ESSENCE OF CASABLANCA

If you are looking for a sign to skip Casablanca and go right to Essence of Casablanca, this is it right here. It has everything I love about the original Casablanca. Beautiful grape and apple scent that dries down to vanilla woods. Reminds me a lot of the winter holiday season in North America where we cracked open bottles of virgin cider and sparkling grape juice. Nostalgia hit for sure! The Essence just has the slightest bit more of a more prominent woody vanilla base, which I believe is exactly what Casablanca needed to take it from a love to an obsessed love. It is worth the $80 and you can get a similar experience with Casablanca for about $40, but I think the price increase is worth it if you love these notes and just avoid doing what I did! Get the best experience possible, most economically, and in a most timely fashion. The fragrance oil too is excellent and can be a good addition if you already have the original Casablanca but can't justify shelling out the $80 but you need the balsamic vanilla in your life. Thank me later!

This is a very high quality blend, opens fruity then the dry downs goes into the vanilla amber. In the opening might seem a little fem because of the sweet grapes, but after 5minutes it totally goes unisex and it's not that sweet anymore. Think about an Erba Pura type of scent that is much better blended, not overly sweet and in your face , replace the fruits with a very unique grape scent and also overall better quality imo. Longevity and silage out of the box is not great, but the thing is it stays quite the same for about 4hrs, then it fades progressively, projection in the first hour is alright, but after that you won't leave a scent trail. I will come back after a few months to see if maturation helps, because is a swiss arabian there is 90%chance after maturation it will improve. Came back after 2 months, and oh this has improved. The blend is just amazing, it smells like nothing else. Overall i would give it a 9.5/10 due to the weaker silage than other swiss arabians bangers.

Was a blind buy that turned into one of my favorites. Don't be fooled by most tiktok reviews, it’s not all “sweet and juicy apple and grape”, it does have a burst of that, sure, but the musky vanilla that, on my skin, is more of a suede vanilla hits in. I was highly confused about the silky woods comparison here, but it is reminiscent weirdly enough. That same suede vanilla, without that bit of Oud and chocolate I get on my skin from silky woods is there, toned down and presented with grapes and apples. Basically a toned down silky woods with fruity notes. Initially I didn’t like it, as my expectations were just juicy fruits, and a bit of vanilla. Not a 50/50 basically, but over time it grew on me. Now it’s a daily driver. I don’t recommend blind buying it, although it lasts incredibly long and projects well, if you don’t like fruity musky vanilla that’s in your face, leans a bit feminine, you might not like it.

This used to be one of my gate-kept favorites, but I’ve decided it’s too good not to share my thoughts. It smells absolutely beautiful, a perfect blend of vanilla, amber, and musk that makes me want to literally eat my arm every time I spray it. Sometimes I wear it just to lift my mood, it’s that comforting. Of course, not everyone will love it (taste is subjective), but to me, this is one of the best vanilla fragrances ever made. It’s richer and more balanced than Diorama or Tobacolor in terms of vanilla and amber, and smoother than Vanilla Powder in the vanilla department. It’s not better than Babycat but just different: Babycat leans smokier and powdery, while Essence of Casablanca is a more yummy, edible vanilla. Both the opening and dry-down are flawless. Longevity is excellent, 8–9 hours easily with just 2–3 sprays. One of the finest oriental niche perfumes I’ve ever smelled. 10/10 for me.

If you spray this on your hand and smell it, you will get a grape smell over an airy vanilla. Which a lot of content creators have said and done. This is an airy perfume. So in the air you will get more of that airy vanilla than the fruit. Thats how you get the full picture with this one. Not up close but in the air. I must say, it is fantastic. The sillage on this because it is airy is excellent. It’s elegant, smooth and perfectly unisex in my opinion. It’s a year round fragrance because it’s not overly sweet and mostly airy. So it won’t be cloying. The balsamic notes take the bite out of the sweetness adding a nice touch. People will overspray this one thinking it’s faint, it’s built for sillage not projection. But is still above average. This is for those laid back days. Screams weekend morning/afternoon. Swiss Arabian Crushed this one.

