Layali Rouge

I'm glad someone else thought what I was thinking, this is pretty darn similar to Paris Hilton for women by Paris Hilton. Or even, YZY white point. But this is a LOT FRUITER and more juicy. It definitely gives off a super fruity shampoo vibe. It's soooo nice though! This does not smell middle eastern AT ALL. There is no real woody notes, oud, or any harsh florals. This definitely smells like a celebrity scent, B&BW, or even Victorias secret. You will not offend anyone with this scent. It's a fruity bomb. Just smells like a tropical fruit salad with lots of natural sugars. This is definitely a crowd pleasing scent, or a straight up mass appealing fragrance. Wear time, projection, etc is below average on my opinion. Best seasons to wear this is spring and summer for sure. Is this ground breaking? No. But is it nice? Yeah it really is. It smells good enough to eat! This would be wonderful for layering! All is all this is an absolutely lovely fragrance, the bottle alone is worth the purchase. But for me, the quality on wear time lacks an awful lot. So for that, I can't see this being a repurchase for me.

Layali Rouge is absolutely delicious! It is everything I love in a fragrance. It is tropical and juicy with notes of mango, pineapple, and coconut. I have such a blast layering this with other fruity scents. It's great for amplifying perfumes with similar notes, or even to add fruit notes to perfumes that seem a bit dry. This fragrance oil puts a smile on my face so dang fast because I am such a sucker for fruit punch flavors! I can't help but constantly smell my skin and clothes when I've got this on for the day. It doesn't have the best longevity or sillage, but I'm willing to put up with that for the price. I just wish this came in a larger size. If you're a person that always goes for tropical fruit-scented skin and hair products no matter what time of the year it is, give this a whirl!

When I got this I had not really seen much about it. I had seen the pretty bottles, but had not sought out information. I also was just learning about layering techniques. At TJmax one day they had this, Amali, & the regular Layali. Boxes were open, let’s sniff. The other 2 were hideous to my nose, but LR brought the biggest smile to my face. Every time I give her a sniff, same thing. The hibiscus is perfection. This is sweet with fruits and the florals. It’s fresh, smells like hibiscus floating in a tropical fruit punch. A second bottle will be required bc I have layered with everything under the sun. Honestly, I don’t think I can do perfume without this one. I use her under so much bc she just works. This was the best $15 I have spent this year😊 Everyone needs it 15/10

Similar to Yulali this is a very sweet almost juvenile scent. This one however is much more of a fruity scent. I literally find that my mouth tends to water when I wear this scent, the peach, mango and pineapple being the main notes that come through on this. I will definitely pair this with other tropical scents in the summer for an edible fruit scent but is also a scent I will wear by itself. Update: I have already reordered this. As mentioned before I do layer this consistently with tropical scents but my current favorite mix with this scent is to layer Hareem al Sultan (the oil) and spray Tahari Desert Sun on top. These two are slightly more vanilla and musk based which adds maturity and dimension to the scent.

The performance isn’t great but it’s a safe blind buy if I’ve ever smelled one. It smells like a clean and fruity shampoo. It layers perfectly with Pear Inc, glossier’s You, not a perfume, florist, mix bar’s pear blossom, anything fresh and clean, really. For the price it’s a solid layering tool but I wouldn’t rely solely on this unless it’s only for your own satisfaction or unless you’re planning on being very *close* to someone. Completely inoffensive and definitely work appropriate. For reference, even though they smell totally different, Pure Grace by Philosophy has better Sillage, longevity, and projection by a small margin and it’s a notoriously close to the skin fragrance.

It’s free spirited with that tropical fruity, rosy sweetness whilst also insisting upon itself (compliment) on the dry down with the sandalwood note. I imagine this is what a witch/fairy with a perfect smile and adorned in flowers would smell like for some reason. teehee Definitely one to layer with! It goes well with the Dove Pomegranate and Hibiscus Body Wash I’ve been using but I still need to find a perfume to layer it with... If only it projected better so it could stand alone :”) but tbh intimate scents have their own charm too!

