Amaali

A wonderfully delicious fragrance for the romantically nostalgic. In a world of redundant gourmands, Amaali is the antidote. She's an instant classic, if I may be so bold. A preface: I am not someone with a nose for powdery scents -- I find them nauseating and rancid -- but I must concede to the reality that this fragrance is powder done right. The powder notes in Amaali are neither chalky nor gritty, neither dense nor dated, but rather milky and opalescent. I am reminded of edible tapioca pearls -- just as round, rich, creamy. Amaali is liquid cashmere, soft ice cream. She lacks the rancidity of antiquated perfume decanters filled with amber liquid. This perfume is pure comfort. The top notes, for me, are not there. I personally do not detect any hints of fruitiness whatsoever, but that is not a bad thing. For the mood this fragrance evokes, I find vanilla cream more appetizing than citrus sorbet. The jasmine, however, exists delicately in the background. It plays nicely with the coziness of the rose and lends a mysterious depth and complexity to what could have been a very flat note. I hesitate to say that this fragrance dries down in the traditional sense. The behavior of the oil on the skin is more akin to the diffusion of a fragrance oil warmer. Whereas an atomizer spray can feel astringent and cold upon application, Amaali jumps straight into the warmth of the middle and base notes. As the oil absorbs into the skin and begins to diffuse, the scent dives deeper into the depths of vanilla and caramel with just a touch of amber. The olfactory story of this fragrance evokes a yearning for bygone times which may have never existed at all. Amaali is the rosiness of the glasses of retrospection. She is the haziness of a memory. She is the curious austerity of forgotten portraits; and, yet, she is very much alive in the present. Amaali is the fragrance to wear for both the most momentous and mundane of occasions. Amaali invites you to wear that red lipstick, to put on that dress, and to step out with confidence.

OMG! How I love this CPO! Tangy lemon, apple and pineapple start things off with a fresh and fruity how-do-you-do! This oil develops slowly into the fragrant floral heart, but the fruitiness somehow swirls around lightly in the background, the whole time. It's the dry down, however, that's the REAL star of this show! Vanilla, caramel and amber add multitudes of depth. The musk, cedar and sandalwood keep it all fresh and clean, even a little soapy?! Amaali performs so well with my skin chemistry, that she never loses strength, never becomes too sweet or cloying. She's a chameleon, as a matter of fact. The more you move, the more your body temp rises, the more fragrantly she seems to radiate! I'm looking forward to testing her endurance in the heat of a summer's day. I've found that Amaali and her beautifully green, slightly sweet sister, Rasheeqa, are desert flowers that both react well to heat. They both last well over 8 hours and are more than fbw, in my book. Not much is needed, of course. I add a few drops to my ultra-moisturizing, unscented body cream and off we go to tackle the world and receive numerous comments of "Oh, you smell sooo good!"

Got this amazing perfume oil today from the fragrance kiosk at the mall. It's so sweet, so floral, the lemon is so delicious. Stayed for a good 4 hours and is still lingering on my skin, and perfumes don't stay long on me at all! I love love love it! The drydown for me is not very complex, it smells almost the same with vanilla and caramel lending a warm depth as time passes. The bottle is super pretty as well and tbh, was what attracted me to the fragrance first. But the perfume in itself is divine and worth a buy. It is expensive as I thought the bottle held 30ml, but alas, it was just 15ml. Edit: I'm not sure if the heat of summer has anything to do with it, but I'm starting to get a hair oil-y smell now. It is most dominantly powdery with some rose. The lemon has disappeared over time. Now it's reminiscent of Lux soap :/ it's a shame because I loved it when I purchased it. Not sure when I'd be able to finish the rest of the juice but hopefully it evolves for the better during the next few months. I'll be keeping the bottle as a decant for other perfumes.