A few months ago, I visited a store to purchase Enigma of Taif. The vendor recommended that I try Cassablanca instead. Initially, I was skeptical and remained loyal to Taif. However, I eventually decided to buy Cassablanca, and I was thoroughly impressed. This cologne is truly exceptional. It is suitable for year-round wear and is unisex, meaning it can be worn by both men and women. The fragrance is predominantly fruity, well-crafted, pleasant, and elegant. I am genuinely enamored with this cologne. I wear it today for work, and my colleagues have expressed their admiration for its exquisite scent. I wholeheartedly endorse it. Do I like it? Yes Would I wear it? Yes Does it last? 6 hours Did it blow me away? Yes Safe blind purchace? Yes Worth the price? Yes Is it unique? Yes Overall rating: 9.5/10

Oh lawdy lawdy lawdy... I don't know what I was expecting. I don't think I had high hopes just because I haven't been really impressed with other Middle Eastern houses, but THIS. I loooooove this. Very fruity, but the powderyness keeps it from being cloying. The grape is not a tart sour green grape. It's the ripe purple kind. There isn't caramel listed, but I feel like I would think that would be too sweet, at least for my liking. To be fair, I have not smelled the original and I don't think I need to. I'm sufficiently content with this one. The performance is great on this as well! Swiss Arabian has been impressing me lately. I have quite a few from this brand including some oils. I think layering this with their Private Oud oil will make this a perfect night time fragrance.

Best in the Cities collection, in my opinion. Opens with juicy apple and grapes nicely paired with warm orris and sweet vanilla. Just a few notes, but they work so well together. It's similar to the older Casablanca perfume by Swiss Arabian (minus the caramel note), but it's blended better and it performs better too. I wear Casablanca a lot in summer season, it reminds me of sunny holiday. I think it'll work all year round though. Great perfomance straight from the bottle. Nice premium presentation. Bit more expensive than your usual ME perfumes, but still almost half the price of designer fragrances that could only dream to have the same quality. Successful blind buy for me, I'll definitely buy her again.

This is a baaaaaaanger!!! I bought enigma of taif from Swiss Arabian about a year ago and at first I didn’t like it since it smelled a bit like gasoline, but once it macerated it smelled amazing. This means that I was kinda scared to blind buy this one. Once essence of Casablanca was no longer sold out I bought it and off the bat it smells amazing. It’s clearly sweet/vanilla-y but not an overpowering sweetness. I can see where people say that it leans feminine, but as an everyday scent I think it’s perfect. I get a musky grape that is just pleasant to be around. I can now see why it sells out so quickly!

I was eyeing this fragrance down for months, and now that I finally have it I regret buying it. It's a major waste of money for me as I no longer see myself wearing most of the other fragrances I've bought so far this year. This is beauty in a bottle. It has the same vanilla as Althair/Liquid Brun, but enveloped by a soft but sweet fruitiness and musk. Unisex, but I'd fall for any woman who wears this, can be worn anywhere, anytime, and it'll project for a decent amount of time, and last on you all day as a skin scent. I'd love to gatekeep, but truly I want to smell this everywhere I go. Masterpiece.

Absolutely drenched myself in this yesterday at a fragrance shop - you know, to see what all the influencer's hype was about..... Initial thoughts - Rose? Jammy Rose? Like Raspberry jam or grape jelly with a hint of rose water. There's not rose in the notes though, so maybe it was just my receptors after over an hour of olfactory assault in the store. The dry down is amazing, sweet, deep and sensual. And then I find out that this is "feminine leaning" - well, what's sauce for the goose is the same for the gander! It's really fucking good!!!

This is my favourite fragrance from Swiss Arabian and certainly my favourite from the cities collection. This was love at first sniff for me and the only one of the city fragrances that’s made it onto my full bottle worthy list. I can smell the fruit notes for a while after spraying and I think o must have a thing for Orris as a note as o seem to be gravitating towards fragrance that contains this note at present- all my recent purchases seem to be based around it! This lasts for hours and is a compliment magnet.

Pleasantly surprised by this perfume. The grape and vanilla accords make it a perfect all year round scent. The grape smells like a freshly cut grape. The vanilla pairs perfectly with it, accompanied by the other notes, but those two definitely stand out. It's a rather fresh gourmand, and that's what makes it so wearable. Dont expect a full freshie though, because this one is a little powdery/musky. The longevity and projection are good, what you would expect for the price compared to the quality.

In softness and vanilla powderiness, Essence of Casablanca establishes itself as a study on how to exude sweetness without making a fuss, how to make smelling good gently persist without leaving people in a chokehold. I wear this when I travel long distance on planes or trains, or for nights when I crave a reminder of sweetened femininity without the trimmings. Although the fragrance has been labelled as an extrait de parfum, it performs as an eau de parfum to me. That's all.

