Inara Oud

I just can't help finding myself in love with the Swiss Arabian house. One of my better perfume investments was purchasing a sample selection of their oils, and discovering gleaming facets of oud brightened and paired with endless variety. The best way for me to understand these notions, is to think that there exists a perfume counterpoint to each oil. Inara Oud seems to be just that for Shaghaf Oud's oil infusion. Both are absolutely delicious, and equivalently valid in their own right. It is remarkable how much love and attention went into every detail, from the stunning bottle to its luscious contents offered at such humble prices. The opening blast is an aggressive expression of oud's more animalistic growl, but quickly tames into a placid river of fruity sweetness atop a most demure rose. Smoky notes of exotic wood smooth into an almost lactonic creaminess. Tranquil powdery puffs of vanillic softness juxtapose against a resinous base of tropical woods, enchant an easiness, like being baptized with fronds of smouldering incense. A lovely seduction of sweet haze and blissful serenity. This was worth every reasonable penny requested towards its purchase, and a welcome opening to the cold months that lie ahead.

Another blind buy, another gem. Don't get discouraged by the strong opening, after 5-10 minutes it becomes the most wonderful girly, sweet and creamy oud. You can just spray once, you can spray 10 times. It just works well. Projection is not too strong. The longevity, just perfect. It stays on your skin for around 6h, on clothes 24h+. Definitely you need to wash your clothes if you wanna wear another perfume next day. For me it’s an autumn scent, one that makes you feel happy on a rainy day. It’s like giving yourself a hug, smiling to your own reflection in the mirror. Recently I’ve been wearing this every second day. Often spraying it before going to bed. Try it!

Between this, Florence, and Shaghaf Oud, I'm totally on a kick with Swiss Arabian's sweet, fruity roses. They're fabulous value for the price. This is so juicy and full and gorgeous. I'm still dipping my toe into the world of oud, and Inara is a really safe option for anyone who is looking for something with oud that still feels distinctly feminine. If you love the base DNA of Delina / Delina Exclusif, Oud Bouquet, Roses Vanille, and other similar sweet roses, this is an incredibly safe bet. It's delicious. I would wear any time of year but it is VERY sweet, so might get a little cloying on the hottest summer days - they'll be here soon so time will tell!

Wow, there's no incense listed in the notes here but the smokey note is so prominent on me, I walked around the house wondering if I'd left something on the stove, but the smell of burning was following me everywhere - and I realized it was me! My dad came up to me and sniffed my hair, wondering if I'd singed it. It dries down to an exceptionally sweet fruity-vanilla, but that smoke stays on my skin the entire way through. I'm not sure people around me are into this aspect of it, because it isn't exactly subtle, but I think it's great. Longevity and sillage are absolutely monstrous; this can last me into the next day if I overspray.

If you can get past the initial spray, that gives off a BACTINE antiseptic vibe, this is a really beautiful & unique scent. Even though that valerian is a bit strong in the beginning, this blossoms into the most beautiful fruity Oud. And it's not unbearably sweet. Now, I'm not a pro on Oud scents, but I think this is a great introductory for those who are interested in, but find Oud fragrances intimidating. I tried my sample last night and woke up and ordered a full bottle this am. This is affordable and very wearable. A hidden gem & a VERY welcome addition to my fragrance collection. PS yes this is my 1st Oud fragrance 😁

I love Shaghaf Oud, I just don’t use it very often, it’s a beast. Well, this one is too, but a little more tamed. Here the rose is sooo fruity and the oudh is just slightly muted. Yet this too is a thoroughbred Oriental sure! Really beautiful. I also recommend for men who like sweet fruit scents. Just👌

INSANE LONGEVITY with even more insane sillage. Very comforting smell, defiently not western. Got so many compliments when I wore this one. I really dislike vanilla but in this one it ́s literally the best. Had this perfume for a while. I miss it so much and will defiently buy again when it ́s autumn.