LOVE. I hated it at first - I could only smell the powdery floral notes that gave a granny vibe. But after giving it a chance, it really grew on me. It's a feminine clean scent that makes me feel girly and fresh, like I just stepped out of the shower. It has a bit of soapiness to it, as well as smelling like delicious tart fruits. And of course it's powdery and slightly musky with a sweetness that's not too overwhelming or sickening. It's a great everyday scent and lasts long. It also layers well with other fruity scents I have. I would even wear it to the gym, but I worry it's too strong. It's just so beautiful and a great price with a gorgeous ornate bottle. It's funny because I only got this after seeing Layali Rouge on TikTok & it being sold out. After reading reviews, I had a good feeling Amaali was more my vibe than Layali Rouge. I may still try to pick up a bottle of Layali Rouge but the hype seems to have inflated its price.

Ok I'm not an expert i just realize about notes couple of years ago. However I have been wearing perfume since I was maybe 3rd grade. To my nose before even knowing the notes I smell caramel and powdery musk. Not soapy but powdery, like Johnson & Johnson talc. Then the caramel are not liquid but the candy caramel. I have my oil since late 2019 so I don't know if mine are gotten potent but to my nose it lasted for atleast 14 hours now. Before I used to use 4 - 8 drops of this and spread it all over my clothes and it only lasted 5 -6 hours max. However lately I wear it at 4:30 am and by 8pm it still strong and I only spread it on my pulse point like inner elbows and my pulse near my hand. It does resemble to my nose some aspect of Delina Exclusif. I think it's that strong powdery rose.

Oh hell yes - this perfume oil. I saw it at a discounted price and came to Fragrantica to decide if I should blind buy. These reviews were a little mixed but I saw the word "soapy" and "powdery" and "rose" enough times to convince me to buy it (3 notes that I love). This did not disappoint. Actually I was worried about the fruity notes and the caramel/vanilla as these notes are usually not my type, but nope. I get only the slightest bit of vanilla and maybe a little touch of something sweet. (I wouldn't classify this as a gourmand by any means), just enough to give an otherwise serious fragrance an element of playfulness. The sweet components are balanced out by the musk. This is a soapy, clean, musky green rose with lots of powder. Super feminine and elegant.

Starts off as a sweet, bright mocktail of mainly pineapple juice (the canned kind), a squeeze of lemon (makes it very 'clean') and a drop of vanilla extract. Add a caramel drizzle to that. It does not smell like shampoo though - the powdery musk, sandalwood and jasmine, which comes quickly after, keeps it from being that. It's very much a super feminine scent. Overall, it has that sweet fruity aspect mixed in with a clean, soapy, lemony one. Such a delightful and happy scent (as are the other 2 from the Layali line). This is my new "everyday" scent. I love that it's a concentrated oil, it lasts forever and projects like a BEAST! I recommend this for everyday use for those who love gourmand florientals.

I swear... I did not expect it to be so breathtakingly aristocratic. Thin ice, smoothest silky touch of the light fabric, extremely well blended cocktail of olfactive feelings. I have never liked oil based perfumes. But this one... OMG. How did this miracle appear in my life for its cheapest price ever? White feather with the golden edge calligraphically encrypts its beautiful tattoo on your gentle neck. Smooth (again), a little bitterish powder (not in an old lady way), a hint of rosy jam, no, I don’t have enough words to describe this magic on my skin. I ordered 3 more arabic perfumes after this blind buy. Will keep you posted.

This is a really nice fruity rose scented bar of soap. Definitely has me bringing my wrist to my nose for extra sniffs, but I'm not sure I'd want other people to think of me as smelling this way. I can smell the figurative surfactants in this. Or maybe I would. I'm on the fence about it. Really nice though. I can see the Delina comparison. There's no lychee but i think the fruit notes they chose combine together to give a similar feeling. It also has a similar rose musk cedar vanilla situation but the caramel, amber and sandalwood give it an extra yumminess

To be honest, the scent reminds me a lot of Lux bar soap (?), but in a good way. It has a clean, pleasant, light floral scent, slightly musky to my nose, and it is very feminine. I left this scent overnight and when I woke up, I woke up to a beautiful scent - the kind that makes you ask, what's that??? Wow is it really you, Amaali? I think the comment by SuzScents is correct -the dry down is the star. I really like it and I would wear this. It was a good blind buy.

