Hayaa

I bought this fragrance oil to layer it as base with my chipre fragrances, so that they last longer... But, this perfume is so good on its own!! I was trying Noir de Noir when I tried this on my skin (they are both in the Chypre family) and I found that these two complement each other well. I found that Hayaa has a bit more of a masculine touch than Noir de Noir, but its sillage is more feminine somehow. The opening notes quite enticing, the amber hits you along with the woody notes and the rose to throw you into amazement. It is so elegant, so wedding guest worthy, that I can't hardly choose which one is better: Noir de Noir or this one. My conclusion is that performance in Hayaa is better, but for a feminine scent, Noir de Noir is better (even if it's unisex, leans feminine in my opinion). Hayaa is more unisex, but wouldn't like it on a man, it's still a bit more feminine than masculine in my eyes. I recommend this fragrance, I've had it on for about 5 hours and I can smell it quite clearly. It has a very alluring and feminine sillage that exudes elegance.

Swiss Arabian Hayaa - amber oud - one of my favorites from this brand. Starts with a lighter Rose, fresh and even citric. Then the main accord comes into play. Smokey oud and a beautiful Amber construction, sweet and almost chypre-like. In the drydown, the oud has rounded out and more woody notes, powder, and white musk support the perfume. What I enjoy about this Attar is how its perfume journey never blasts or screams at the wearer. Elegant.

Good value for money. Zero oud, not even synthetic oud smell. This is a very sweet amber with saccharine rose, but it does smell nice and is good for layering.

There is a note in the top notes that I've smelled before but can't place -it's almost sour and tart, almost citrusy, but also kind of animalic. Kind of peppery. Swiss Arabian calls it "white amber". I wish I could place what it is, but it totally alludes me. Overall it's a note that weaves through being alluring and unpleasant as it begins to dry down and blend with musk and general "amber" notes that I recognize. Overall, this is kind of a soapy fragrance for the first 20 minutes. The "oud" is very artificial but not unpleasant. It's very woody, overall. And as it dries down on the skin the rose amplifies beautifully. This takes a minute to warm up and get going, but once it does, it is quite lovely. I think it would make a great perfume year round personally, but excel in the chilly months where it can lend warmth and comfort. 7/10

I feel like it’s a good fragrance but it’s slightly headache inducing. I really like the combination of rose and amber, but it’s not special in any way. Good value for money. I might look for a version of this that’s easier on my senses.

If you like Fruity and smoky incense kind of perfumes, this oil is you. Very different from the regular attars you are used to smell. Very Arabian kind of ashy vibe to this perfume oil. One of the top oils I loved from Swiss Arabian

The rose in this is mixed with too much in the way of heavy-gritty oud/woody/peppery/smoky notes. Might be good as an incense but not so good on a person

I recently got the sample set of 22 CPO's from Swiss Arabian and am making my way through. This one MAY be in the running for favorite. It is definitely unisex but leans a bit feminine to me. First off I will say - I am seemingly the only person on earth that has tried Lancome's Oud Bouquet multiple times, even buying a bottle a few years ago (after trying a decant that never won me over.. but alas! EVERYONE loves it so I HAD to make the investment, because just maybe it hasn't hit me yet!) Well.. it still hasn't It just does NOT work on me at all and I'm simply not a fan, as much as I try to be. I may even go as far as to say I dislike it... which I NEVER say about a fragrance. I can appreciate the perfumery and story behind most, and I do behind Oud Bouquet. But man, it's just a strong no go for me. I say this, and I will probably still spray it on myself later because JUST MAYBE this time something will click (sigh) ANYWAY, that said, I LOVE this Hayaa CPO from Swiss Arabian. I almost want to say, it is exactly what I wanted Oud Bouquet to be, as it does remind me of it. Right away, I got this rosy oily oud on my skin. Within 15 minutes, the drydown began and WOW this may be one of the most beautiful rose/oud combos I've ever smelled. I find myself repeatedly bringing my hand up to smell it and getting whiffs and am seriously falling in love. It's sweet (but not sticky syrupy sweet or overpowering, like Oud Bouquet), woodsy, slightly smoky, with the perfect balance of fresh roses and a hint of amber. I get a slight vanilla as well, but overall you can tell it is blended beautifully. As soon as it dried down a bit, Hayaa reminded me of something I couldn't quite put my finger on but that I knew held a cozy good spot in my memory bank.. and finally, it hit me! The slightly sweet smokiness TOTALLY reminds me of that smell when you go through the classic rides at Disney. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? I've always LOVED that smell and I can't believe it's been captured in this fragrance!! Longevity is still in the works, but I have a feeling this will last a long while. I put a tiny dab on the back of my hand and even after washing them 3x in the last couple of hours, it's still there (likely due to the CPO as opposed to an alcohol-based fragrance). I believe this would be gorgeous in winter/cold weather, date night, holiday gatherings, nice dinners, etc. Living in a hot and humid climate, I still enjoy it. I wouldn't wear this in close quarters or a work office, most likely. And I feel as though this would be MAGICAL layered with a coffee-based fragrance, like espresso from Demeter or even Intense Cafe by Montale. Or even on top of/mixed with a good vanilla body lotion (seeing as this is an oil fragrance and not atomized). Not to mention, this is SUPER affordable. Definitely going to buy a full bottle of this one :)