Shaghaf Oud’s little sister.. Both are very similar as they project oud and vanilla. Shaghaf roars but Inara is, a lighter take on and oud based perfume. A more feminine and floral/fruity mix. Interesting to see that this is supppsed to have fruity notes - all I get is Smokey oud and vanilla.

Fantastic less expensive vanilla/oud/rose, and fruity fragrance. Great performance for 10 + hours on skin, and days on fabric. The spray brings a petroleum bubble for 10 minutes and I love it here, in Rosendo Mateu No5, and other expensive fragrances. This is not lineal, anything else?

i'm in LOVE with this perfume! it's honestly & also ridiculously cheap, it's way better than a lot of perfumes 4x its price. it's strong but also very pleasant, i bought it without knowing what to expect and i'm 100% satisfied ((:

Inara Oud is a hitter for me ! It smells so good, I got the litchi, vanilla and oud notes. I got a compliment saying that they were in love with the perfume, this perfume literally lasts for 12+ hours and it still smells strong.

The strongest components in this perfume are, definitely, vanilla and oud, everything else kind of lingers in the background. The bottle is gorgeous and seems high quality. I really like this for a cold winter day.

Some people may not like this because of the oud, I think it’s fantastic. Caramel-raspberry peach-wood fragrance. Smells like a wine cooler in the opening then calms down into a blanket-type gourmand.

This perfume is beautiful and gives off a softer vibe of Lamsat Harir... Great worth for your money I just got mine and I am currently testing it out. I'll give feedback of this but I love It

Jammy, sweet, syrupy oud. I love it; very close to Shagaf Oud, at a fraction of the price. The litchi is like canned fruit in sugar- just fantastic. I love the retro 1970's bottle as well.

First let me start off by saying I really do like this fragrance. That being said, it is definitely NOT a safe blind buy and definitely NOT for someone who is unfamiliar with with oud scents. It is bold and punchy with the lychee (litchi) right from the initial top notes. It'll tickle your sinuses for sure. The middle notes give heady rose and sweet juicy fruit from the raspberry and peach and then the depth from the rich resinous oud and woody teak rounds out the base notes. Definitely needs to be sprayed with a light hand. A bottle of this will last you ages and there is certainly no need for over-spraying. The sillage and projection are beastly (everyone will know when you've arrived and where you've been!) and the longevity is 10-12 hours on my skin. Be careful with spraying this on your clothes as you will still smell this fragrance on cloth even after washing. I already have Rose Oud Elixir from Hayatti NYC and I prefer that fragrance more as the notes are blended a bit better and it doesn't have that screechy lychee top note. However, Inara Oud is a lot less expensive for the baddie on a budget.

Now, this is a perfume you should be very careful before you buy it. It's a beast concerning longevity, on skin and on clothes. I can smell this on my skin 24hrs later and let me tell you, on clothes it's even more. Huge projection and insane value for money. BUT. It's such a unique scent, very oriental, others might hate it. My mother and my sister don't like this one bit, the oud is very loud, and the opening is an extremely medical scent and it smells a lot like incense. Usually, before I get ready to do my make-up and hair, I will spray this until I get ready so that it will tone down. It's fruity with a loud oud, I can smell the rose too, but be careful, don't spray too much! I usually spray it two times, and it lasts all day! Not a people pleaser, very unique, be careful to like the notes enough before you buy it. At this rate, I'm going to have it for years since you really need so little to go a long way. A fall and winter perfume, best at night. Someone above 30 years old will pull this off better than someone young. The price is amazing!

Oud can be beautiful if you know how to use it. This is a sticky thick perfume at its full concentration that can be overwhelming if it's not applied right. It need to be applied with a subtle hand; one spray wafted over skin or clothes. Sure, it might be a little high maintenance. But if you don't wait for the right moment you'll miss out on its sweet but deep feminine beauty. Gosh it's beautiful! Smoky sweet, caramelized, fruits. It's really gorgeous and lush. Just know how to use her. Edit: I've had her for about a year now and the cough syrup plastic scent has truly faded into a rich woody oud, super fruity. Like grilled fruits in syrup. It is OUD, make no mistake.

