**UPDATE** So its been about a year since i visited this scent. I Have the EDP version, so idk if it performs different than the oil . However I learned that less really is more with this one. Im using this as a night time scent and i layer it with white amber oil. That seems to level out the oud, that gave it the musty undertone. Typically I'm a girl of 8-10 sprays but this only needs 2-3 to really do the job. The EDP is highly concentrated so it projects just enough to smell it from a 2-3 foot radius but last like that 6+ hours. My 'walk by' air is soooo good !-08/12/2025 I would have to agree with @pixiemist on this scent. Layali smells vey beautiful in the bottle and in the opening, when you spray it on paper you can smell the florals and plum and citrus that smells light and clean and you don’t instantly smell the oud at all ...but the way that the amber and oud sits in this one is questionable. ideally i love this scent but as it warms up , the oud becomes noticeable in like a dirty animalic sort of way. I love oud but in contrast to the fruity florals this smells musty. It made me feel weird because it smells like i just put perfume over myself after leaving an intense gym session with no deodorant or shower.- 06/07/24

I just picked this beauty up at Marshall's for $16.99! I just love those rack store finds. I've had my eye on these Swiss Arabians for a few years now so I was surprised to see both Layali and Shaghaf Oud at Marshalls. Layali is just beautiful. From the bottle to the Juice. I love plum, black currant and ylang ylang and that is exactly what you get with this beauty. While wearing it, I found that it reminded me of Xerjoff Muse. Very, very similar, but not as complex. I smell absolutely NO OUD. Sillage is really enormous and the longevity is very good. I love it. I thought it was going to be an oil with a wand when I got it, but was surprised that it has an atomizer spray. Very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it because it's a great gift for Mother's Day. Update: May 25, 2023 So my Layali has been macerating for a little over a month now, and freaking wow. It is a straight up dupe for Xerjoff Muse! I sprayed muse on one hand and layali on the other. Boom! They smell exactly alike I don't know why nobody is talking about this! What an absolute hidden gem!

I bought this oil a month ago. Initially, I didn’t like it so I left it alone. Recently I’ve been trying to find a spring/summer scent to wear and remembered I had this. I decided to give it another go. I smelled it and thought, “it didn’t smell like this when I got it.” I can only remember that the oil was not pleasant to smell at all. I definitely remember making a face too since it didn’t smell like any of the notes listed. Now it definitely is a fruity floral scent. It’s more citrusy to me which I personally like. It’s also somewhat of a clean scent to me as well. It’s very nice to put on after you get out the shower. If you don’t like this oil, maybe have it sit for a month (or longer) and give it a go another time. Because now I really, really like this oil!!!

I bought this to complete my collection of the similar oils. My hopes weren’t very high due to mixed reviews. Turns out I love it more than Layali Rouge and Yulali! This one is going to be very dependent on your chemistry! For me, it starts out light and clean with a little fruity floral mixture. As it develops in the skin, it gets much stronger on me but continues to smell very clean. I can’t detect the oud at all. Overall, it reminds me of fabric sheets but in a good way. It’s more mature than the rouge version but not in an elderly way. I put it on last night before bed and this morning my husband was sniffing all around me asking what scent that was. He says he rates it 8/10 and he’s a fragrance snob!

A personal favourite of mine from Swiss Arabian, like a floral fragrance for middle eastern women. Very strong, nothing subtle about it. Beautifully done and exquisite packaging. Decorative, elegant and my favourite of this line of perfume oils (the floral bottle ones) Smells like the colour of deep purple but in the sense of flowers and very intense. Feminine, strong and wearable. Am not sick of it. Expertly done. Swiss Arabian could do with making perfume sprays of the other oils. In this circumstance i think the EDP did better than the oils. Packaging is perfect. Longevity and silage is strong. Definitely more suited to MENASA women.

Please give this one a chance! You won’t regret it! Immediately smelling it out of the bottle I began to regret my purchase. On first whiff it smells astringent, like pinesol and very cologne-y. But once it warms and sits on the skin it mellows out to this clean but sensual musk. It’s a little sweet, fresh, and the amber + oud makes it mysterious. Some reviews said it smells like laundry detergent. I agree! Maybe I’m the only one who finds the smell of laundry detergent tauntingly edible, but that’s the same way I feel with this perfume oil - I just wanna eat it. But it’s not gourmand.

