THE INDIANA JONES SCENT Buy it only after trying it. Everything other reviewers say about this fragrance it's true: - "It smells like dead carcasses", - "It's wonderful", - "It smells like rotten cheese", - "It's amazing", - "It smells like dead animal skin", - "It smells like true oud", - "Nothing matches this for quality". As per Swiss Arabian information, we get the following notes: OPENING NOTES: Leather and Oud MIDDLE NOTES: Animalistic Notes and Oud BASE NOTES: Woods and Oud As you may understand this is a very polarizing fragrance. I found myself in the same situation. I hate it in the leathery ultra-animalistic opening and I love it in the long woody dry down. A distinct mixture of raw animalic leather and cloying oud it's what you get with the top notes. I remember experiencing this scent while walking across the tannery souk in Fez and in some neighbourhoods of Cairo. Later on (30+ minutes) the rotten leather becomes fainter and you get a bit of a soapy animalic cheesy smelly note with a different oud scent as well. The oud is no longer super cloying but it isn't still a civilized scent and still has a vibe of a dirty wandering rogue. After 30 minutes more, you start to get the oud you were after, a good "more civilized" oud. It's a smoky (very) manly oud, with a bit of tannery leather scent still, not cloying, not sweet, but very appealing for real oud lovers. It becomes a head turner but not always for the right reasons. Remember that some people hate the oud scent even when it's pleasant for you. After 2~3 hours it finally becomes what we may call "a perfume" by Western standards. It's probably the most manly perfume that I own and I mean that not in a good way. All the ladies will hate it in the opening and some of them will adore it in the drydown. It's totally the opposite of a gourmand metro sexual perfume like Givenchy Pi or Rochas Man. Can you love both extremes? Probably yes! My cautions: 1) I do apply 1~2 sprays an hour before meeting anybody, either ladies or gentlemen. This way you will avoid somebody thinking that you are covered with an animal's rotten skin or buttered with Roquefort cheese. 2) The secret to using this perfume is very simple. You spray your morning clothes before going to bed at night and leave them in the toilets. No one will match you the next morning. As this perfume has a monstrous longevity you still have something like 20 hours in front of you to share your scent with the rest of humankind as well as other types of animals. My two golden retrievers love this fragrance, especially in the second half hour. Even they cannot stand the initial smell. After 30 minutes it becomes less cloying but it's still a rotten meat feast with Roquefort and they love it. During the bottom notes phase and the dry down, the best descriptions I heard about this scent have been: ... that I smell like a biker with a leather jacket after covering several hundreds of kilometres on a Harley Davidson. ... that I smell like Tarzan, "Tarzan king of the jungle" and not his alter ego Lord Greystoke. Is that bad? I guess not. A comment made by my wife is very interesting: - "All the men will envy your scent because you smell like Indiana Jones and not because you are wearing an exquisite rare fragrance. Half of the women will love the scent of you, and the other half will hate it." So far I still don't know if she likes it or not... nor does she. So far to my acknowledgement only Tabu from Dana has a bigger sillage) - Uniqueness: 10.0 (unique for me so far) - Wearability: 5.5 (Forget the first 60 minutes. After that it's very good but don't use it on hot days) - Versatility: 5.5 (Forget the first animalic and leather notes for 60 minutes. I was longing for a dramatically animalic, barnyardy, deep and strong oud fragrance that is affordable and after readng all the reviews here, raving and negative ones as well, I blind ordered it. THis is nothing I expected. I was literally scared to spray it on my wrist to test it, I sprayed on a tissue and throw the tissue right away onto my desk to leave it there for a few hours before smelling it. But I was expecting a strong smoked cheese and cow and barnyardy smell even from that distance.... and nothing could be smelt. I smelt the tissue itself and a beautiful, deep, ripe fruit and smoke and wood smell was all I could detect. I was in Oud heaven, only real pure oud oils have these facets! I sprayed on my wrists immediately and waited for the miracle but again, I could hardly even smell anything. And I mean this since I'm a chronic undersprayer with my total sprays of max. 2-4 normally. I found myself sprayinf this EDP all over my body and enjoyed all the 2 minutes I could smell it, after that it fades to a soft skinscent that is only detectable when I put my nose to the point I sprayed before on my body. The fragrance itself is beautiful, they recreated the smell of certain pure oud oils that are multifaceted on their own. Leather, smoke, fruit and balsams on a woody base. I can't smell any barnyard, any cheese, nothing disgusting or off putting, quite the contrary. But the performance is very dissapointing. I've never had an arabian fragrance that was so weak and soft. And it's not only me: I sprayed it again all over my body: chest, neck, wrists and 10 minutes later I said good night to my children, hugged and kissed them and they didn't say a word about my fragrance as if they could not even smell anything! I'm sure I will keep it and try it as a layering tool, too as suggested by many reviewers. Also, if someone loves the scent of real ouds but in pure oil form he /she can't afford wearing them every day, or they think their pure ouds are not office-appropriate, this fragrance may be the answer for their problem because it's hardly detectable by others but has the uplifting quality we love in ouds, on the other hand, it's like the smell of one's own skin but better and this won't offend anyone, but it's irresistible and very, very sexy. And the best thing is that despite this is very affordable if not even a "cheapie", there's not a single second in it's life on the skin when it smells cheap or overly synthetic. The price is justified by the low concentration, I guess. However, the packaging is still a bit dissapointing. From a distance it looks very nice, the colour of the liquid is greenish-brown and similar to some very high quality arabian oud attars' colour, but the cap and the metal parts on the bottle look - and are by that matter - very cheap. Mind you, some Dior fragrances have just as cheap looking plastic caps, too..... it's just a note for those who are interested how the bottle looks in real life. And a final note: I'ma woman and I find this fragrance just as unisex and easily wearable for a woman as any other oud fragrances. There are fragrances out there, marketed to women that are way more masculine than this fragrance, IMO.

