I really enjoyed this oil! It is my first oil, so there is definitely some bias there. I put it on at around 4p, when it was delivered, after letting it warm for around 30 minutes. Within the first 15 minutes, I noticed a sweet apple smell, not the marmalade as much as just a good, fresh and sweet apple. Within the first hour, I noticed white floral notes and the musk start to come up, which was just heavenly! Very feminine, and appropriate for my age (mid-20s), not cloying and aging as some musks/white florals can be on me. Unfortunately, I then took an unexpected nap, but when I woke up, there was still some light scent left over, and it was still nice, a little warmer with some amber in the musk. I liked how it stuck close to my skin, the projection was not huge and I really appreciated that! I would hesitate to call this "elevator safe", but I would say it's an intimate perfume!

I own a bottle, it was a gift. I loved it instantly. The oil is strong when first dapped on, but it fades with time. After an hour or two it stays close to the skin. It doesn't have a strong sillage, but I love this scent. It's a bit sweet, but what I think is the amber, it makes it luxurious and unique. Definitely not a girly scent. From time to time I have to smell my wrist again. The only downside is that sometimes it tends to smell like the oil is dated. I smell this sometimes but very lightly. I don't know why that is. But today it was all perfect again! Me happy! :D Edit: it's also a fruity and clean scent altogether. I adore it! I also think it's in the same genre as Yves Rochers Ode à l'amour, which I love, too. Not a dupe but the same vibe. I'd like to try the spray version too if that's still available.

I just put a couple of drops on the back of one hand because I'm wearing something else right now, and my preliminary assessment is Love. It smells like Juicy Fruit gum and Amarige and pure fruity feminine fun. I also love love love the little golden violin vessel that the oil came in. This was a special deal on Prime Day and ridiculously cheap, so I'm even more impressed. What a darling little attar! Update: Wearing more generally now, and I like it just as much. Still serving up big Juicy Fruit and Amarige associations. I think this might be a good gateway oil for people who are new to Middle Eastern fragrances because it doesn't smell distinctively Middle Eastern. It just smells like a nice balance between "fruity" and "floral," and it's much more "perfumey" than gourmand, fruit notes notwithstanding.

Wow, I would love to get a full bottle of this stuff. When I first took the wand out of the oil, I was immediately welcomed by the apple, marmalade, and vanilla orchid. Halfway through dry down I started to notice a delicious and light citrus popping out. When it completely dried, it turned into an airy floral, marmalade, and amber scent. This is appropriately named as Jamila means beautiful in Arabic. It is a gorgeous light scent, and at no point did it feel too strong or even nauseating for me. Good for any sunny occasion, whether it be brunch with your parents or an intimate picnic with your partner, I would definitely recommend checking this one out. So far this one is my favorite out of all of the Swiss Arabian samples I bought. Solid 9/10!

This is a feminine fruit/floral, it handles the apple note in a similarly good way to Versace Eros, with a good mix of rose and other florals. It's sweet but not too thick or cloying, the florals keep it refreshing enough. Definitely feminine but as a male wearer I like it - 5/5

A wonderful scent worthy of a sultana! sweet, a little smoky, but rich and beautiful.

I agree with other commenters saying the overall impression of this is a clean fruity shower gel. This is not something I would want in a sprayable fragrance but with oils I have much more open preferences. I don't find the 'shower gel' vibe to be bad at all. I don't pick up many of the other notes. I see this as a casual mood boosting scent to grab and go for heading to the beach or spending the day in the sun or fresh from the gym. Above all I think this would be a lovely gift for a younger person who may be getting their very first fragrances. It's very girly, fun and youthful. Performance is moderate and satisfactory. *update: I got a very different experience when I discovered the secret to properly applying oils. I get a lovely waxy buttery aspect now and the fruity top notes don’t take over, but they stick around. This is actually more complex and beautiful than I thought, and there’s a lot of warmth. This would suit more age ranges and occasions than I previously said. It’s still fairly feminine leaning.