I bought the perfume oil and it is sooooo nice. I love the sophisticated, smooth profile of the jasmine, rose, and amber; it all blends together so beautifully. The scent is versatile and can be suitable for every season, day, night, formal, and casual use. I have found it is the perfect base for layering perfumes, especially more edible, gourmand fragrances. I really love how it warms them up and makes them a little bit more sophisticated. The bottle is truly beautiful, and a great value for the price.

in love with this fragrance :)) when i got it smelled like pine and i thought it smelled awful :( But over a few days of sitting it turned into a beautiful, fruity-floral fragrance :) on my skin, it gets sweet and floral It smells like a woody plum with jasmine and ylang-ylang and maybe a little bit of rose... It smells rich and thick, thats the only way to describe it Its my favourite fragrance, it projects well, longevity is AMAZING, I still smell it on my shirt and I wore it a month ago...

I bought this blind based on the scent notes of an unmarked gift of perfume oil I was given years ago by someone. It's rich with dark fruits and white to gold florals, with a nice backbone of amber. I especially love how the florals take center stage in the mid notes, and the oud and amber don't dominate but instead support. It's very fruity and floral with just enough oud to give it a nice sexy serious note to counter balance. Love the longevity and the silage.

Interesting smell composition. At first dab on the wrists; the smell was very plum and berry like ; Close to being soapy and almost ash like. As the sweet sharpness slows down the basenotes of agarwood and amber come in giving this a dark feminine aloofness. First dabs are confusing cause it brings early spring smells but as it progresses this makes a perfect staple for autumn. The middle notes of rose, Ylang-Ylang and jasmine help carry out the agarwood.

While Amaali is my favorite, this one is growing on me. I find it more wearable and enjoyable than Yulali. Honestly, the first thing I thought of when I put this on was, "This reminds me of walking into a Kirklands." Thankfully, that's a good association for me. Layali smooths out on me much like Amaali does. They both work with my body chemistry in a way that Yulali doesn't. I'm dead set on trying Layali Rouge now.

Listen. I bought this for the bottle. 100%. But it smells GORGEOUS! It's a cheerful summery floral, and I get a lot of plum, and orange blossom. It reminds me a little bit of a nostalgic Bath and Body works scent from the 90s, but it's more complex and sophisticated. I love the application of it as an oil from this beautiful bottle, that is lovely to pick up and use, and has a nice weight.

Sporty gourmand. Dark fruit, citrus and cumin. Perfect for tomboys, sports enthusiasts, goths, Arab frag lovers. Love using this as bath oil, comes out more citrus. Some people may not appreciate the cumin accord, heads up if you don’t like spicy smells. If you love full-flavored spices and fragrances you will love this. If you’re a basic individual, this may be too strong for you.

To be honest it smells like laundry detergent. And I love that it does. I really like that clean sent but I couldn't find one that was strong. I'm so glad I did a blind buy based on looks. I hope the other ones make it to my store. So I can get them. I love the design of the bottle. I don't have the oil one. But will give thar a try when I'm all out of this one.

I have the oil. I definitely pick up the currants and plum notes. This is a pretty, clean, and inoffensive scent. I rather enjoy it! I can see how it works with colder air. It’s like crisp frozen sugar-coated berry/plum, with the honey warmth of amber.

i like this a lot, it smells and looks like money but the powdery note might bother some people

Layali has an inexplicable cardomom/coumarin note. It reminds me a little bit of Fabuloso cleaning product which I like lol. However, it dries down to a musty funeral scent. Glad I tried it at Tjmaxx and did not blind buy. Edit 9/10: turns out I DID blind buy this, along with all the other Layali flankers LOL, and turns out actually I DO LIKE IT, and the Tjmaxx bottle was in fact rancid! while I am not a plum and ylang-ylang enjoyer, somehow in this mix I enjoy them. The oud dirties up the ylang-ylang and greens up the banana accord, tickling my nose pleasantly. The rose dries up the plum quite nicely which is often too sweet to my nose (even tho I like sweet scents). It's my least favorite of the Layali flankers, my favorites from most to least are: Layali Rouge, Yulali, Amaali, Layali OG (this one). I will also note, out of all the Layali flankers this one has gotten me the most compliments. Worth noting that this is a review of the oil, I tried the EDP format in store and it doesn't even compare tbh, personally I would not bother with any of the Layali line unless it's the oil.