This is a straight banger. its a lil fem but i wouldnt worry about it its just that good. bright fruity apple and grape mixed with a carnalized, musky vanilla. It has an ethereal quality to it while remaining very strong. Almost like you can smell it but its never overpowering. I really dont know how to describe that type of smell but its extremely mass appealing but unique and you could really wear it anytime. 10/10 recommend.

At the first spray I get a whiff of something orange or citrusy which isn’t mentioned in the fragrance comp. After 3-5 minutes the orange smell goes down and then you’re introduced to the jammy scent that every one raves about. I think that’s the blend of the apple and the grapes Overall, it’s amazing and I’m a huge fan so far. The blast of orange just threw me off for a minute.

Essence of Casablanca is absolutely beautiful. I usually don’t lean in on really fruity and feminine perfumes, but this is crisp and clean. Like smashing a jammy apple-grape into sweet vanilla milk, and remaining a clean scent profile. I have Passion of Venice from the cities collection. So far, this is my favorite, but both of these scents are a real flex for Swiss Arabian.

I guess this fragrance does lean a bit fem but for the most part it’s perfectly unisex. This has one of the most beautiful vanilla dry downs I have ever smelled. I like this one better than the original. It's smoother, and longer lasting. For some reason, the original had a green note that did not dry down well on my skin, but this version stays linear and sweet. I don't think it's overpowering or cloying but I do prefer sweet scents. In my opinion, it's an inoffensive office scent.

Insane workssss, this smells like the regular Casablanca but turned slightly powdery instead of fully being completely juicy although this is still juicy because of the apple and grape combo but I swear I still smell caramel apple which is fire cause this smells so unique and uplifting. Goddamm. Top 3 in my collection.

This is straight niche to my nose!it smells absolutely wonderful, it made me wanna try more fragrances from Swiss Arabian!Such a gorgeous fruity vanillla!for the moment, the performance is moderate on me, but i will let it sit for a little to see if anything changes.

I like this one better than the original as well. It‘s fruity, smooth, sweet, balsamic. Lovely fragrance, I hope that they won‘t discontinue this fragrance. It also makes a great signature scent and is not as popular as other fragrances, which is a plus.

This fragrance is very sweet upfront. You really got the apple and the grape but then as it dries down, it becomes very soft vanilla with a hint of powder every time I wear this fragrance, I always get a compliment. It’s good on both men and women.

This is amazing, i had high expectations and this exceeded them. It is feminine leaning absolutely but i think anyone can rock it, just insanely smooth vanilla and sweet fruits on top

Delicious. A musky floral-vanilla-caramel-apple fragrance that is beefy without being loud. Lasts all day and is perfect for fall. Full bottle worthy at around 70 USD.

Who cares if this is "feminine" this fragrance is just beautiful vanillic fruits in a bottle. Beautiful and dare I say best vanilla fragrance of all time.

Man, this one really threw me off at first. I couldn’t place it, but it smelled so familiar. The opening hits with sweet fruit — mainly grapes and apples , bright and noticeable right away. As it dries down, warm vanilla and amber step forward, smoothing everything out. Then it clicked: it dries down almost identical to Arabians Tonka by Montale mixed with Mancera Instant Crush but fruity in the opening. Nearly one-for-one IMO. You also get hints of that BR540 sweetness floating underneath. The result is a fizzy, sweet vanilla fragrance that feels deep, cozy, and perfect for fall or winter. I’d also reach for it on cold evenings when you want something comforting yet sophisticated. To me the grape and fruits come out for about 40 mins then it turns fizzy vanilla. If you enjoy scents like Arabians Tonka, Instant Crush, or anything in that DNA, you’ll probably love this. It’s smooth, well-blended, and definitely quality. Overall rating: 7/10 — great fragrance, refined and sweet, but not groundbreaking. Leans feminine so manly dudes stay away

I have this and what I'll say for now is that it is more amber-heavy and a lot less caramel-ly than the OG (which is unfortunate for me because that's the part I love the most!) I'll probably wait until the colder weather sets in to give a final verdict.

Opens up very fruity, notes say apple/grapes but I get more of a Peach-like aroma from it. The vanilla comes through heavy. I would describe this as a heavily feminine leaning peachy, musky, vanilla lotion. Would not wear it as a man. Score: 4/5

😌TikTok influencers and hype. The fragrance isn’t bad but not mesmerizing. Just received mine, sprayed it on my wrist and immediately got reminded of silky woods. It’s not really a close 1:1 but I would say Swiss Arabian is much sweeter.