Starts with notes of your typical sharp Indian oud, ironically going against what westerners call perfume. Not the most skanky fermented oud, but definitely animalic, aggressive, I would say quite inappropriate for a closed environment during this stage. The savage opening remains through the EdP's heart and fortunately mellows significantly with time. Settles down for quite a long period, with waves of wicked skank coming and going for 2 to 3 hours. The warmer the surroundings, the vicious it gets. After a couple of hours, takes the scene the Cambodian oud (facets). Embodiment of a wet forest after a long rainy day, earthy, still boozy (a cognac note there maybe?), but remains surprisingly luminous. Loving this stage. Floral accents are developing in the background, while a leathery vibe comes to play its act. I see why Cambodian oud is presented as being the heart of this EdP. The oud is definitely of culture, if not entirely artificially produced, nevertheless enjoyable. The composition dries to a tasty wood, you can feel a note of honey with smoky exsiccated fruit accords, which define its final sweet profile. Bright woods and zero skanky notes here. I don't identify it as specific Vietnamese oud. Dehn Al Oodh Malaki (how can fragrantica misspell the name?) unfolds through a very long period of time and while born outrageous, it dies gloriously. It largely depends on the skin chemistry, but can be applied on fabric for a consistent result. Not for everyone. While challenging on its own, it suits perfectly for layering, adding depth and character to other perfumes (you name it, it works with any other perfume I have). Something magical happens every time I'm using it as a layering base; it hides the skank and delivers the Oriental atmosphere. For the price, I'm amazed.