I was really excited to see this at TJ Maxx's earlier today and got it and another Swiss Arabian perfume oil. I prefer this one between the two, although it isn't my absolute favorite perfume ever. It's very clean, detergent smelling on first application, with very little fruitiness in my opinion. The amber and the oud make it smell similar to laundry detergent, if that makes sense, rather than a bar of soap. It's a little more complex than just straight laundry detergent, so I'm curious to see if it changes with air in the bottle, but it smells like a very musky, clean, powdery scent on my skin. It's what I wanted from BTSO Filthy Musk tbqh, it smells sexy in a skin way, rather than like JHAG NAP or Glossier You. Someone below said the oud gives it a dirty, animalic smell and I would agree fully, but it's in the way that Dior Poison or another civet scent is, imo. It's too polarizing to blind buy unless you like oud. I would call this a primarily night fragrance for me, I think it'd be a little too much during the day. Trail is intimate, but longevity is good.

An interesting scent. The oud note is the highlight of this fragrance. I think it’s highly uncommon in most women’s fragrances I’ve come across, and it’s my first time encountering it in a perfume. I can see how it’s a dividing scent for some, but as a woman who LOVES dark, musky, woody scents, I like the oud. Said notes usually blossom on my skin chemistry, and this perfume is no exception. If you prefer lighter scents, you are bound to dislike this. I find this to be very unique within my collection and I can’t help but admire it for that reason. The fruit notes are done well and are very deep and intense, not cloying and overtly sweet. The floral notes mix wonderfully with the fruit and there’s a little bit of spice and musk that mingle. It’s womanly, regal and makes me feel like an ancient queen or pharaoh whenever I apply it, usually at night as little treat before going to bed.

This perfume oil is very different. I thought I wouldn't like it but I seem to like it the most out of the three bottles that I currently own (see my profile), These were blind buys for me after watching many videos about them. This one smells a little herbal but not medicinal. Hints of plum are noticeable, it's a bit hard to describe but it's nice in a weird way. Some may not like these notes. My daughter loves it, my granddaughter (age 9) initially rated it a 4 out of 10 but then I took the applicator out completely so she could get a good whiff and that changed to a 1 out of 10. lol I prefer very feminine scents. This is feminine but in a herbal sense. Very different but I will wear this one. Cant comment on projection just yet but I also used the girls as testers. I'll update soon.

I just got this today, and it is such a lovely versatile scent. I really think you could wear this at any time of day, to any event, and in any season. It isn't anything super unique, but by no means does it smell generic. I also noticed the pine note someone else mentioned, but I think that the florals are more prominent. It is the perfect balance between warm and clean/fresh. It really covers every base and does so well. I'm 20, and I think a woman of any age could wear this. It smells slightly mature on a younger woman, but not in an overtly sexual way. That said, it is far from matronly, either. It's a great bang for your buck! Edit: it definitely is more woody/spicy than I expected -- but I love it for a change!

I just got this in so I may be back with updates but of the whole collection I think this one might be the most unique and mature of the line. It sits on my skin with almost a soapy floral. I do smell some pine which I have seen mentioned in reviews, however I find it makes the scent more sophisticated and enjoy that note. The black currant, amber and oud are all beautiful in this scent making it one of those I will add to my signature scents category with more floral and more sweet than I typically lean towards it's an easy favorite for me. Update: On the dry down the oud and currant can be strong so if you aren't a fan of those notes may not be the one for you.