Smells absolutely amazing. I blind bought it because someone said that it was a fresh and clean fruity scent and I couldn’t agree more. It smells fruity and sweet but also very fresh. Smells also like a fruity shampoo in a good way. Feels like you’re on a tropical beach drinking a fruity cocktail. Although the only downside is that for me it sits very close to the skin and doesn’t project as much as I would want it to.

I just blind bought this because someone said it smelled just like Escada Sunset Heat on a Reddit post. It smells VERY close to Sunset Heat, so that person was on point for suggesting this. I was absolutely obsessed with Escada Sunset Heat back in the early 2000s, and have been dying to smell it again. This perfume really does resemble it. It is bright, fruity, and delicious! Perfect for spring and summer ☀️

I blind bought this purely off the bottle design, and I LOVE it. Its a bright, clean, floral-fruity scent that just feels like summer. A big downside is that it has very low projection, so it's probably better to layer this with other tropical fragrances. Despite the lower sillage, I love using this perfume on its own during the work week. it's a light and pleasant scent that's inoffensive to others.

I hate anything rose and that's what I smelled at first sniff was a fruity rose but as it dries down the rose starts to be more of background scent and more fruity notes start to emerge. It's your basic soapy fruity floral scent but there is something about this oil that I absolutely love even though there is a rose note. I wear it when I want to smell girly.

Juicy... just right sweetness non-cloying and... can stand by itself! I am wearing Rameses I by Bharara, Very Sexy by VS and Layali Rouge (This) today ... and when I tell you I smell like KMT -Mediterranean Noir Greatness in The Feminine (Think Nefertiti or Cleopatra)... I did indeed master the most gorgeous scent possible with this trio!

Good LORD this is a yummy fruity scent! Juicy as hell and a touch floral, it's making me crave summer in the dead of winter! I got her on clearance at Winners and I'm so glad I did! Swiss Arabian you have my heart. I've just layered with Adidas Happy Feels and if that isn't the yummiest fruity summery scent! ♡♡♡ And super affordable!

Extremely strong sweet floral. I don't get much fruit on my skin and it's pretty strong scented. Unsure what I layer this with to bring out the fruit vs the floral Update: sniffed first thing in morning. I smell the fruits now. It's so wild how differently things smell depending on the time of day!

If you're going to get one of the fragrance oils, get THIS one. It reminds me of the 2000's tropical Escada scents. It's tropical, it's girly, it's sweet. Stays close to the skin but great for layering any of your tropical, beachy scents. The bottle is ostentatious but pretty.

This is a great smell it’s a nice Papaya, Mango, Rosy smell so don’t expect much woody notes to come out... it’s to the skin and very sweet but I’ve noticed that if you put a lot on it last longer if it’s just a few drops it’ll be gone within 2 hours..

This smells sooooo good . But it's not as strong are long lasting on me like I would want it to be! I would recommend this as a safe blind buy ! I do get a sent of a beautiful tropical fruit and a very light coconut smell! I love how sweet it is.

Is it a “shampoo/BBW scent”? Yes. Is it still great? Also yes. Like most people I’m not a fan of the oil vs spray projection/durability tradeoff, but it does last, especially those fruity notes that I can almost never find in a base.

The smell is sooooo delicious. Juicy,tropical without being childish. I wish it projected more. My friend told me she realized how amazing I smelled only when she came to hug me. So that’s a huge disappointment for me

Layali Rouge is AMAZING! It's like a tropical cocktail in a bottle. The mango and pineapple are so juicy and the rose adds a touch of sweetness. I get compliments every time I wear it.

Delicious silky fruit-floral, definitely sweet but still refreshing. The projection on this is quite low but the scent itself is what matters most and it's excellent - 5/5

This is so sweet and juicy with some fresh florals. It's long lasting on clothes, so I use it there. It sits very close to the skin. I think it's beautiful!