Candy-sweet vanilla and plasticky oud. Later on in the drydown, the vanilla turns more sugary and the plasticky oud turns a bit more chocolatey-creamy, though it retains just a tad of that plastic smell. This is not a very complex perfume but it's an all around crowd pleaser. It also has that synthetic sweetness that projects like an airy cloud. For the price, it's very strong too. This is very similar to Shaghaf Oud. Shaghaf Oud is more unisex. It's less sweet and creamier, but more plasticky. Smell: 7 out of 10 Longevity: 8 out of 10 For reference, I'm female.

I tried Swiss Arabians largest sample pack and this was my favorite of them all. It's a sweet almost tropical scent (tropical in a fruity way not a sun tan lotion way) It's deff on the sweeter fruity side with a kick of oud that gives it some balance and a kind of smokiness in a good way, It projects well and last a long time on my skin. deff an underrated scent from the Swiss Arabian house. even tho its affordable i'd still say get a sample first it's one of those fragrances that you will either love or hate. so not a safe blind buy.

If Shaghaf Oud was too much for you, but you still want the same DNA, you should try this one. To give you a great idea Shaghaf Oud is the loud and gourmand (with the praline note) big sister, whereas Inara Oud is the more shy and fruitier little sister. You can literally smell the litchi note right from the start and after it settles into a sweet smokey-ish oud scent. It's extremely long lasting and the projection.

Soo much sweeter then the Shaghaf Oud, but in fact similar. I like this one more, the perfect dose of florals and fruits makes me always come back to that scent. It doesn't change much in time, on the clothes they last forever. I think it is the safe blind buy if you love oud and rose but in a sweet version. I actually finished one bottle and rebuy for sure !

This fragrance reminds me of an expensive baby lotion. On my skin, it's sweet, powdery, and lightly spiced. Which to me smells like Baby Magic baby lotion with a touch of the clove spice. That is what I experience on my skin. This is an easy scent for me to wear, but nothing to rave about. This is a nice year-round night time fragrance.

The oud in here isn't that prominent (similarly to Delina, even though the scents aren't similar). Lychee, it manages to be fresh yet very sweet. The oud is in the background, it's not dirty, it's very pleasant and well-balanced. It's a likeable scent - good for anyone who wants to start with Arab fragrances.

The opening is a much fruitier version of Shaghaf Oud with the vanilla amped up...The dry down is an extremely sweet fruity vanilla, I would not wear in hot weather as it can become cloying really fast...Not a fan of the oudy opening but the drydown is nice if not over sprayed.

The dry down of this reminds me of MFK satin oud, Good projection, Decent longevity, smells like vanilla and oud with a hint of rose, the dry down to me is also powdery which I love personally. Very cheap as well, will be getting another bottle just in case

This is very much Shaghaf Oud with a light lychee fruitiness. Very similar indeed. The retro style packaging and bottle is kind of cool. Very inexpensive and long lasting for the price.

Smells like Shaghaf oud with added fruity notes. I am a fan of shaghaf oud which is unisex. If you think shaghaf was more masculine leaning to you then you may enjoy this.

Litchi is one my favourite notes..With saffron, even better. Lovely fragrance, good value for your money if you are into oriental perfumes.

Smells exactly like Lancôme nutrix royal body moisturiser so so good

Blind buy that I'm thinking of decluttering. To me Inara oud is super strong and long lasting. The oud doesn't bother me, but it's definitely there, giving this a deep sweet woody feel. Where my nose disagrees with this perfume is the fruitiness, specifically the litchi and raspberry. To me they just make this too tart/sour and because of that I'm not able to enjoy the vanilla. The tartness fades a little the longer it sits on skin, but I have a hard time wanting to reach for this bottle because I have to wait for it to get better. EDIT: Just got shaghaf oud, they are similar, Inara just has a fruity-tart thing going on, but they get closer in the deep drydown. I prefer Shaghaf oud because in Inara that fruity-tartness has really started to bother me.