Smells beautiful. Number one SUPER SOAPY. It’s not a gourmand despite the vanilla note being up there. It’s a soapy and sweet but floral and just a tad bit creamy. It’s also pretty powdery as well. The notes list is pretty spot on but the scent evolves so it starts fruity and floral with powder than evens out with the vanilla, musk, and caramel etc. Overall it smells sooo good and the bottle is beautiful. Lasts an moderate time and projects well. 9/10

May consider making this my everyday scent 🥹🥹 This smells so comforting as someone who likes powdery fragrance. Very good balance of sweet and powdery and I can't nitpick on anything. Last a good 6-8 hours on me and the bottle is so cute! I see a lot of boos and it is just sad that many people do not enjoy this beaut like I do. In that case, I would suggest to test before buying. I did so, and I love it since the first sniff.

this is a super comforting vanilla baby powder scent. i wear this at home and i struggle to refrain from sniffing my wrists every five seconds, it’s so addictive. it’s not a typical edible gourmand scent, the fruity top notes are very powdery and the vanilla comes through after sitting on the skin for a while. it’s a very calm sweet fragrance, to me it smells like a young daycare worker with a gentle and reserved demeanour.

I put my review up about a week ago and it's gone now. I love this perfume oil! It's powdery, fruity and floral. It doesn't have honey listed but it has a honeyed vibe to me. It sits close to the skin and lasts 4-6 hours, longer on clothes. I enjoy wearing it when I go to bed. There is something so luxurious and calming about applying the oil and then getting waifs of it while I read a book as I get ready to fall asleep.

I've had this for about 6 weeks and it's one of my most reached for perfumes! I love the soft powdery rose mixed with fruit scent it gives. I also love that it sits close to the skin. It's like a gentle hug. As I stayed before, I wear this before bed. I also wear it on days off from work when I'm doing some relaxing, pampering self care. I wish this was in spray form! I'm still getting used to using perfume oils.

I enjoyed the perfume oil. It gives off a feminine mood and a powdery undertone. It smells of flowers but also has a hint of vanilla too. It is worth the hype, but there are so many other options for a stronger and better perfume. I'll also say it's pretty long-lasting, and you would probably never run out of it. I will give this perfume an 8.5/10.

a bit strange...BUT SO BEAUTIFUL. at first, it smells to me a bit like tea tree oil, if not a more pleasant version? however, it very quickly fades to this gorgeous, realistic floral with these sweet undertones. this smells like a luxurious flower garden (or maybe, what i'd imagine the owner of said flower garden to smell like. rich).

Randomly saw this at TJ Maxx. The box was open so I gave it a whiff and immediate bought it with no knowledge of the notes. It smells like a musky, powdery rose to me. Just divine. If you don't like rose, maybe skip this. But the rose isn't overpowering to me. I got the perfume oil so I'm sure it will last.

firstly can we talk about how GORGEOUS this bottle is. my grandma and i gasped at it when i unboxed it LOL. but i love this so bad ahh its really soft, powdery, and clean. it also lasts on the skin for a while i literally use 2 soaps and a scrub for my shower routine and i can still smell it on me no lie.

I agree with all the comments stating that this is a more powdery scent, however I find it to be much sweeter than powder. It’s a non offensive light scent. I feel it’s more to be worn in spring/ summer months. What this scent reminds me of is the 90’s B&B scent Cotton Blossom. It’s a pleasant scent.

Sparkly, effervescent, pink floral wood. Has same dna as Jess Simpson “Fancy” but less vanilla. Layers well with white musk, or patchouli oil. Can be worn anywhere, smells feminine and classy. Good balance of sparkle, musk, pink floral and a tender white wood. Lasts forever, highly recommend.