Jamila is a wonderful fragrance oil to try if you are interested in diving a deeper into Middle Eastern scents without having to fully commit. I was a little hesitant when I first opened the bottle because the musk came rushing out, but this needs a chance to warm up on your skin to really blossom before being judged too harshly. That wonderfully viscous marmalade note might be tricking my nose into believing there is oud, but as the oil airs out you're able to pick out more of the jasmine, rose, and tart green apple. I think there may even be some vanilla and citrus, which is always welcome. The amber and sandalwood give this an earthy hug so that it is not overly sweet. To me this rings as more mature and seductive, perhaps even a little mysterious in that "who is she" type of way. I enjoy layering this with Faith, another Swiss Arabian fragrance, so those fruit notes can dance together.

At tjmaxx this was foul but I got my own bottle and it seems good. Watch out for bad batches. I like the cardamom notes on the opening, it's a little peppery too which i also like. it dries down to this nice honeyed patchouli. I'm not a rose girl and I think the one I originally sampled was just a little heavy on that note, luckily the bottle I got is much better blended

It's lovely! But it needs to be applied a lot to keep around. I certainly didn't experience any remarkable longevity, however, I really enjoy it, it's soft and sweet, musky/woody... really simple and honestly just right. I really love it and will definitely get a bottle in the future to enjoy at home. 7.5/10

Man, I keep forgetting how good this is. Nobody does an apple note like Swiss Arabian (see Yulali and Kashkha as well). This is a fruity jasmine, great balance of florals, fruit and sweetness. Addictive.

I like the ebony woods and the marmalade notes a lot, but the green note makes it fresh, when it's better suited as musky. Smells a little bit like incense. Long lasting on skin, but eternal on clothes

I’m a little surprised oud is not listed in the notes. Maybe I’m crazy but this smells like a rosey, jammy oud. It’s nice! Not my favorite but very good.

I put this on pulse points, collarbone, behind ears and a few drops to the ends of my hair and given the amount that I used I still can't smell much. My other Swiss Arabian oils are intense but this is really light. The formula seems especially oily too which yea I know it's a perfume oil but it feels thicker than the other oils I have from same brand. Weird? As for the scent.. meh. Smells like sparkling fruit and light dewy flowers. When I wear this after I get out the shower it really enhances that fresh and squeaky clean feel. Smells generic but its pretty. Basic shower gel smell that reminds me of a clean shower and a sunny but dewy spring morning.

This one is a head scratcher for me. I enjoy the notes of apple, musk, and vanilla orchid, but something is really holding me back from liking it overall. In theory, this should be a hit for me!! ... I'm not sure what it is exactly, but something in this smells like spicy saliva. It's most likely one or more of the base notes because it doesn't go away even after hours of wear-time-- it only intensifies as the top notes fade away. Even when I layer other alcohol based perfumes on top of this, it peeks through with its saliva-y smell. I also have Layali Rouge, which is way better than this.

Here's what I get apple, marmalade, rose, amber and ebony wood which seems to channel oud. I don't hate it nor do I love it. It is definitely a middle eastern scent. I bought it once and gave it to my mom who tore through it.

I feel like the description of this scent on the Swiss Arabian web site is extremely misleading, and I also think this is not properly categorized as an Oriental Floral. Smelling this off the glass wand AND on my skin, this is a high-pitched, perfumey, magnolia-dominant white floral scent with a backbone of synthetic-smelling white musk, giving off occasional wafts of “cleaning product”. There is also something a bit green in the background, as well as something “spicy” about the floral notes. I cannot detect any rose or orchid, and I love this notes. Nor can I detect any fruits or ebony wood! I think it would suit someone who enjoys delicate, clean, high-pitched white florals, whose skin can soften synthetic notes, and on that person, I think it would smell best in warm weather. It radiates well enough, but I can’t speak to longevity, because the two times I tested it, I couldn’t tolerate the shrillness for longer than 30 minutes, and I either sprayed something else over it, or I tried to wash it off.

