Crystal Rose

TOFFEE-ROSE Perfection. This is a dupe of Roses Vanille Mancera with good approximation & excellent performance. Opens with a short burst of lemon & water notes where already you feel the caramelized rose coming through. That continues to deepen for the duration, underpinned by vanilla, white-musk & cedar. The caramel here is dark & intense, and leans to toffee with a soft near-coffee note (not listed). Into the drydown I also get a black-tea note on the skin. I don't need to be in the mood for this, I could wear it anytime just like other scents with this DNA. Performance is amazing - no complaints - perfect for year round wear although one spray is more than enough in summer. Contrast to Roses Vanille Mancera: As above, this is a dupe with good approximation and excellent performance. The carmel here is dark near toffee which makes it lean to Intense Cafe Montale. Both have excellent performance. Contrast to Intense Cafe Montale: These are very similar, but Intense Cafe has a slightly more forward coffee note. This is probably half-way between Roses Vanille Mancera and Intense Cafe Montale. All three have excellent performance. Overall: gorgeous tofffee-rose scent with excellent performance. This has been discontinued but you can still find it on the tier-2 discounters now and then. If you happen to find it, enjoy!

It took a while for me to enjoy this fragrance, but I have finally grown to love it. I was appalled by the first spray which was a ridiculously medicinal, synthetic, jammy rose. I normally appreciate medicinal fragrances, but this one made me nauseous. It literally smelled like mentholated cough syrup. So scared off by that first spritz, I tucked this one away. After about a year, however, I revisited it and thankfully the medicinal scent has toned down a bit (it is still there, but it isn't nearly as abrasive as it was in the beginning). What I am left with is a beautiful and saccharine sweet rose syrup. It definitely does smell similar to Roses Vanille, but this one is more candy-syrup while RV is more watery and natural. The projection is okay, and the longevity is good. I am sad to see that this has been discontinued.

This beautiful, powdery rose! I definitely can understand why it's difficult to be found now where I live and it's twice the previous price. I started spraying it on my wrists before going to bed and I feel super sexy in a very mature way. So now it will be weird to say that I also find this perfume a bit oldfashioned, as if a better version of my grandma would wear it. It had stayed in my drawer for a long time, because the powdery rose indeed made it feel not too contemporary. However, as someone pointed out - it has a gourmand twist with that distant (to my nose) caramel. Now I'm in love with it and I cherish it because of its scarcity.

I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume! Bought it on Amazon after watching a Tiktok raving about it. It smells like a candy rose. Sweet but not too much, when I spray it on my wrist it makes me want to lick myself not joking. I feel it will fit more of a younger(ish) crowd, anywhere from 18-35. I love to wear this to sleep it’s a very cozy-sweet scent. And it lasts ! If I spray this at night I smell it still in the morning after waking. Would definitely recommend if you love sweet yummy scents.

It smells IDENTICAL to Mancera Roses Vanille, maybe a tiny bit more sparkling and less heavy. But if you sprayed them next to each other, I couldn't tell them apart. This is way cheaper than Mancera, but I don't like the bottle that much. It's a bit tacky.

This is beautiful and very dainty. I get soft roses and vanilla ice cream. There's a faint powder drydown as well but it's so well blended. Very inoffensive and polite perfume.

I do believe this one has been discontinued. Rose-Vanilla nuff said.

A lovely bottle for a lovely fragrance! It was a solid like at first spray. At first, I couldn't think of how to describe it except to say that it was sweet with a hint of fruit and some clean, well-blended musk. Then I realized that it reminds me of a lighter version of Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the same projection, but it smells quite lovely sitting on the skin.

pls pls pls do not spray too much u will get a migraine i promise you. i sprayed one spray and i was good for the day. i stupidly went back and spray three more sprays and NOPE! it was so damn strong it was overpowering every smell around me i could smell anything else besides myself for the ENTIRE DAY, just be careful of how much u spray at once.

Listen, if you don’t want to pay $200 for Mancera’s Roses Vanille, this is a perfect substitute. While it doesn’t have the same lasting power, the sillage and projection are the same. This is a little more syrupy. It’s a wonderful vanilla base with damask roses drenched in caramel sauce. Very comforting and homey.

I didn't quite like it at first, I found it sharp, artificial and headache inducing. But I recently paired it with a chocolate body lotion which gave it more roundness and now it smells exactly like a rose turkish delight, so delicious!

Smells lovely but I always get headaches and nausea when I wear it. I could be overspraying as well so maybe if you wear this you just need three sprays maximum.

Old fashioned / classic heavy rose bouquet smell and sweet that leans caramel (which includes creamy and vanilla notes). Vanilla, cedar, musk base is well blended enough that it's more of a "base notes are present" scent than any of them in particular. I got a bit of the water on the top, but it's fleeting. Rose is the dominant scent after the first five minutes. This is reminiscent of the type of perfume worn by my relatives born in the 1910s and 1920s but much sweeter and gourmand leaning. As I understand it Gen Z is embracing this scent profile. It's a good example of what it is, but it's not to my taste.

I believe this is inspired by Maison Lancome Parfait de Roses. This smells 90% similar to Lancome one, but only for the first 15 minutes. Lancome transforms into a soft, sweet and warm base whereas Swiss Arabian base is VERY sharp, masculine and "prickly" to the nose. Lancome PdR is now discontinued so I had high hopes for this one, but unfortunately cheap ingredient mean the dry down is cheap. This is not terrible, but the blend isn't smooth. It smells for the money it costs.

smells like a rose cookie? like the caramel lends a fresh-from-the-oven quality that is very...interesting. I've never smelled Rose Gourmand or Roses Vanille so I don't have a frame of reference, but I don't think I like the mish-mash of so many different notes here. I wore it once to test it and I hated smelling it on myself; I got so tired of it so quickly. I definitely don't regret decluttering my bottle.

I liked the fragrance at first but I had to get rid of it because it made me feel nauseous after a while. It’s incredibly strong and sweet, I can see how the dry down might be appealing but I just can’t use it anymore because it’s way too sweet and synthetic smelling to me.

The bottle is drop-dead gorgeous and the notes seemed so interesting... but what a painful way to find out I do not like the scent of rose in the front of a fragrance. It is all I can smell. Old lady scent. It made me feel so terrible I got shivers down my spine. After one hour I was on the verge of having a headache. I had to cover the area where I had applied only once with a coat and even then I could still smell it above the coat so I had to drown myself in over 20 sprays of other perfumes to get rid of the smell and move on with my day. At the end of the day when I took off my jacket and it still smelled like it although much tamer. It is truly a pity because I have an attachment with art and jewellery inspired by rose imagery but the scent is awful. If you like rose you will probably not dislike it and appreciate the long longevity (8-9h) and strong sillage, but for me it was hard to endure it because I did not like it. I am not even going to rate it because I am really sad of how terrible I think of it.

This perfume confirmed my dislike for Rose being the main note, and with the water note, it reminded me of the Rose Water and Ivy scent at Bath and Body Works. I can’t smell any of the other notes because my nose is so focused on the rose. She is strong and long lasting, so my floral girls should get this.

This one isn’t for me. It reminds me of the fluoride pastes they use to polish your teeth at the dentist’s. Really artificial and sickeningly sweet. It’s like someone dissolved a bunch of bubblegum in lemonade.