If you like the notes just get this!!!! You can not go wrong. It is very strong. So be careful. You can layer above Swiss Arabian Casablanca. Gorgeous!!!

This honestly reminds me of a mature version of Rose Jane from lush beautiful smell not an overwhelming powder note

Fruity. Rose. Candy. This scent is like rose petal Turkish delight. I’m in love 😍

This scent is okay at best when worn alone. It smells like how you’d imagine any typical grandma perfume to smell. It’s not terrible but not my thing. The initial scent is very powdery and then you get a clean musky rose and slightly woody scent once it dries down. It is strong which I find typical of Arabian perfume oils, so a dab on your wrists and maybe your neck if you don’t mind the scent will be enough. It projects pretty far in my opinion about arms length. This scent would probably be alright if layered with something but I’m not sure what..I also don’t want to try lol. It makes a pretty decor! EDIT: After letting the perfume sit for two months it smells a lot better. I get a blast of fruit when I first apply it which is nice and then that musky woody floral smell comes through. The powdery note is still there but has died down and is not overpowering. It’s quite pretty actually! I’ve started reaching for it more.

A VERY strong scent. Omg I was coughing/holding my breath a little when I applied it. Apply a little at a time, so you're not overwhelmed. When I applied it, it had a strong apple laundry detergent scent. Then after about 20-30 minutes, the jasmine and rose notes came in and it got sooo much better. After it finally dried down, it did smell "sweet", but more like laundry with sugar added (if that makes sense lol). The lemon note thankfully isn't present despite it being listed here. It is definitely a fresh scent. No vanilla or caramel is present either. I actually applied it around 5 pm earlier, went to sleep & woke up at 11pm and it was still so damn strong on me. It stayed strong until it began to fade in the 8 hr mark, so it is very long lasting. This is NOT a gourmand but it will transform whatever other perfume you layer it with. I applied Bare Vanilla Luxe on top of it and it smelled so unique and delicious!!

Amaali is lovely clean, easy going and a little soapy, fresh and a little floral. I find it casual and soothing if it lingers on your skin when going to bed. The soapiness does give off a certain bitterness. If you're someone who grew up with Dove soap bars in your household, Amaali may hold some appeal for you but it's not for everyone. I don't notice any of the fruits that are listed here and the sweet notes like vanilla and caramel are very detached from the clean soapy part. I find they're buried deep under the other notes and you wouldn't notice it unless it was pointed out. I'm less experienced with fragrance oils, but the lasting power is moderate. I expect little projection and silage from oils so I'm very happy with the performance. It's lovely for anyone, perfect just fresh out of the shower or your self care routine.

This baby's sillage smells like Delina, but with a softer touch. The opening notes are a bit pungeant and citrusy, but it doesn't bother my nose, it's on the limit just before bothering. 20 minutes after applying on my skin, smells just like delina but softer, more powdery. This is a more mature take on the OG Delina, I can see myself rocking this scent in the fall, spring and summer seasons. Great for layering with Delina La Rosée to seal it on your skin and make it long lasting. I would use for layering with other Floral Woody Musks like Narciso Rodríguez For Her EDP, Pure Musc and Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely, to make them more long lasting (since they are in the same scent family).

This was a blind buy and for around $20, I got a very pretty oil. I've been lucky to find a lot of good quality oils for inexpensive prices from companies like Al-Haramain, Al-Rehab, Orientica, and Swiss Arabian. In Amaali, once it settles in, I get the top fruits, mostly pineapple and lemon with the rose and a touch of jasmine. There's some vanilla to carry it through to the bottom of caramel and sandalwood. The caramel isn't overly sweet and the amount of musk is well done. I get moderate sillage and longevity and think it could be worn year-round, though it might be a little heavy for the heat of summer. Very nice, easy-to-like scent. Also love the floral element on the bottle.

