which I would say rose could be the winner. This is a very sweet scent, but doesn't get cloying if sprayed with care. What I'm so very happy about is, that I won't end up with nothing but patchouli after a half an hour, but am actually able to smell the sweetness and flowers all the way until the scent fades. Longevity is great as well as sillage and therefore spray with care (!). The bottle will last you a long time. Affordable quality.

I like the scent of this a lot, and I credit it with finally getting me to like a “sweet” scent. The bottle is cool, and the price is hard to beat. BUT...after wearing it many times I have to say it just doesn’t last very long, which is surprising given how strong it goes on. I don’t think I’ll repurchase it, in part because Swiss Arabian has several scents that are similar but longer lasting. I’m planning to go with Wajd next time. It’s less fruity, but otherwise in the same vein. Edit: Wajd is also great and definitely longer lasting, but it lacks the fruitiness that makes Al Amaken great. I did a test twice comparing Al Amaken to LVEB and Flowerbomb, and surprisingly it outlasts Flowerbomb and is roughly equivalent to LVEB.

This is beautiful. It's much more demure and "western" than some of the other now iconic fragrances from Swiss Arabian like Casablanca or Florence. It's softer, sillage is modest and it doesn't last quite as long as the others. So, it makes for a good introduction to the house. I have Flowerbomb and I don't find it a dupe. There are sweet florals, yes, but there's a more pronounced musk in Al Amaken. For the price, it's a lovely fragrance that works well in most situations and will appeal to almost anyone.

Don't see orange blossom listed, but that's what I smell in this fragrance. It's a nice fruity floral, reminiscent of La Vie Est Belle, but not as strong. Enjoyable, but not unique. Very pretty bottle. Moderate projection and moderate longevity.

Strong Patchouli and sweet florals...It's a Flowebomb dupe for sure, also smells like One Direction's Between Us but less spicy...I actually prefer Al Amaken

A modest fragrance, enjoyable, non offensive. The passion fruit is a team player and never gets funky through the entire olfactory journey but is present. This fragrance on my skin is intimate mid to finish. Not a beast mode or heady in any way for me. It does have a safistication about the scent and perfect for close environments. I am on bottle #2, great bang for buck. The musk is present but not overdone, nothing in this fragrance is overdone. Summed up it's a gentle, moderate performance fragrance, easy to layer with.

I used to eat tones of passion fruits when I was living in Paris, and I detect the note at the opening of this fragrance, But it is so ephemeral! I wish this note last longer. Otherwise, it is a nice sweet fragrance, nothing original but not boring either. Update, projection is pretty weak, I just sprayed the entire 3 ml on me and it's just the right amount. I normally spray 2 or 3 spray of oriental perfumes. If I had done that with Mugler I would have died.

The notes are all wrong on this one. I detect heavy praline, strawberry, patchouli, and vanilla.. an ultra sweet fruitchouli. It is like a more syrupy, slightly burnt version of La Nuit Tresor. It is also reminiscent of Flowerbomb but fruitier. Projection is beastly! The bottle is a heavy, shiny aluminum thing with a magnetic cap. The jury is still out for me on this one, it may actually be too sweet for me and I usually like sweet! Update: the burnt caramel strawberry goodness of this scent won me over. Love it.

Absolutely love this scent. On my skin, it takes about 1/2 hr to develop into this sweet but not cloying deliciousness. Lasts and projects really well on me. I am very disappointed in what’s happening to many designer fragrances with this IRFA ridiculousness. Great thing to discover middle eastern fragrances that smell divine.

It is beautiful,absolutely beautiful,unisex it is safe for man to wear it,,,i have sample bottle of this perfume,they have similar scent to Shumoukh Al Ghutra but this one is more projective then Shumoukh... Longevity 10/10 Sillage 10/10 Projection 10/10 Scent 10/10

I sprayed this on my wrist and maniacally smelled it over and over again, thinking I accidentally picked up LVEB. If you're a fan of LVEB, you'll adore this.
