Kashkha CPO

Out of all the Swiss Arabian oils I've sampled, this is by far my favorite and one of their more unique scents. Initially, I didn't like it--at first application, it's very strongly green--it must be the marigold note and the harshness of the oud before it melts into my skin. However, as it settles, it transforms into a really gorgeous and nuanced scent that stands out from the other oud-forward oils that I've tried; it retains that green note (I'm assuming that's also the cardamom), but it feels milder and melts into the oud, lifting it up and making it surprisingly fresh--this fragrance feels like a late autumn morning in a forest, there's a dry wood base, but the spices here only warm it up as much as November sun does, which is to say, this isn't as warm as some other ouds I tried. An interesting greener oud to try if you enjoy complexity and woodsy scents.

This perfume is a work of art. A beautiful rendition to cardamon, cinnamon and amber all together as one. To me is creamy and ethereal at the same time. A fragrance that is rich and dress you in a thick velvet veil but makes you feel clean and light at the same time. I would even say this perfume takes you to an altered state of mynd so is even apropiate to wear it while doing any intellectual or creative task or just meditating. I recomend at least to buy a tester or decant and give it a try.

I'm amazed by the low number 'rating' for this lovely oil! It is gorgeous. The apple and cinnamon come through beautifully on a very good Oud/cardamom base. Kashkha CPO is fairly feminine leaning, but a man would turn my head if I smelled this on him. The bottle and box presentation is one of the loveliest I've come across. This would make a great gift for a lady who enjoys a bit of Oud with some unusual added notes.

Smells clean, spiced bergamot with laundry-detergent-powder freshness. Apple tying the bergamot and laundry-soap together adding a tiny fruitiness. Cardamom not very descript but adds to the clean smell. The apple fades away, bergamot becomes a bit more citrusy, spices warm-up a bit. Later, bergamot loses sharpness, spices are dulled, scent is more perfumey and almost floral. Stays clean smelling. This is a very fresh, bright, clean fragrance, envokes vision of morning sunshine early summer. I get no oud. Fairly unisex being neither overtly féminine or masculine. Good value for what you get. Edit: there is a bit more presence to the cardamom depending how it is smelled; seems to be perceived more in the air than smelling up close.

This is not a typical western perfume. It is rich, spicy, oudy goodness. It takes a bit to mature on and gets better with time. Most perfumes open with the most notes and dry down is reduced to base notes but this gets richer with time.

Really nice spicy, woody mix. Feels more complex than some of Swiss Arabian’s others and has less of an “oil” smell to it. Great for colder months.

I smell quince with carnation, cinnamon and anise. It's slightly gourmand and definitely for autumn - at least these are typical smells of autumn for East European cuisine. It's OK, but I would not wear it. It's very spicy (well, apparently as it is an oriental perfume) and a bit sour. The longevity is 3-4 hours.

Cinnamon causing problems as usual - cardamom is normally good but with the cinnamon you get this gritty powdered spice effect from it, very much like a spice cabinet. If you want cardamom done well go for YSL LNDH or one of its dupes, skip this one

It smells ok from the bottle, but the instant I put it on skin, it smells just like Deep Woods OFF (yeah, the mosquito repellant). This is the first fragrance I've actually thrown away.

Wow, this!!! I blind bought this and instantly regretted after clicking Buy, because I was sure I will not like it, considering it seems to be pretty strong on Oud and I'm not the biggest fan of Oud, like in Oud Silk Mood, for example. But boy, I was wrong, this is absolutely amazing, unique and mind blowing. I have smelled perfume oils here and there, I actually own Layali and Noora from the same brand, but this is something else. It smells like Middle East, a combination of delicious flavours from the market and from people who wear perfume, I am instantly there. You can tell this is higher quality perfume oil, not like those things you can get for 5 bucks and smell like toilet cleaner. I would highly recommend it to people who are attracted to middle eastern scents. Btw, I've blind bought it after reading great reviews for the eau de parfum, but I decided to get the oil instead. I hope they smell the same, because I plan on getting the perfume also

I assume that the edp version may be more popular than the CPo, however, the latter is way more roch, deep, sensual and beautiful overall. The edp is a bit lighter and brighter which can be a good thing but the drydown is a bit messy compared to the cpo. That said, I tought I've found my new signature with Kashkha edp until i tried the cpo version so the edp is still a gorgeous and extravagant fragrance, a real regal offering for a casual price.... but if you are really in love with its idea, go for the cpo. I agree that tha warm spices dominate here more than the flowers and the tagetes note that is challenging for me is less dominant here. Also, the presentation of the cpo is of higher quality. I love this oil in itself or layered under "easier" rose/green attars.

I gave it away to someone - it was so strong for me. I did at first enjoy it for nights out but when my lifestyle changed, the pandemic happened and I stopped going out in evenings I felt I had nowhere to wear it, it’s definitely not an daytime or everyday wear. Very heavy on the oud as expected and I was happy about this, but I didn’t like the other notes such as apple and spices that combined with it. The mix just didn’t work for me but hey, trial and error.

Sampled alot from the brand and this one was truly the best. It has that middle eastern smell you want from oud.