I adore layali rouge (even tho it gives me a rash where applied🥲) and wanted to try the others in the series. This one did not disappoint. It smells like an elevated baby powder scent without being too heavy on the rose note. It tickles my nose in a pleasant way and has decent sillage. It's floral without being soapy, sweet without being strong, and spicy without being heavy. It's pretty linear from what I can tell right now but I don't really mind that. I recommend if you like baby powder type scents, and I feel the vanilla note could be enough to scratch a gourmand itch without it slipping into full on edible pastry or candy territory.

Tbh I bought this mainly for the bottle, which is ABSOLUTELY gourgeous! 🩷 I feel like a royalty from an ancient land when applying this👸🏻 So no regrets on buying for that matter. Huge let down is the inital smell (yes, smell!) of this oil: very grannyish, piercing powdery rose. I typically love rose scents, but something went terribly wrong here. But what came to me as a big suprise are the base notes, they are so heavenly! 😍 Hands down the best caramel fragrance in my collection atm 🫶🏻 When wearing this I cannot stop smelling my wrists, it is sooo addicting. And for that reason, this is overall worth it (atleast for me) 🩷

Very beautiful bottle. However if you have a fragrance sensitivity/allergy, use this with caution. It’s an oil in a droplet, very strong. I use 2 drops with non scented lotion on my body. I also add perfume on top but it can stand alone although I find it a bit strong by itself. It’s not gourmand like advertised. This reminds me of Parfums De Marly Delina, but sweeter. I get the strong powder like PDM however the dry down is a little nutty, but not overly nutty. It has to grow on me. I won’t throw it away, but It’s not something I would’ve bought if I smelled it beforehand.

I know the listed fruits are apple and lemon and pineapple, but to me it all comes across more like peach than like those three fruits. In the drydown the caramel and vanilla become more prominent, but thankfully not too strong - some other Swiss Arabians take the caramel to a cloying excess but this is balanced better. It's sweet and more on the feminine side, presenting both the fruit/rose light sweetness and the caramel/vanilla heavy base sweetness. It's good but not enough for me to want a full bottle, so 4/5

Really pretty scent. Not too overly floral, fruity or sweet. It’s a nice mixture of all three. In the beginning the lemon, rose and pineapple are really prevalent. On the drydown the rose and jasmine become powdery and the vanilla starts to come out some. The caramel note is very very light, but it does show up here and there. However it doesnt become a sweet scent. It stays the mixture of floral, fruity & sweet the whole time, just different notes show up more depending on how long youre wearing it.

I blind bought this after seeing the bottle and figured if I didn’t like it, I would always have a beautiful bottle for my collection. Upon first sniff, I thought this was too powdery and sweet, however the dry down is very nice on my skin. It’s a very feminine, powdery rose smell, I don’t get much of the citrus coming through. You only need a little and it sits very close to the skin. Very nice for layering. You could wear this as an everyday scent, or to bed would be nice.

This is an intriguing scent. I noticed it after hugging a friend. She had it layered with two other scents, Layali by Swiss Arabian and Very Good Girl. But it was this one that stood out the most. The pineapple is what I first smell and then after a while it turns into what I picked up off my friend. Some strange and intriguing scent. After a couple of hours I can barely smell it, though, but that's not to say others can't. It's an oil so I have a feeling it leaves a trail.

Okay people, one little tap isn’t going to be enough from the dabber, but if you put on a full sweep on both sides of your neck like I did yesterday, you will be setting yourself up for the headache of a lifetime. It is a beautiful scent, but if you put on too much, you will make yourself SICK. My headache is still trying to find an excuse to come back, so I’ll have to do without perfume for the next day or two.

