Dehn El Oud Mubarak

I got my Dehn El Ood Mubarak today. I have read reviews here on Fragrantica and I must say that "StinkySallys" review is just spot on, quote- "It has a mentholish note with some subtle leathery earthiness (think: Heathcliff storming into the manse after a good, purposeful, grumpy ride on the soggy moors, sweaty and dirty, sucking a Vicks cough drop. Ooh!!).". -------- Thank you StinkySally:) Regarding the mentholish note, I think that it lasts through out the whole perfume journey, and that is actually great! No skanky oud notes, no rotten cheese, fekals nor the wet hay is to be found in this blend, which I am extremly thankful for. Just a little heads up: the oil itself is extremly thick and even sticky and you just need a tiny dot on your wrists to begin with. Dehn El Oud Mubarak is an very uplifting experience and I just cant wait to wear it in the coming winter season.This is a dramatic mentholish woody oud treat with just a tiny bits of sweets. A treat.

Picked this up from a Swiss Arabian store in Muscat, Oman while on vacation. This is a great introduction to Arab attar style oud perfumes. To me, it opens with a mix of green and herbal notes, that quickly mellow out. Robust oud notes that linger for a long time, but this has unfortunately a very weak sillage when it sits on my skin. Beautiful packaging. The perfume itself is a thick, somewhat sticky and light brown coloured oil.

Dry wood! Thats what i get overall from Dehn el Ood Mubarak. What i imagine this to smell like is the wood image printed on Nasomatto's Blamage (not the cap, the bottle print). No connection to the fragrance though. Its extremely dry, woody and slightly leathery. I cannot wear this without layering it with other sweet smelling oils. Choco Musk and Ajmal's rose oil (Dehnal Ward AA) works brilliantly as layers/mix. You can be sure that this oil can butch up any sweet/feminine smelling fragrance. It projects well for the first 2 hours and lasts 7-8 hours easily on skin, and as with most oils, lasts days on clothes. As far as oud goes, it is extremely mild with little to no stank (by oud standards)

Ooh!!). I'm thinking for a westerner of the female persuasion, oudh is the equivalent of wearing your boyfriend's jacket while smelling your own floral-woody-fruity confection. I just put Hanan (swiss arabian) over the oudh, and they are playing nicely together: sweet with an earthy foothold, the menthol now more pepperish. So I'm wondering: creating fragrance blends on the fly by layering with oudh may be the way to go, each mellowing the other. Sigh ...

Tasteful packaging for a $20-$30 USD perfume oil. Sweet fruit and red cedar opening, a very clean oud (I speculate it is synthetic at this price point but others suggest various regional oud sources), amber heart that dries down to soap after a day. What others have described as menthol smells a bit more like cilantro/coriander to me. I can't get over a slight allium; there's an organosulfur here that is imperfect though not offensive, but when combined with the cilantro it definitely throws off some fruity salsa vibes. Overall I really like this, particularly due to the strong red cedar opening and interesting Latin American culinary dry down.

A warm oud/woody scent, this was one of my first "oudy" kind of fragrance oils about 10 years ago, it tries to mimic an oud note but without any pretensions there is only synthetic in this oil and the price is perfectly in accordance with what's inside, I just bought a new bottle (for 37€ shipping included on ebay) and I don't regret it, it is as I remember it, a very soothing fragrance due to an overdose of synthetic sandalwood (Javanol?) I use it mainly at home after a day of work and a good hot shower to rest my mind. It is a perfect perfume oil for a first step in the world of oud but also for those who love woody scents.

It smells like mint chocolate! I tried it only three times. The sillage is intimate but lasted on my skin an entire day. The pakaging and heavy glass bottle are just beautiful!

It was a blind buy. Oud has got cheap sweetness in this. Just a so so attar.

Very good introductory Oud. Beautiful packaging and a nice scent at an attractive price. There is a bit of boosted fruitiness as the initial oud blast subsides, but I think some may find a hint of plastic (though that’s not what I interpret). The flacon is beautiful and fun cut crystal with coloured internal reflections, with a long glass dipstick and thick, viscous oil inside. The fruitiness would make this more approachable for those that are not seeking a barnyard note, and the result is something like an Indonesian-to-Cambodi transition that provides some of the medicinal/mentholated satisfaction, but made softer and more approachable by the sweet fruit and sweet hay and woody undertones. I think it is growing on me.

This is probably a mixture of different syntetics. Even though the card inside the box claims that it has natural extracts, the whole composition is far from being natural. That’s being said, this is a very unique, exotic middle eastern scent with great tenacity. All day performer with different shades of wood in every single hour, so it’s complex. Excellent drydown, thanks to sweet and crisp sandalwood accord. On top of everything, you get one of the best flacons ever at this price point. Long story short, you get much more than what you pay for.

this is a precise and closely guarded house recipe combining wild vietnamese, indonesian and laotian ouds. It has a fresh sweet fruity opening that glides into a delicious ambery, leather, animalic quality before transcending itself into a complex and precious wild oudh forest scent that lingers. Can be layered with most European Oud based Parfum like Versace Oud Noir, ST Dupont Oud et Santal and Tom Ford Oud Absolu for the wild and adventurous. Expect lots of compliments and seductive glances.

on its own, it smells like jovoy private label (which isn't bad becasue i like that frag). yesterday I layered this with lv imagination on top and it surprisingly works out. kind of made imagination a bit more spicy somehow and after about 4 hours in it started to smell like arabian oud amiri. going to start experimenting with my other frags now and see what works best with this oil

Just discovered this in a charity shop. What an incredible discovery for my senses when I least expected it. The fragrance balance of quality Cambodian and Indonesian Ouds coupled with slightly sweet leathery woody notes is pure bliss. If you like deep notes that linger and gently follow you so others can appreciate it, this is one not to miss out on experiencing. Love it !

this is definitely worth the price, in fact some sell empty crystal bottles for the similar price. Do your research and you can get it very cheap. You will experience notes of smooth leather, dry woods, touch of sweetness and tobacco. However, this is not a pure, real agarwood oil.

I love it! i love it! i love it! My first oud experience for about 3 years ago. This fragrence its good if you/gilrfriend still not 100 about oud. The price its good to, i think regular price for 6 ml its about 25€ :)

A true beast. I think it suits women more than men, a very fitting scent for women to be worn for special occasions in the cold weather. Smells like a heavy floral oriental.

Smells like an ashtray, one in a cold room with some ash being there for a while. Very thick oil, quite potent

I smell nothing but leather with menthol like Vicks.