To qualify this review, I am a woman that LOVES my woody fragrances. In fact, I love all the things that have been traditionally marketed in men's colognes, ergo why I used to buy a lot of men's fragrance before unisex became a trend. If it has woods, resins, moss, vetiver, petrichor, salt, incense, spice- and of course, oud- then I am IN. So a lot of women may absolutely hate Dehn al Oud Malaki because it has nothing at all that is typical of womens' fragrances- no fruit, no caramel, no tonka, no flowers, nothing sweet or sticky or gourmand or edible. BUT I LOVE IT. Dehn al Oud Malaki is one I wear exclusively for me. If others like it, cool, but if they dislike it I'm wearing it anyway. I love the grounded, earthy scent bubble it puts me in. Malaki is night under the stars by a campfire, in a wet forest after a rain. There is a chill in the air, the kind you can smell. The wet leaves make that characteristic swishy sound on the ground as you move around the campsite. Orion is at the midheaven. There's not a soul in sight. Wolves howl in the distance. You never want to go home. When I am in need of grounding, this is my number one. It's smooth, well-blended, photorealistic and beautiful. But not remotely feminine-smelling. Note: This one DOES last. It lasted through a full day, then a jump in the pool, then a shower, I could still smell it lingering on my skin as I went to bed and then again when I woke up the next day.

It has weight and gravity but never feels dirty or aggressive. Just dignified and unmistakably bold. This is not a fragrance that tries to please everyone. It is for the wearer, not the crowd. If you're a real oud lover, you'll appreciate its no-compromise soul. It doesn't whisper. It stands tall, grounded, and proud. Longevity is excellent, easily lasting all day on skin and much longer on clothes. Sillage is moderate to strong depending on how much you apply. It projects with authority, especially in the first few hours, then settles into an elegant presence. I wish it came in a better suited bottle... A timeless scent for those who move with confidence.

Let's say you are a piece of agarwood--bear with me here--and you feel you are an underachiever, not strong enough, not fecal enough, insufficiently animalic. Dehn-El-Oud-Malaki is the fragrance you'd don to pump up your scent. This stuff is tremendously strong, projecting, enduring skanky oud. I happen to love it, but I recognize that it is a tough row to hoe for many folks. If you are looking for next level animalic oud, but you don't want to spend huge money for something like Frédéric Malle's The Night or Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier's Oud Extravagant, this fragrance is just what you're seeking. Sure, the presentation is a bit cheesy, but the quality of the juice, with its combination of natural Indian, Cambodian and Vietnamese ouds, is outstanding. If you truly want to push the envelope with an unapologetic, rough, bold, long lasting and strongly projecting oud, look no further. It is a great value for what it delivers, too. Recommended.

I have, of late, been mesmerized by Oud fragrances. I stumbled upon this product and had to give it a try. This Oud is straight-no chaser juice. I am quite sure it is heavily diluted, considering the immense price pure Oud fetches, but this is definitely Oud. I don't get the barnyard skank that is so often referenced, but rather a dark forest, which perhaps endured a fire some months in the past and after many rainfalls, is coming back to life MIXED with the decayed part of the forest. I know, that was not a terrific description. I also use this fragrance as a base-layer for my other designer and niche Oud fragrances. One example is with a real sleeper Oud juice: Avon Premiere Luxe Oud. The combination of these two is amazing. I also pair it with YSL M7 Oud Absolu. (this one may be overkill) If you want to take your Oud fragrances to the next level, Dehn Al Oodh Malaki is the product for you.

The opening of this is some fancy smokey alcoholic beverage and the scent itself is the smell of "burnt rubber" or rather a summer hot train track and honey. There is nothing offensive, nasty animal, carcass, barnyardy or fecal in this scent (... this was one of my "failed" purchases when I was looking for real barnyardy scent... ). I don’t even get so heavy strong leather here, at most a little acidity counteracting that whiskey and flower-like sweetness. For me this is balanced, very pleasant scent. On my skin, which usually swallows fragrances this takes easily from morning to night. Sillage reasonable, the scent is not so radiant as rather dense. But leave trein behaind you. Go for layering, but it is still so strong and powerful that it easily dominates other scents. My bottle is few years old, I read the previous review and was left wondering if this one was shaped too?