It smells nice up close, but the sillage smells like an infection/boil. Its really weird and i dont care for it 😢

Because all notes are basically delivered to my nose at the same time, and the fragrance does not seem to develop over time, although it is broad and deep in its notes, I would still think of it as linear. The blend that reaches my nose is (give or take): 5% red rose 15% non-citrus fruitiness, slightly jammy red currant-ish, but not specifically identifiable as any particular fruit; maybe apple, maybe not; seemingly a collage of a wide variety of pink or red fruits 20% powdery musk-ishness (very different than iris-like powder, but this is labelled a vegan attar, so in theory this is not from an animalic source); seemingly a collage of different mystery notes, slightly suggestive of vanilla (but not vanilla) 60% generic middle eastern mid-level oud-iness (by which i mean a blending of natural oils to mimic oud, and which has a generic insense sensibility...should smell cheap but somehow doesnt...and is fairly common in middle eastern perfume oils below a designer price point);seemingly a collage of multiple woods that include sandalwood Seems to have very strong projection, sillage and longevity, especially given I tend to go nose blind to these types of perfume oils. Although there are sweet notes, the overall sensibility is not sweet or fresh...more of a slightly tart warmth. Definitely NOT a gourmande fragrance, but if it were a recipe, it would be a slightly underripe red fruit compote with garam masala and rose water for seasoning. All in all, very good value for the $34 price I paid, but I doubt I would wear it in public much, as the oudiness is likely to remind most Americans of 1980's male cab driver colognes. I think it would be very discombobulating for most Americans to smell this on a female, but I can see how other countries would consider this a feminine scent.

This is without a doubt my absolute favorite Swiss Arabian perfume oil. I just love it so much! I pair it with almost everything and it lasts all day and then some. I use a little on my wrists and behind my ears with tons of different fragrances in my collection. I don't know what I ever did without it! It's quite fruity when you smell it out of the bottle or first apply it, but it dries down to a very sophisticated scent. And at $24 on Amazon, you can't beat the value. If you're interested in trying out Arabian scents, this is a great one to start with. It was an instant favorite with me. Oh, and the bottle, presentation and packaging are superb!

A floral, appley sandalwood scent is how I would describe this. I was however disappointed with the power and silage. for an Arab perfume oil, I expect something overpowering, which is how I like my perfumes. This had a somewhat light silage, and lasted around 4 hours. definitely not a gourmand. Its a crispy fruity smell with notable and identifiable sandalwood. Towards the end, I can only smell sandalwood. the bottle is lovely and I'm happy to have it in my collection. I would also say it's a great intro for those new to Arab perfumes as it's not overpowering, and somewhat similar to western style perfumes.

Has anybody a bottle? I,ve bought a body spray (its cheap for 200ml perfumed spray for 4usd) to test. And omg. Luxourious bottle and massive scent. Many hours duration, after washing clothes while ironing, whaff in the face, Jamila. Jamila spray is very animalic to me in good taste. Lot of musk. Bottle suits it well. Its warm, deep, feminine, alluring, rather loud and interesting. Woody undertone, arabic dna, like for bold beautiful arabian business woman over 30. I plan to buy the bottle, cause this animalic scent is so beautiful, not typical.

oh my god. i recently got a sample of 'persephone' by prin - which is a super animalic and earthy fragrance - and i love it so much but it's so strong and unique i was unsure if it'd be wearable on my skin... but jamila is the PERFECT pairing for it. it's like prin's y2k-coded fruity little sister. this pair is going to have me outside in the middle of the night howling at the moon.

I always find this oil taken out of the box in Tjmaxx/Marshalls. Today i thought of dabbing it in my wrist, and boy oh boy!! A gorgeous florals, I also get some fruits, not gourmand and a little woody in the drydown. Lasts forever pn your skin.

It’s not a bad scent but I can barely smell it. I don’t know if I got a bad batch. It’s just way too light and not long lasting enough for me to keep . I did smell the apple 🍏 . It wasn’t a love for me compared with Amaali so it had to go ✌🏽☹️