I like this oil but I prefer Layali over this. Looking at the notes, I personally only smell hibiscus and fruity notes. That’s about it. When rubbed on the skin, the scent is more warmer than coming from straight to the bottle. When smelling straight out the bottle, it’s definitely a tropical scent. It hits you like you just got hit with a bucket filled with hibiscus and fruits. Then once on the skin, it’s becomes this warm fruity scent with a hint of hibiscus. Projection is not this oil’s best friend. I like to pair this oil with Fakhar for Her by Lattafa. I think it’s a good combo for spring/summer. Layali performs better than this one, I wish it had the amount of hype this oil had online. But I may need to let this sit for a while like I did with Layali. So I might just update in the near future to see if my views have changed.

This is a simple and lovely, soft, almost musky-fuzzy-velvety fragrance that is heavy on the fruitiness. It really reminds me of Body Fantasy body sprays I used to use when I was in middle school. I do agree with the review below, it has a smell reminiscent of soap, which I think is due to the oiliness and lower quality of sources for the notes. I think it's fine, if I happened to be gifted it I would enjoy using it and I would enjoy having the bottle in my collection as I do find it quite lovely. Has absolutely no longevity and a weak projection. 6/10

I think this fragrance oil smells really nice, not what I would usually go for, but it smells delightful nonetheless. My main qualms with this perfume oil are the longevity and sillage. This perfume lasts like maybe an hour on me, which is strange because most perfume oils last 6-9 hours on me. I also like my fragrances to radiate off of me, and this is not that; it stays very close to the skin. I don't know if I got a fake or faulty bottle, but it definitely did not live up to my expectations.

I love how this smells, very tropical and sweet and the coconut is low key, which I appreciate. I only wish this lasted longer than 10 minutes and had any projection at all. Ultimately it was pretty inexpensive and that's the compromise. I lather it on with a mango body lotion and it s a little longer, but I will probably not repurchase.

smells really nice. perfect addition for layering but not to wear alone. its very soft and lite, like how your skin smells fresh out the shower after using body wash. im not gettin ANY fruits!!!! fresh and floral skin scent. worth it to have though. update: heavily fruity!!! very tropical. idk why i wasnt getting that at first...

The bottle is gorgeous and I do love the fragrance it does remind me of the old fruity escada fragrances from the early 2000. However it is an oil and this doesn’t last more than 1 maybe 2 hours... tops so I would probably put a fragrance over it. I love these like tropical fruity scents but I constantly have to reapply.

Nothing groundbreaking, but this is really pleasant. Inoffensive, nonchalant fruity shampoo vibe. If you love those fresh out of the shower scents that focus on fruity notes like Pear Inc by JHAG, you will like this. This is also a great affordable gift to give.

Wait, this is quite different to what I was expecting. I was expecting more fruit and warmth given it is an Arabian fragrance, but this is more shampooey, which is not bad just not what I was expecting.

Very red, and tropical. Red fruits layered in a coconut-sandalwood bowl. Very islander-inspired. Fruit punch knock-out. Lasts forever, can be used in many ways. Great for date night, summer use.

I love the smell, sent me back to middle school because to me this is exactly Paris Hilton perfume. The sillage is practically non existent tho.

Smells a lot like Paris Hilton to me but without the musk. I'm getting melon candy and some kinda floral. Longevity is a couple of hours.

Got this discounted in-box at Marshalls the other day and was pleased with the smell in the bottle. Very light and subtly flirtatious, reminiscent of early purple twilight hours where sunset is just beginning. Almost beachy, but not quite—too floral for that. On my skin, I applied much more than necessary (whoops) for the first wear and was quickly tired of the smell. Came across heavily floral on my skin, almost honeysuckle-ish and powdery sweet, which I do NOT like on myself. Reminded me on that wear of a very “Southern belle” type scent, definitely not what I wanted from the perfume. However, on a second wear, I applied significantly less and got some breathing room to take in more of the notes. I do think this perfume benefits from a subtle wear with less application, since it’s such an airy, hazy scent—at least it is on my skin. Wearing a light coating feels like lounging in a warm room as cool summer breeze sends light purple silk curtains billowing around the windows. LOVE it. Would definitely recommend this for late spring through end of summer. Probably shines most in early evening wear, fabulous scent for lounging about and looking quietly fabulous.