@easterncrescent I agree ! Actually, when I first got my nose on it after my purchase, I was disgust. I thought to myself : '' What the heck, this is not perfume !! ''. But then someone told me : '' You should wait tomorrow before sending it back '' . And then the next morning I tried it again, and it was different ! Something magical happened ! It's smell like Mukhallat Shams by Ajmal in the opening. The opening is very animalic and leathery, but then if you wait a little bit, you will be rewarded. In fact, I didn't knew that oud smell like this. I own several arabic perfume, and this is the first time that I smell pure oud. If you know the odor of Aleppo soap, you can find some similarities with it. I can't judge performance right now, but I will update my comment later God willing. Cheers.

This is definitely the most masculine fragrance I have scented to date. 99% of noses will feel repelled by this perfume. This is for the real Oud connaisseurs. In fact, once you wear dehn al oodh malaki you realize that the mention 'oud' should dissappear from the reminder of existing fragrances as they all improperly refer to it. The opening is disgustingly rotten and evolution is quite harsh with animalic rotten flesh. If you manage to survive this two-hour long phase you'll discover the power of true Oud. A religious fragrance, yet not mystique. If you have ever been in a middle eastern suk this is the smell you can perceive randomly. Beautiful, powerful and unique Don't buy it, it will not draw compliments, rather the contrary.

First impressions: picture a mature man with a leather jacket, maybe the jacket is about a year old. He's at a newly varnished basketball court. He has very faint wafts of piped tobacco in his bubble and a case of snuff in his front pocket. Someone besides him is eating a dessert that showcases dark fruits. Deep woody, a bit smoky, some tobacco nuances that feel a wet, and a feel of dried fruits. I can see how people are getting the animalics but to my nose this is just a deep woody scent...no barn, just a bit serious and charming. It's a love over here! Would layer very well, if one isn't comfortable with it alone...but I can definitely make it work as a solo fragrance. Will return later with a full review of this elixir.

I have spent some time for my work travelling in the Middle East and have always tried to find an oudh perfume that is high quality, slightly more masculine and which reflects what I smell when walking through the souks and malls of the Gulf. Having tried many oudh oils and EDTs nothing so far (except some very expensive oils) matches this for quality. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews here. I bought it in Muscat Muttrah souk in the Swiss Arabian store. The smell is rich, (but not sharp/ feminine or animalistic) honey like and dries down to an addictive and very very long lasting scent on the skin or clothes. If you are looking for traditional oudh, a spray, on the masculine side look no further.

This is so easy to wear. Smells like skin, only better. Does not feel like 'fragrance' or 'accords'. I work with cannabis extracts and this feels like a natural product in my nose. Smells like a barnyard where there is 1 goat and 1 cow & they are somehow trained to pee & poop outside & down wind. Smells like clean hides, cut hay & live grass. Far dry down adds a hint of spice & incense smoke. No poo no cheese no feet not at all funky to my nose. 2-3 sprays under clothes low-moderate projection, great longevity.

This has got to be one of the best cheap oud fragrances on the market. Its fantastic! I got this in the dubai mall for £25 a bottle its around £80 in the uk. So I grabbed 4 bottles, 2 for me and another 2 for gifts. Performance is solid for a cheapie, pretty strong stuff for the first 6 hours then It does fade to a skin scent but still noticeable after 12 hours and on clothes this stuff isn’t coming off for a few washes, its very strong on clothing. Delighted with this one, spicy Cambodian oud 😀

I bought a bottle years ago out of curiosity. Apple and cheese, nothing terrible, but no beautiful smell. Every day I tried and laughed at the stupidity of the purchase. But. Halfway through the bottle, a beautiful scent emerged. Such beauty, such charm! The smell of a forest path in the summer sun, the smell of a meadow and nature. So mild, clean and natural. I wish people smelled like this, but here in Central Europe, I can only use it for myself at home. Love.