I got a sampler pack and this is the first one I’m reviewing. When I first opened it and took a whiff, it was very strong on the white florals, amber, and oud. But after settling down and drying on my skin, the plum really showed off and gave a bold yet tasteful scent. The way the plum mixes with the white florals, with a little spice from the amber and wood to accentuate it, it makes for a creamy and beautiful concoction. It can be worn day or night, but it feels like a cool refreshing autumn breeze, so a cooler month like autumn or winter would be the best time to wear it. I can’t wait for the cold to come because I will be sporting this one quite often!

Okay, so when I first smelt the perfume straight out of the bottle, I was disappointed. It smelt offensively of musk, wood, and fruit. I decided to really give it a try so I layered it with my Nemat vanilla musk underneath (bc I'm a vanilla girlie) and for the first 20-30 minutes it still smelt pretty harsh. However, after the complete dry down, it completely transformed into a much creamier, much more floral and slightly woody fragrance. It lasted all day, but it definitely sits near the skin, the sillage is kinda weak. Overall an 8/10 I don't regret at all.

Got this second hand from a friend who’s got more of an impulse buying problem than me. And that’s saying a lot. The jasmine and rose together might read more mature vibe but it’s like a young grandma, she’s chic and still got it. On my skin I really like it, it’s fruity in a way I can’t quite put my finger on. I like it tho, and the bottle is gorgeous. I don’t get much our from this but also am not super familiar with that as that ingredient hasn’t popped up much in my collection yet.

A gorgeous fruity floral with more oomph than most providing you are somewhat generous in your application ( this is for the oil). Dry down is warm and feminine and reminds me of a rich cousin to vanilla. Good for day and evening. It's cheery vibe makes me think of it as more of a spring and summer scent, but the dry down is cozy for cooler weather too. Pleasant!

I have a sample of this. I have the oil. I find the scent to be floral all throughout the fragrance. Luckily I didn't get vanilla since I don't like vanilla...and it seems like everything has vanilla in it now. This is a deep heavy floral to me. I'll have to use it some more to determine if I do a full bottle purchase.

To me Layali smells like a very diluted Mugler Angel (more like the dry down of Angel). Or maybe like a distant cousin of Angel that last 1-2h and no silage. Idk if mine is fake or not macerated enough but both my Layali & Layali Rouge are super weak in performance.

I agree with the comment below . It does smell like a woody air freshener and pine or something. It is kind of soapy and fresh . I actually really like it ! Will be keeping and testing out the longevity!

The initial application smells like Barbasol Shave Cream to me (in the red cannister). The dry down is definitely more on the fruity side, but it still has that Shave Cream/After shave vibe.

This is a lovely enough sweet fruity floral that is not too much of any of these three. I don’t get any oud from this

fruity, fresh, and clean. All I'm getting is a juicy fresh shampoo with herbal green notes and a bit of a sharp powdery note from the oud. Would layer well with some creamy vanilla. Pretty inoffensive, but a little sharp which could come off as acrid to some noses. I don't dislike it but I'm a little disappointed--from the notes i would have expected and loved a deeper, syrupy plum and rose with a more pronounced amber. It is quite heavy on the blackcurrant, ylang ylang, and oud but if you like those things and want a clean fruity floral then this is definitely a steal. The bottle itself is gorgeous! edit: this really does smell like christmas. something about it reads as sharp, green, and pine like

This has a very distinct pine opening. When applied heavier, the plumb is more predominate, the black currant is also there in the a very weird kind of essential oil way. There is like a separation of the notes, and it feels very disjointed. But it's not a bad fragrance, I think the plumb is interesting here and the ylang-ylang plays with it in the most interesting way. Overall I'd say it's not for me, there is something very reminiscent of essential oils that kind of gives it a cleaning product vibe. The longer it sits the more prominent that becomes. It just doesn't work on me or my skin. 4.5/10

Bad blind buy 😔 Something in this smells rank. Might be black currant and ylang mixing in a way that's unpleasant to me. Thought for sure it would be a winner. Should've bought the Michel Germain or Milton Lloyd instead. Edit: smells better the second test wear. I used less, this time, just one swipe of the dabber; the fruit is more tame and the florals come through nicely.