This was another pick up from TJ Maxx and I was mainly just excited to finally see the brand in store. I was honestly expecting to like this one a lot more than the other I picked up from the brand, but it's just okay for me. I think I'll enjoy it on days where I want to smell really girly and rosy and powdery, but it's sort of a fruity powder scent to me. I can't pick out the individual fruit notes, which is what I was really looking forward to when I saw pineapple and mango in the notes, but it's a much safer blind buy than the original Layali. I'm hoping it gets a little more complex with age, too. It's very interesting because I can't say I love it, but I DO keep sniffing my arm where I put a little on lol so maybe I like it better than I think. I'm surprised to see so many say it's spring/summer for them, to be honest, as I'd classify this as a fruity girl's winter fragrance since it's fairly heavy for a fruity floral scent. The sillage is very intimate and I think it would be good for an office setting, personally.

i was so happy to find this at marshals!! i had been wanting this perfume for a very long time and when i opened it i was so disappointed. it smelled like soap and i had to force myself to like it. even after a while of letting it sit its smells somewhat better but still very soapy. it’s like if dawn dishsoap and a fruit cup came together. not a huge fan but i guess it’s goodish. i like the idea of the notes but its kinda rosey too. i’m gonna give this a 6/10 for scent just cause its really not anything great. i mean its not bad but it really got wayyyy to much hype. it doesn’t last long at all and doesnt even project so im not gonna get it again. love the bottle though.

I'm one of the unfortunate few who is getting the soapy note. I fell for the hype, especially for the bottle, and was severely disappointed when it didn't turn out to be the tropical cornucopia I wanted it to be. Comes off very floral and unsweet to me, exactly like the "Pomegranate & Rose" formula of Dawn dish soap. I sat on this not knowing what to do with it for 6 months until I realized I can tolerate it by layering Mancera Coco Vanille (the creamy sweet missing ingredient for my imaginary "tropical smoothie"). Since buying this, I went searching for more tropical/mango scents and found God of Fire does what I wanted this to do.

I don't typically blind buy perfume. However, since Loyal Rouge wasn't expensive and the notes seemed like something I'd love, I bought it. I was so excited to try this as I love fruity and tropical scents. Unfortunately it wasn't for me. I got virtually none of the fruits I was excited for. Instead, all I got was a very floral "perfume-y" smell. Reminds me of something by Marc Jacobs. I will keep trying it and hopefully it grows on me. The bottle is beautiful though.

Really nice, tropical, and bright in the first moments... but as the sandalwood develops the scene shifts to my nose reminding me of freshly washed laundry that sat a bit too long before the dryer. Will try again and do check in sniffs, but it's not as fresh as other comments suggested. Note: purchased from Amazon so this could also speak to my bottle, its authenticity, how it was stored, etc

Got this on a whim- totally unaware of its trending on TikTok(?) etc. The bottle is beautiful and the quantity of oil is decent- for $25 I’m not miffed that it’s a fleeting, generic fruity floral shampoo scent. It smells like Pantene/Suave/Finesse. I might mix a bolder, more interesting oil in the bottle to see if it turns this into something I’d willingly reach for.

Based on reviews and how much everyone loves this I was expecting a strong sweet fruity scent. It’s not that sweet and it’s not that strong. Smells like a faintly fruity shampoo. It’s not bad just not what I was expecting. Since it was only $20 I’m not upset, just a little let down. This would layer well with many spring/summer fragrances.

hmm. ok I just got this, and it smells great out of the bottle, but then it starts to smell like sweat. when I smell it on my wrist I immidiately smell the sweet/coconut scent but it also smells very vaguely like sweat.. I just showered so I know its not me, I don't know why. Not my fav but yeah.