Great Oud fragrance! Smells like you’ve rolled around on a wet forest floor on wet, dank rotted, Oud wood (this is actually amazing). I love this scent, projection is amazing, sillage is great and longevity is incredible (14 hours on my skin). Colder weather in the evening and it’s best for when you want to smell like you have money (in the best way possible). It’s an incredible scent. Rating: 4.5/5

I’m on my third bottle , this is perfect Oud for summer heat. When I was younger I spent several years living in Indian holy dham, they treat cows there with respect , everything around them smells like a fresh hay of either beautiful sunny day or damp hay of a monsoon day. Dehn Al Oudh Malaki smells like you’re partying with those cows and drinking cognac. So much fun.

Incredible scent, might need maturation. Slightly animalic opening but honestly smells more like black olives, after a few minutes a smooth and mysterious authentic oud scent unveils.

beautiful beautiful oud fragrance. I read a lot of people saying it is extremely long lasting; It isnt!!! This something that would stay with you for a decent 4-6 hours then it becomes a very light skin scent. The opening might scare you if you are not used to oud, but it is not that strong or skanky like other oud products, so it is not really nuclear in that regard. However; the dry down is so mesmerizing and nice, fruity and sharp to the nose (the good way), it whiffs gently and hypnotically what an amazing dry down really. This is a very masculine scent that will get you compliments on the dry down but not on the opening. Cheap in price: 123 AED (~30$) very good for layering and toning up other oud fragrances (but be careful not to layer it with very sweet / musky oud fragrances) you can layer it with more smoky and spicy oud scents (works best for me at least). this is a male 35+, winter and fall evening and day scent. RATING: longevity: 6/10 projection: 6/10 sillage: 6/10 uniqueness: 9/10 versatility: 6/10 price: 9/10 performance: 5/10 overall rating: 7/10 (if it only stayed longer and projected stronger would have been then 10/10) ~~~~~DO NOT BLIND BUY~~~~ Enjoy :)~

Dehn el Oud Malaki opens with a sour slap of leather that wakens as a feral waft of the medicinal kind, a vapour that rears beautifully ugly with a latrine pungency, strangely enticing and morphing like a polished mahogany woodcut, ceremoniously littered in scratch and rawhide that calls out for heavenly pastures. This is a strictly traditional blend of Cambodi, Vietnamese and Hindi oud strains or approximates, where respective facets of honey tinged, tarty pepper and smoky dung take the pulpit, together give off an unusually addictive leathery bark of holy wood that may be best suited as catnip for the mighty angels hovering above. Surely, this delicacy for most mortals will remain one that is curious and possibly ominous, apart from the few daring talisman who dare to understand its properties... In a nutshell, a leathery musky, oak trunk of funk riffing for whipping ascetics and nodding monastics. Certainly, one for the initiated order!

The opening is harsh, synthetic, alcoholic, like a bottle of cheap scotch smashed on sun-scorched tarmac. But the harshness goes away fast, so don’t be discouraged. *It* quickly arrives (5-10 minutes in) - a sweet-woody-musky base, very pleasant, leathery, not too loud, unmistakably Middle Eastern. My understanding of oud comes from oud-heavy western scents (Xerjoff, Chanel, Dusita et al). Based on that I wouldn’t say it smells like real oud, but I have no experience with oud oils from India/Cambodia/Vietnam so I won’t pretend to know for sure. Nevertheless I like this a great deal.

Grassy, dank, rotted, been through the cow and back again kind of smell. That's how this opens, like a cow patty baking in the sun. It's improving on the dry down. I live on a farm. My wife would mock me for wearing this straight. Heavily layer it with a spray of Black Afgano or even one of that scent's clones, however, and you have something really nice and dirty.