I expected to love this, but the strong antiseptic smell at the opening lasted for quite a while on me, and I never got any floral or fruit notes here. The dry down was vanilla with a light oud, but not worth waiting through the antiseptic smell for an hour or more to get there. I gave it to my friend who tried it and it was a little less antiseptic on her (but definitely still there). I told her it smelled like a pediatrician’s office on me, and she agreed.

A more accurate accord list would be rose, oud, fruity, woody, etc. Absolutely not a safe blind buy since the rose and oud combo will come off more heady and mature than you think. Not the dry softness of Pacificas Persian Rose (which imo is a bit more wearable) this is a tub of rose jam and incense. It’s ok for layering with either something more vanilla (not sweet) or a soft fruity scent, but anything more than two sprays is going to give you a headache.

I was expecting it to be more fruity and juicy with some oud, but it's not, although it depends on the person, my grandma tried it and it smelled fruitier on her. In the beginning, very synthetic oud when it dries on me it smells like a powdery plasticky, synthetic vanilla. I am not a fan of vanilla and unfortunately that is the dominant note on me. Despite its cheap price not a safe blind buy. It’s also a very irritating scent to me for some reason, like when I catch whiffs of it it makes me almost nauseous.

The only reason why I gave a dislike is because the oud and vanilla smell is SO strong. This perfume is a beast; with only a single spray, I could smell it (from where I sprayed it) a few feet away. Literally filled up my whole room... The opening was so strong that it took a while for me to get notes other than the oud smokiness and vanilla. IMO if you're into oud and vanillic beasts with a bit of fruity florals, this is for you. I just didn't like it because it wasn't to my taste!

Oof- this has a painful, super astringent opening Once I got passed that, I could really appreciate the litchi and oud, however, the vanilla is a quite overpowering for my personal taste. This reads as very gourmand-y to me, like a creamy litchi dessert, so if you know you are generally into gourmands and vanilla forward scents, I would say this is a safe blind buy for you. I'm glad I only have this as a part of a sample set, since this is really not my preference.

I like many aspects of this perfume, but the oud, maybe combined with the teak wood, is simply too much for me. There is also something with the rose in this one, overall it leans a bit grandma on me in some way. Otherwise it’s some of my favorite notes, so it’s a bit of a shame. Blind bought it because it so affordable, unfortunately not a succes. The bottle is really nice quality tough for that price.

This smells absolutely horrible, i was so disappointed. It smells like the worst grandma smell ever, it gave me headache all day the first day i tried it. I don't understand the positive reviews at all.

I love this straight out of the box. Fantastic price for a beautiful feminine leaning oud. Great longevity and nice for daily wear. 8/10

I purchased this after watching a YT video speaking out about how great this is on " Rose " and " Vanilla " , the other notes were a bit in coming she said . Well , I'm sorry but the first spritz, just one is all I did , was alcohol and a sickly follow up , then it dried down to straight up vanilla on me .So far nothing else , no saffron , no raspberry , no oud , no nothing . I do get a herbal blend with the vanilla that has to be the valerian . I would not recommend to anyone unless you have these notes or similar ones to this and like those ones a lot . I get it , our skin reacts different depending on chemistry and how we wear a scent . So on me what comes across as a " beast " of vanilla might be fine for someone else . She is indeed a "monster " of a vanilla potion ~ This just does not fit the image of the notes { I like all,I have them in several other brands from high to low end } It must be that Swiss Arabian and I don't get alone , this is the second time in about 6 months I have disliked a scentual I purchased from SA . The first is the gold bottle Oud one . It turned a few hours later to a no alcohol smell , then I was able to pick up on a few other of it's notes , but not enough to wear it when I have 3 or more Oudh that are simply " outstanding " like HAO with the tassel top with a rose medallion hanging from , Trish McEvoy Black Rose Oud ~ and lastly Club de Nuit ~ which for a less expensive one is a " rock star " ~ You should in my opinion get a sample if can , if not it is around $32.00 dollars on Perfume.com using coupon . I might put this aside and try a few months from now , like I will with the Oud one , if still no go , will give away to anyone that wants , if not will probably trash them . Sorry to anyone that absolutely loves this , it must just be me ~ Sad , really ~