I've had mine for like 8 months. On skin, it's a kind of boring, pleasant, citrusy/rosy scent...but it becomes kind of magical after an hour or so. "Powdery peachy vanilla floral" might sound bland on paper, but it's actually really lovely. Lasts forever, as oils do, and also tends to permeate your clothes

definitely smells like a vintage hotel soap bar, it's "clean", old-fashioned (mature works too) and classic. personally, not EXACTLY my taste, but i could see myself wearing it again sometime in the future. even though i can't really smell any of the notes listed, it is still a very comforting fragrance.

This is beautiful and light. It is a very powdery and airy scent ! I don’t see the Delina comparison at all. Love the bottle too on this! Definitely a keeper. It’s a nice one to go to bed in as well. It is really a comforting and feminine scent!

I like it. I bought this hoping it would be more vanilla forward, but to me it smells exactly like Club de Nuit Imperiale, with a little less longevity. I haven't tried layering this oil and that perfume, but I feel like it would be a rose BOMB.

This is a cute little gem. This is baby powder with a hint of pineapple and a strong soapy aldehydes base. Its super cutesy. If you enjoy powder notes this one will be for you.

On my skin it's musk and caramel

Trust me, this smells NOTHING I mean NOTHING like Delina. I have Delina and Delina Exclusif along with many rose fragrances. This smells like Demeter Laundromat. I'm looking at these notes and scratching my head because I've had this for two months and all I smell is laundry detergent and dryer sheets, so I'm guessing this is a musk monster. I wouldn't even call it powdery-this is just straight soap, laundry soap. I guess the good thing about this is if your clothes need a refreshing you could put a couple drops of this on a dryer ball and throw your clothes in the dryer for 5 minutes and now you have clothes that smell freshly laundered. Since I use my dryer balls my clothes don't have that clean smell to them anymore so there's always this. This is just not my type of fragrance-at all. The Layali Rouge is tropical and nice but this one is not for me. I've tried putting it on, layering it, and there's really no salvaging it for me. It's super cheap on Amazon so that's a plus. Also, I've had this for two months and it hasn't changed. It's still just a bottle on concentrated detergent.

I 100% agree with people saying this smells like a luxury hotel soap. It REALLY does. I can't compare this to anything else. To note, I can not stress this part enough, if you do not enjoy a strong powdery/soapy fragrance then this will NOT be for you. I can absolutely see this as being headache inducing because the powder/soap aspect is STRONG. Over time, a little bit of the fruit notes start to come out, but it's not much. They are pretty minimal. It's mainly this sharp citrus, powder, and soapy aspect that I get. In the deep deep dry down, I finally managed to get some of the sweetness. I just wish that part had showed up sooner. Wear time I get is about 2 to 3 hours max. Again, if you don't like a fragrance that is dominated by powder/soapiness then this will NOT be for you.

I'm 24 and I am trying to decide if I am crazy, but this perfume reminded me of the smell of my grandmother. Strong white floral and not for me. I was told by not only my siblings that it smelled like an old lady perfume but also my partner. Since all I ever really used this for was on my pillows and blankets, I did gift this to a friend of my brother who likes those strong white florals. Probably not a safe blind buy, though for the price, I won't cry about decluttering it.

To me, this doesn’t remind me of Delina at all. Delina is a creamy bright rose scent. Layali smells very very clean, almost like laundry detergent but in a wearable perfume way. It’s quite strong too. I would say this smells of green apples, baby powder and musk. If you don’t like musky fresh smells, I would steer clear.

This fragrance has potential. My initial reaction however is that this scent has some strong grandma vibes. I love this fragrance for summer paired with something like santal 33 or similar scents to bring some more spice and wood notes or even a citrus would do nicely with it.

This is awful and smells like dryer sheets. A year later, still smells awful and like toxic, cheap dryer sheets. Not pretty soap. Every high end hotel I’ve ever stayed at usually carries high end products like Bulgari or Aveda and smell like green tea or something unisex.

To me this just smells of rose scented soap. Kind of like one of those cute little shaped soaps left out for guests. Linear soapy rose. That's it