One of my favourite layering perfumes! I actually find it quite horrible by itself. But as I read the other reviews, I gave it a chance and tried to layer it with my other fragrances. And in play with other of my woody, "oudy" or floral fragrances, I found out that it ads a chord that enhances a depth, stealth and sophistication that I find meditative and a bit seductive. It matures the sweetness, softens the dryness and accentuates the spices

oh gosh it's smell like some real oud, mixed with some very sweet fruits. Nothing too synthetic or chemical , it's even very close to The Night by Frédéric Malle...and at least much better than the horrible The Dawn...for 40€ the 100ml (and if you like bestial perfume with a sweet twist) it's such a bargain.

As a lover of Ajmal Dahn Oud al Shams and Amouage Silver Oud, this is absolutely terrible. It smells like nothing; a rice-paper accord disappears faster than anything in Diptyque's lineup. I plan to let it macerate for a few months and then review again.

on first place it smell like sweet oudh but later leather smel start emerging which becomes so annoying after some time. start feeling like some dead animal skin smell and aoudh is gone by that time. Very strange type of parfume which has no quality of oud.

This is not for the weak, faint of heart, or mass appealing person. My God.......This is ROUGH! I have NEVER smelled anything like this. I can only compare this smell to a very smokey incense shop, and a bunch of burning Herbs (even marry Jane), a rotting animal carcass is nearby, all while you smell something very medicinal, maybe like embalming fluid.... It's VERY Robust, Unique, Herby, and all around Strange. This is just.......different. I can't express that enough. This a fragrance you'd want to wear if you're looking to repulse someone or keep them away all together. This is not a date night fragrance. This isn't sexy, fun, young or cute. This is a horrific powerhouse. Be warned, this is not for the average nose, or even the more sophisticated nose for that matter. It's not a safe blind buy.

Apologies in advance to oud lovers and just for this very novice-ish description but: To me this scent really has a lot in common with pizza sauce. Like smoky olive, tomato, herb, and anchovies. Reviewer schmooschmoo is highly accurate to my experience with their reference to olives, ketchup, herbs and pickling. Unfortunately I don't like anything about this, even knowing what I'm smelling and making an effort to appreciate I still can't, and to someone near me who doesn't know it may be even worse.

Plasticky oud and mint or menthol. That's all I get from this. Two notes. I don't mind herbal perfumes but the plastic note is not doing it for me. Smell: 3 out of 10 Longevity: 8 out of 10 Unisex, leaning masculine For reference, I'm female.

No. Just no. Maybe I'm just a fragrance rookie, but all I get is straight manure smell. The only thing I'd layer this one with would be Eau de Sandblast to get it off of me.

Highly disappointed! It has very cheap plasticky synthetic oud smell. Just get Ajmal oud shams for less and experience the real deal!

EDIT 10/9/25: 7 months later and this has matured into a beautiful scent. It is still a bit weird on the initial opening but settles down into a nice natural feeling scent with nice depth. Warm, inviting, and present, I find it melds with my chemistry and stays present without being overbearing. Just a spray on the back away from the nose, and it lightly envelops. Just picked this up, and tested it on paper a few times. Like other base note driven scents, I'm thinking/hoping this one will need some time to properly breathe before I get a true impression. Currently, it opens incredibly alcoholic, and almost has a sweet raisin-y blast to it. Like a raisin liquor. There is something that reminds me faintly of Jovoy Private Label once it dries down. I wouldn't really compare the two, but something made me think of it. Once it dries down completely (again only tried on paper) I get glimpses of what this might (hopefully) turn into. Kind of a dried hay, bark like smell. Hoping to get the sort of revelation many of the reviewers experienced! Going to let this sit for a couple months before I test this on skin, but first impressions are neutral but cautiously optimistic. It does seem like a couple more short-lived opening notes could have been added for ease the transition into the heart/base, but I will withhold judgement for now, and report back. Last note: I picked up absolutely nothing like rotting flesh, manure, blue cheese, or any gross funk.