This smells almost exactly like a fruity shampoo i used as a kid. I will be using this to layer as the scent itself is a generic watery tropical vibe. It does have nice thought to it though. I cna smell the synthetic mango/pineapple. It has a kind of clean vibe to it.

i feel like im being gaslit because this just smells like soap to me. like hand soap in those softsoap bottles with the fish. not a bad smell just soap

Off the glass wand, this smells like a fruity-fresh shampoo scent. It smells like an optimistic girl who maintains good hygiene has just stepped out of the shower...not quite as fruity as the notes pyramid or some of the reviews would suggest, but definitely pleasant, non-offensive, and a fruity-musky sort of clean. It didn’t seem to project much of a character on its own, but it seemed like it would be worn well by someone who radiates positivity and doesn’t need their perfume to send any specific message other than “I am a clean and I am happy.” But once it hits my skin, all that changes. There are no fruit notes to be found, and it smells unbearably synthetic and “cheap” (as in low quality, not low price) and it doesn’t resemble the notes pyramid at all. I am picking up a laundry musk note, which must be the hibiscus, but this is not how hibiscus notes typically behave on me. There is an aquatic element to this synthetic-smelling musk note, and a mish-mash of high-pitched floral notes, along with “degraded chemical fake fruit notes”. And it is persistent! I’ve tried washing it off with soap and hot water, and it’s still there, grating on my nerves. I’m happy for everyone who smells good in this scent, and it certainly looked promising when I decided to blind buy it, but it turns out that on me, it’s horrendous.

This is the first Swiss Arabian I tried out of a CPO sample set of 22. (CPO means it's a concentrated perfume oil.) The sample set was very reasonably priced, arrived quickly, and I look forward to trying them all. I'll add a short note about each of them here on Fragrantica as I try each of them, since there is not a lot of familiarity on Fragrantica with this brand yet. Layali Rouge smells fruity but also reminds me very strongly of dish-washing soap. This is not for me. Perhaps because of the connection with dish soap, I did not like how the perfume texture is oily (it literally seemed like dabbing myself with liquid soap?). On the other hand, I tried Noora Onyx next and I did not mind the oily texture, futhermore the oily nature of BPALs has never bothered me. later edit: Don't let this review scare you from Swiss Arabian. I have since enjoyed my other Swiss Arabian samples very much, including Layali.

Definitely a summer and intimate scent. At first I got A LOT of hibiscuses and rose. I never smelled the sandalwood and coconut. Smells like clean rose soap in a bar kind of way and I want a perfume to be a lot more than just clean. Wore off on me after 2 hours and couldn't even smell it in a hug like my arm in my nose kind of way. Would never recommend for a gourmand girlie, and maybe would recommend for a floral gal. It just doesn't stay on long enough and would recommend other things.

I purchased a set of 21 samples of Swiss Arabian perfumes. Today is Layali Rouge. When I first applied it (it's an oil) my first impression was that of laundry detergent and cherry. So, I came here to see what notes I should be smelling. On second pass I can smell mango and maybe pineapple. This is an intimate fragrance and I have to intentionally sniff the areas that I applied it to on my skin. This will be a pass for me and I won't be purchasing a full size bottle. .

If I tell you this is everything I ever yearned for... would you believe me? I desire to smell like soap. I want to smell clean. negative reviews of "smells like a good shower" or "boring like soap" do not sway my heart. in fact it only excited me further. So when I saw this at TJ Maxx after all my research on it for a trifling, meager 16.99 USD, I knew I had to shell my coin for it. And I am glad I did, for I found a treasure worth more than any spray. Opens with tropical smells then flows into the florals. If I were to purchase this solely for a 'tropical fruity', however, I'd be disappointed. But even still, a convincing-enough fruit smell for a paltry penny, and enough authenticity to not smell like hair spray or nauseating grandmother perfume. For the unfortunate souls who prefer something more artistic, more show-stopping, gourmand, room filling, this is... not for you. For those who enjoy a simple, crowd-pleasing, jovial, youthful & clean fruit scent... rejoice!