This fragrance is so dang bizzare. It's plumy and dark. But then smells like apples,soap,and pepper. I've never smelled anything like it. I think it can't figure out what it wants to be 😂 I don't own anything that smells like this, I still find it so strange after testing it again and again. This definitely won't be a repurchase

Love! I feel like walking down the scented wax isle at the garden center, it's such an oddly specific smell for me. It's sweet and floral and clean and I feel so good wearing it! Edit: the more I smell it the more it smells like a cleaning product to me.. :(

Upon initial application, I can only describe the opening as decaying flower stems. A bit unpleasant. Once fully dried, it settled into a sweet floral candy like vibe. Stop by my TikTok for some fragrance content: nerolicannoli

Very very light fragrance. Smells like a blue colored clean laundry scent. Very olssticky at first but calls down. Just smells like laundromat

More mature kind of floral. I like the layali rouge one better, but that one is more fruity sweet and younger.

I wanted to like this so bad. I honestly am happy i own it just for the beautiful bottle, but i don’t see myself wearing this at all. There are some parts of the scent that are okay. The opening kind of smells like clean, laundry detergent. But as it warms on the skin, i hate to say it but something in there smells a little spicy but also like B.O. Like it really truly smells like there is a note of B.O. I’m familiar with and enjoy ouds, animalic scents and many arabic perfumes so I can’t figure out what it is in this that is creating this sour stench to my nose. I would not recommend blind buying this. Again, the only reason i did is because it was so cheap and i knew i’d at least love the bottle for decor. I wish i could love the scent just as much. Maybe i should’ve gone with one of the other flankers but based on the notes i thought i’d like this one best. It’s so rare that I want to scrub something off, I almost never do because I like to give the fragrance a chance to develop and sit on my skin and adjust to my nose. I can find things to appreciate in fragrances I don’t care for but i’m so tempted to scrub this one bc i truly feel like I just stink like B.O. with it on. Sorry to anyone who loves this one! It’s just didn’t work for me and I wouldn’t say it is a safe blind buy as far as the scent goes.

Am I the only one on the internet who thinks this smells like a Dollar Tree version of Gucci Rush? Instead of the multilayered bad girl appeal of Rush, Layali has similar notes but they’re cloying and screechy. A fresh out the box fabric softener sheet comparison is apt. The shrill, waxy sweetness of a sheet of Bounce or Suavitel is a fair comparison. But don’t get it twisted, this is no clean girl laundry musk. Not even in the slightest. My husband said this smells like a Little Trees air freshener and he’s not wrong. Second bad TJ Maxx blind buy. Swiss Arabian is nothing like the other Arab houses, like at all. Lattafa and Armaf produce quality juices while Swiss Arabian is very budget. No wonder TJ Maxx leaves it out in the open and not locked in the security display like the rest of the decent perfumes.

This is the only Swiss Arabian perfume oil that I absolutely do not like at all. I thought based on the notes this would be a romantic feminine scent, but no! It smells like strong spicy cardamom( love cardamom in my food btw), hint of clean laundry and PUNGENT body odor. Honestly smells like a sweaty pum pum after hot sex, on day 2 of no shower on a hot summer day. Just a big no! I’ve tried to wear this many times, but every time I put it on I scrub it right off. There’s just something that is so repugnant about this particular oil. Feels like I rubbed someone’s B.O all over me. The bottles are absolutely stunning though.

After getting Layali Rouge and it becoming a staple in my collection, I thought sure when Layali was at TJMax. No, just no. In the bottle it smells good, with this note structure it should. Here’s the issue, I put on my arm as a base, took a sniff before topping with fragrance. I almost threw up, rushed to scrub off. This is when I knew, oud hates me. I kinda don’t like it much either. The bottle is beautiful and looks nice on my rotating tray with other decorative bottles. That’s all I have to provide on this beautifully packaged fragrance oil. I am sure it is beautiful on someone with a different skin chemistry

I bought it a month ago and I'm genuinely hoping the scent profile changes after macerating. I dislike it SO much. Smells like depilatory wax, cheap laundry detergent and body odor. I wanted to like it, the bottle is so, so pretty! Not a safe blind buy - unless you wanna smell like cooch. I understand why that may appeal to some people.