This is such an underrated perfume. It sucks that no one ever talks about this one from Swiss Arabian because it's a GEM!! If you're a fan of Shaghaf Oud/Oud Bouquet, you will LOVE this one!! If this was released as a flanker of Shaghaf Oud, I'd totally believe it because it definitely has a similar DNA to Shaghaf Oud although there are some *slight* differences that makes it worth having both in your collection if you're into these kind of fragrances. Just like Shaghaf Oud, this one is veeeeery sweet. It still has that same syrupy sweet praline+rose+oud combo that's found in Shaghaf Oud but with the addition of a tart fruity litchi note. The rose is toned way down in this one compared to Shaghaf Oud whereas the litchi note is very very very present in this one. Basically, Inara Oud smells like a fruitier (aka litchi-er) version of Shaghaf Oud and it also doesn't feel as heavy, dense, or as thick as Shaghaf Oud. Performacne is amazing, but obviously nothing beats Shaghaf Oud in that department bc that one is just 🤯🤯🤯.

So if you're looking for Inara Oud it looks like it may have been tweaked & repackaged into Oud & Lychee. Same exact notes, but new packaging. I do not own Swiss Arabian Inara Oud so I can’t do a side by side comparison. The first thing that hits my nose is bright lychee followed up with some jammy roses. It’s very different than Rose Oud by Kilian, but I do like it. As it settles I smell black tea, and Oud, with vanilla, saffron, rose and leather all in the background. While it’s not a dupe, I really like it a lot and I’ll be interested to see how it is as it ages. It’s my first time purchasing Swiss Arabian and I’m very impressed . I think I got a bit off due to Valentine’s Day, but it’s listed as €38 for 100 ml. The box was fine, but the bottle is lovely. Heavy glass. Plastic cap in black. ETA: I've been using this as a base layer to layer purfumes over. Her Majesty by Kilian oh top of this ? PERFECTION.

Honestly I am surprised how people react to this. This is nowhere near disgusting or horrible! It's a warm, a tad green/spicy coz valerian, round and jammy raspberry oud with a touch of jammy rose. The oud in this is more woody and actually my husband always compliments this fragrance on me, BUT he hates oud and arabic perfumes (has lived in Dubai and Oman before and feels sick when smells something disturbingly arabic ahahah). I like it and I am not a fad of oud too ;)

I first sampled it and found it decent. Later, I used it on my skin and really liked the sweet smokey oud. It is a floral version of Shagaf oud and I tend to like it more. Swiss Arabian perfumes are like forbidden treats. A famous French chef ( 3 Michelin stars) admitted that she secretly enjoyed eating Mac and cheese. Swiss Arabian are my Mac and cheese, they are not the best perfumes ever but they are so indulgent and comforting. I keep coming back to them.

I really thought I'd like this but it does not smell like any of the notes to me. Smells just like medicine :( All I get is that pink amoxicillin medicine you ate as a kid, except more cough syrup-y. And you're sniffing it inside a mall/restaurant bathroom (that restaurant bathroom soap/cleaner/freshner smell). If you dislike BR540, maybe skip this one. It gives me the same musty robitussin bottle air vibes that BR does.

Got the perfume--lovely scent. sprayed it somewhere on a piece of clothing on Saturday--its still projecting up to this moment. Its a beautiful long lasting scent-- much stronger version of Q'aeed by Lataffa. I had that one a few months ago and gave it away as it was just too weak for my taste. I am so glad to have INARA OUD in my perfume collection--its actually my first Swiss Arabian fragrance 👍👍👍

This is a fragrance toddlers gateway to oud. The lightest oud I"ve sampled, frankly. Dries down to a very sweet, vanilla fruit. The bottle is pretty, the sillage nice, the longevity forever, the price - cheap as chips. I saw it on Amazon for under $30...how can you go wrong!
