Musk Tahara

I adore Musk Al Tahara. I have tried several ones made by different perfumers. One lady on Etsy... hers smelled great, but lasted only an hour or 2. This one from Swiss Arabian is much better quality. It’s the same clean, powdery, slightly soapy and floral scent that IS Musk Al Tahara, but the longevity is much better. This lasted about 7 hours on me, then remained as a skin scent for another 6-7 hours. In my hair, it lasted a good 24 hours. I love it! And will definitely order more. The ways I use is. As a deodorant... 1 drop under each arm with a dab of coconut oil, and you’ll be fresh all day. Doesn’t control sweat though. I love putting it in my hair. Again, 1 or 2 drops with a bit of coconut oil. Applied to my ends, and wow... complements galore! You just really can’t go wrong with a quality Musk Al Tahara. I have ordered a bottle from a seller in Jordan. It will be here next month. I am wondering how it will compare to the Swiss Arabian. If the longevity falls short this SA will probably be my go to.

It's not soapy, it's something else i cannot figure out, normally i had bad experiences with musk so i avoided it but when i smelled it i was mind blown, it deserves the hype, if citrus and water are cold clean scent this one is warm clean scent, it has alittle bit of sweetness that's why it's warm but not too warm like wintery because of the softness. Good for work, morning and summer.

(review for maison d’orient version) Oh this is gorgeous.. got this in the mail today and its absolutely perfect, sweet and clean, smells kinda like the asian melon candy you get at a sushi place before leaving. My new scent for the summer.

Dude, I need a perfume version of this wizardry. Please— anyone. A perfume that smells exactly like this- clean (as in...warm, sensual cotton clean not sharp or cold), and is slightly sweet/creamy. Like omg, what a dream that would be

tried it for the first time at the gold souk in dubai, i fell in love as the scent became stronger and stronger as it warmed up on my skin in the scorching heat. so fresh, airy and so clean exactly like a luxury soap.

I do find this similar to Khalis Musk, but Musk Tahara seems richer and more refined. I detect a subtle and lovely lotus note. It's great on damp hair and as a deodorant or comforting sleep scent. Not one I want to be without. Also layers under edp nicely, very clean and soft and lightly fresh.

Great for layering fragrances to boost longevity. I layered it with the elusive violet of Balenciaga Paris and, for once, it lasts. I put it on before I leave work to soothe me before I drive in Cairo. Bought mine on the street here. It's lasted three years.

First impressions: I got a very small vial of this when I ordered a travel set of middle eastern fragrances. This is a like because I think this is good for layering with something. It just smells like musk, and if that’s your jam you might love this.

Never understood what this material exactly is, so I avoid it touching my skin, but it smells very "clean", like a white soap. Very nice.

fabric softener sheets. This is soapy clean which i personally am not a big fan of. Just fresh and clean like your just got out the shower

Feminine, Powdery & a very gentle smell. Can’t wear without layering it! Need to get my hands on the vanilla version of it!

I detest how almost everyone I despise wears musk religiously, It carries intense negative connotations I just can't enjoy it nor life I can't enjoy life for heaven's sake why can't good things happen to me why?

So, I haven’t tried the Swiss Arabian version of this scent, but I wanted to give a quick shout-out to the “SURRATI” brand of Musk Tahara, which is widely available online/on eBay (if you’re not in the UAE). Man, this stuff is so good, I almost don’t wanna tell y’all my secret!! 🤣 Ok, so this SURRATI oil...you can buy 25 mL for about 30.00 USD. My bottle has lasted me over a YEAR now. !!️ It smells absolutely amazing...a very clean, “lotion-like” scent. Totally unisex. Like a bar of soap. The consistency is sticky and super thick. It doesn’t look or feel like an oil at all. It’s kinda like a serum?? Whatever it is, it lasts all day and projects pretty well on me. It’s potent. I’ve been experimenting with it all year. I poured some into a smaller bottle and mixed it about 50/50 with some basic Nivea lotion, to thin it out. I will usually pour a little smear of this mixture onto my inner arm, and use my finger to kinda “paint” some of it along both sides of my neck. Then I rub both arms together...get a little bit on my shirt...and that’s it. People really like this. I’ve been getting a lot of, “You smell wonderful!” Or, “You smell amazing.” It gives off freshly-showered vibes, if that’s your thing. So in the spirit of not gatekeeping, I just had to share...look up SURRATI “Musk al Tahara.” 🩵 (Btw, has anyone tried their other oils? These come in a lot of different scents and I’m super curious!!)

The opening is a bit much; it triggered a very specific scent memory. If you’ve ever taken a livery cab back in the day in a NYC outer borough, you’ve probably had sensory overload from the sharp, soapy air freshener the cab driver used. That’s what the opening of this oil reminds me of. HOWEVER, Musk Tahara shines once it has had some time to warm up on your skin and meld with your body chemistry. Clean, powdery and soapy and I can smell some rose. Something of a skin scent but others will perceive it if you apply a little extra. Very long-lasting; I can still smell it on my skin and clothes the next day.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this again. This exact fragrance is what introduced me to white musk and it’s had a special place in my heart ever since. I have never found this white musk to be soapy on me, it’s just warm and clean bliss. It’s mainly pure white musk, I know, but it also reminds me of white florals. Maybe jasmine? It’s a powerful yet somehow calm scent, delivering it’s unique sweetness in an admirable manner.

This to me is just like a bar of nice soap...lovely simple clean musk
