Dreams Of Romancia

Love this golden juice. I'd never heard of Swiss Arabian & only came across this by chance when going through a friends collection. For such an inexpensive buy (seriously - this is pennies) this is heavenly. Quite heady - very fruity to start with lots of plum but then the florals kick in (I detect no jasmine...thankfully) followed by the amber. Its lovely from start to finish. Longevity is really good - I can normally still smell a faint trace of this the next day. It does have a slight Arabic feel to it as do most Swiss Arabian fragrances (clue is in the name). As it is an oil (rather than a spray), a bottle will last forever. Don't ask me why but I layer this with Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud (I think I couldn't make up my mind one evening & went for both) but it works so well & I receive so many compliments from both sexes.

This reminds me of amarige or poison but with a few notes of either of them missing. It has an early nineties smell but not the early 90s sillage. I really like it. It doesn't have any kind of patchouli or incense like many Arab perfumes I have tried. Floral and fruity not light nor in your face rose or something like black orchid. My nose isn't yet trained enough to pick out individual notes well but I am tempted to say there is Lilly of the valley in there somewhere. Excellent value for money and in a pretty bottle.

This is more of a note than a review, if you like Swiss arabians noora, this smells very similar and I think you would like it. As usual it is long lasting being a cpo. I prefer this over noora, there is one note that is different to my nose, but unfortunately I'm not sure what it is

I couldn't place it at first but this is a pretty good clone of Gio di Giorgio Armani on my skin. While many reviewers seem to find Dreams very light, it's a bit of a beast for me: very stong and quite linear after the plummy/ fruity beginning. I've no idea if it's the ylang-ylang that kicks in after that but something has a huge voice that can't be ignored. I want to know what it is so I can avoid it in the furure. Silage with just one swipe of the wand is enormous, "fading" to heavy after an hour or two. Longevity is excellent and comfortably passes the 10 hour mark. What a pity it's not for me. Performance is fantastic and it cost under £10. But it is too much like Gio for me to tolerate. With the right chemistry, however, I think it would be a good winter option.

This is one of the Arabian perfumes that are not that strong on my skin and it becomes a skin scent within an hour or so after putting it on-and I have an oil version of it. This is probably one of the very few Arabian perfumes for women I own-I usually go for the unisex ones! Initially it has a spicy soap scent-actually what I'd love for a soap to smell like. Despite no spice notes I am picking up something slightly spicy. Unless I'm mistaking the oudh for something spicy. There is what I'd call a spicy rose/jasmine note, the ylang-ylang is somewhere in the background as is the orange blossom. The opening reminds me of a less intense and less spicy version of Saat Safa. This to my nose is a more clean scent (compared to other Arabian perfumes I have) and of course more feminine-it's probably the most feminine Arabian scent I have. It's nice in its way but to be honest I'll have to try and layer it with a stronger and less feminine scent, in order to make it last longer. Personally I'd say that this scent is a good introduction for people into the world of Arabian perfumes, as it's not as intense as other Arabian perfumes can be and to my nose it certainly has a western aspect to it.