So annoyed cos this is literally one of my top top scent profiles, and I go feral for it- and yet this EXTRAIT turns into a skin scent within minutes on me. I’ve had my bottle for about a year and it’s just as weak as to begin with. Fml

Powdery, sweet. Actually sweeter than I would like. If you have the first Casablanca, I don't think you need this one. It is nice, but not a beast like most from Swiss Arabian. For the price, I would pass.

I prefer this to the OG. This one is really good. Smooth. The OG kind of smelled harsh. Kind of like apple juice with a splash of bleach to me. This one is smoother and not so screechy.

Very long lasting and smells very wealthy, deep fruity opening with a warm ambery sweet aromatic dry down

This might be my most disappointing blind buy of all time - not because it's a bad fragrance, but because it smells so familiar. I genuinely feel like I got caught up in influencer hype. If you're raving about this, I honestly wonder if you've ever smelled Angham by Lattafa or Mercedes-Benz Club Black. To my nose, they're all built around the same DNA. Essence of Casablanca opens with a brighter, fruitier note, but it disappears in under a minute. After that, you're left with a bright, airy vanilla fragrance that's incredibly close to the drydowns of the other two. Mercedes-Benz Club Black is a bit richer and more masculine, while Angham is softer and slightly more powdery, but I'd say they're all at least 95% similar once they settle. At this price, I just can't recommend Essence of Casablanca. If you're looking for a more feminine take, buy Angham. If you want a more masculine version, get Mercedes-Benz Club Black. You'll save money and get essentially the same scent profile. This isn't a bad fragrance - it just isn't unique enough to justify its price when two cheaper alternatives do almost the exact same thing.

Essence of Casablanca is a soft, soothing vanilla fragrance with a pleasant and easygoing character. Although marketed as unisex, it leans quite heavily toward the feminine side. The scent profile is clean, airy, and vanilla/Grapes composition ends up smelling like like soft floral scent ... the kind of fragrance that feels effortless and comfortable to wear for almost any age group and any casual occasion. Performance is fairly average overall, with moderate longevity and rather weak projection, so don’t expect it to dominate a room. The composition itself is enjoyable, but also very familiar. This style of vanilla scent has been done many times before by different brands with only slight tweaks here and there, so it doesn’t really bring anything groundbreaking or particularly unique to the table. That said, its crowd-pleasing nature and smooth scent profile make it a safe blind buy for people who enjoy soft feminine vanillaforward scents. Overall Rating: 7/10

Dear fragrance lovers! Everyone says they prefer this, but does it worth the price difference?:/ Update: Blind bought this and im so disappointed. Because honestly you can tell this is good quality, but smells so boring and sweet, wine like? Nothing special, or outstanding, even the longevity is pretty bad ..:/ I wanted to like this but its hard because I expected something more sophisticated, complex. I dont know about the original but this only worth if you can buy it with a discount. Lets see if maceration can help with this one

This is 100% FEMININE!! I know that its marketed as UNISEX.....but we all know that the "UNISEX" marketing is to convince 'men' to wear women's fragrances so the Fragrance House can generate more revenue! WOMEN love to wear this and it smells feminine and beautiful on them. I would question a man wearing this sickly sweet, fruity fragrance... even though it wouldn't change the fact that the fragrance "on its own" still smells good and sweet.

not my cup of tea tho still really good its candy fruity fresh and that grape and apple smell pretty realistic and not really synthetic while the base is just a simple vanilla cozy musky base its probably not my style cause its just strong like its just cloying like in the store when i smelt this from the other stuff this shit made me super dizzy leans feminine to my nose

Good value. Basically a creamy, caramely almost milky mango/grape. It's pretty nice. It is pretty feminine though. Also you have to like milky/lactonic scents. I would say, it's probably not 4.5 or whatever it's current rank is. Probably closer to a 3.9 to 4 out of 5. It's not as good as Vulcan Feu or liquid Brun. Even at $50...I wouldn't buy a bottle.

This one is a weird experience. It pulls compliments for me however to my own nose it smells like playdough.

Its all hyped up guys nothing out of the box, gave me a headache when i first smelled it, was about to blind buy this. This is a sickly sweet perfume not a safe blind buy!

Dry down was ok but did not like the opening! Leans feminine and more suited to older ladies in my opinion.
