This was a blind buy based on the previous reviews. I ordered two more fragrances in the same order (check Rasasi Entebaa and Rasasi Pour Lui 9325, seriously good frags). While I knew what to await from the Rasasis frags (lots of reviews and great experience with their products), this was a pure risk (20€). Oh yes, no regrets, no reason for regrets, I would not regret paying twice as much, because this hits me right in the feels. This reminds me of a herb I would pick in the meadows of my beautiful country when I was a little kid. Every evening I would brew a delicious infusion of this herb for my parents. Its called wild thyme or breckland thyme and it has a strong lemony aroma with a herbal backbone. I am pretty sure it is the lemon and sage from the top notes, because the head definitely is citrusy-herbal 50:50. After some 15 minutes the citrusy-herbal notes fade a bit and what you get is a balsam-leather-tonka HEAVEN! When writing this review, my nose was quite fatigue as I tested all the three frags after getting home from a freezy cold winter out there, so I cant really tell you what the sillage and longevity is, either way, this is a warm weather fragrance, so I will update this soon. EDIT: so I can confirm the performance is quite good. The sillage is above average, but longevity is better, I can smell it on my wrists 14 hours after application as a nice skin scent. I believe sillage will increase and longevity decrease in warmer weather Btw the bottle is sooo beautiful For now, the scent gets 9 out of 10, 8.5 if Im not sentimental. This is another Arabian gem

Al Basel is Excellent Perfume from Swiss Arabian Perfumes. Its Citrus, Spicy & Ambery are Words to Describe it. It starts with Citrus & Spicy then transforms to Spicy Ambery. longenvity is V Strong. Its a Underrated Summer Gem. I call this Gem a Citrus Bomb from Swiss Arabian The Top begins with a Citrus as it has Lemon & Sage note followed by a Spicy, It has Balsam, Cardamom, Cinnamon & Praline as Heart Notes and Base of Woody Ambery as it has Rosewood, Patchouli, Leather & Amber as Base Notes. It smells Strong Citrus & Spicy in Beginning & Ambery, Leather is not strong and Price is Little High compared other Middle Eastern Perfumes of these Range, My Opinion is its should be little less so that i can take more market share. Projection & Longevity are V Good. Presentation & Bottle is V Good. Sprayer of Perfume pours out Decent of Juice. My Rating is 4.0 out of 5.

Very fresh; it is green, herbal, fruity "mainly mango that I smell" & a tiny bit of woods, sprayed it around 7:00 am this morning; it is 2:00 pm and I can still smell it, I love it.

Indeed , it's too synthetic. A pain for the nose, impossible to focus on any note. Shaghaf Oud (& Abyad) doesnt have this overdose of Ambroxan or same bleech note and is even pretty good.

A very animalic version of Black XS. Not for the faint of heart. Not a blind-buy. Very niche crowd oriented, but not my niche kind of crowd. Update 10/2025: Gifted this to a friend that was looking for a "Black XS - Rabanne" clone. I remembered this one was sort of a Black XS inspiration with added animalics/leather. He loved it. And I have to admit it smells better on him (away from me). Cemented a lesson from this one, a lesson that I tend to forget every so often when reviewing scents: every scent reacts different to different body chemistry - and what is hedious for some could be delightful to others.