I’m not an expert in reviewing fragrances but I’ll try my best here. The initial opening of Dehn El Oud Malaki is of old sour milk and cheese. The opening is what may scare you here. It eventually gives way to some leather and a hint of old smelly fruit. As it dries down it puts me in the the mind of an Ensar Oud oil that I have. I will say if you are use to the westernized version of Oud fragrances, you may find this offensive. People around you may find it off putting as well. I’m not sure how authentic the Oud is in this composition but it definitely smells like it’s the real deal. This is also great for layering. I spritzed a little of Tom Ford Oud Wood Intense and it turned this into a nuclear beast!!!! Please keep in mind I am not an expert on Oud and I have just begun experiencing real Oud. The more I experience, the better my reviews will be. Overall rating 7/10

It smells good if you can smell it at all. This is a joke and waste of money. Take Paris Corner - Ministry Of Oud Thailand Oud In Cairo and dilute it x5 you get this. This is an eau de cologne or after shave at most, I guess eau de cologne is much stronger than this. I don't know why Swiss Arabian inflated their prices and diluted their products. I think this is my last perfume from this house. If you are looking for an excellent oud of the same vein of this crap then go get the Rasasi Dhonal Oudh Jurrah which is 100x better in smell and performance.

This is actually a very nice raw oud scent, and smells much higher quality than half of my synthetic oud oils (rehab dehn al oud for example). It's woody, slightly animalic/leathery/hay, with a sweet honey facet that is very very nice. The animalic note might be off-putting to some noses, but after an hour or 2, it becomes a very nice sweet/leathery woody oud scent. Lasts for days on clothes, but it doesn't project. I see this worn under a jacket, or under the shirt, because when mixed with warmth of the body it gives a very nice cozy feel.

MALE MASTERPIECE, THOUGH CAN JOURNEY INTO UNISEX TERRITORY, & I GET THAT (WHEN I AM INSTANTLY ATTRACTED BY A SCENT, I'VE YET TO STOP & ASK MYSELF IS IT A MAN OR WOMAN IT'S COMING FROM). THERE'S SCARCE MENTION OF 'TOBACCO' NOTE, WHICH IS TO ME VERY PREVALENT THROUGHOUT ITS SILLAGE. A CONFIDENT COURAGE OF BOLDNESS THAT DARES UNIQUENESS... A FHANTASIM OUDH THAT 'TOOK ITS TIME' WARMING UP TO MY TASTES... AS IN SLIGHTLY SUPERB ~

I always wanted to test real arabian perfume. That is happened!!! At the first minute I surprised with thick cloud of "gray", warm, little honeyed smoke. Mysterious East! Than, during the development of oud I've heard some sticky, slightly "smoked" note, if more precisely- "the smell of cheese". WOW !!! I think this is due to the oud's NOT high quality.((((( To the base appeared pleasant tobacco note. Longevity is good and the price too.

Very dissapointing. Smells like overripe fruit and furniture polish, its balsamic and sweet but not barnyardy, not animalic, not really very interesting. Although I do keep going back to it to layer it over and under things, I wont be buying another bottle, it isn't floating my oud boat. For a few more bucks you can get Ajmal's Dehn al Oudh Shams which is *infinitely* better.

This review is hilarious, and I already feel it to be true xD I have al harmain golden oud, a nice, strong oud, but it probably pales in comparison to what I read here... oud is not for everyone! Even golden oud has the barnyard, dirty sock smell for 10 minutes or so, but it turns LOVELY after that.. smooth and golden. I need to try some Swiss Arabia.

Very cozy slightly animalic oud, is not low quality or medicinal. I have also purchased oud 74 from swiss which is more animalic and more complex than this. I would recomend this only for true Oud lovers. It is very enjoyable and i could asociate this with Dune, with desert.

Oud al maleki by Swiss Arabian. A very woody, musky, oud fragrance that ranks as one of finest in the mid price range. A pungent, dry oud, that settles quite nicely & a little leathery for duration of the day. Not bad!

You were right! I knew it reminded me of something, dead animal carcass! Whenever I smell this on the roads I know there must have been a road kill nearby. How come I never associated this smell with that?
