Mutamayez

For me, when I sprayed it for the first time it was a WOW moment. I wasn't expecting it to be so fine. I have spent time in the middle east and this smell does appear quite often. I like it and have always liked it. I don't get pine nor orange and I am not sure those molecules are even really present. I think imagination is playing tricks on people. I get oud, patchouli, amber, vetiver as the main parts. A bit of cashmere is in there too. Perhaps a touch of cedar. I have incense that I bought in the ME that smells very much like this. I am loving it. It is much different than anything anyone else is wearing around me that is for sure. Long: 10/10 Proj : 8/10 Sill : 8/10 Scent: 10/10 Overall: 9.5/10

I'm not a fan of overpowering ouds, which is one of the reasons I really like this warm, sweet, spicy scent: I pick up some Pine, Clove and Amber, balanced out by a nice, subtle oud. The longevity is decent, but unfortunately I've been frustrated with the projection. Generally I'm not someone who wants to smoke everyone out with my frag, but this seems to become a skin-scent quickly, and that's all she wrote. I might need to experiment more with moisturizing before spraying, or applying to clothing...

Just ordered this on sale on Amazon for 19$ can't wait to try it will update after it arrives at that price If I don't like it I can resell it for more on eBay. Maybe Baghdad baby wipes? Or Turkish baby powder ? Pakistani version of canoe? It smells lovely like I'd imagine an Arabic barber shop would smell unique for sure and STRONG careful with this one fellas.

This is my favorite perfume, and my go-to. This is the one that I have gotten most attention by using. It lasts very long, over 8 hours. This perfume is not guaranteed to be appreciated as much in a western society, as this type of scent is alien to a western settings. This is the type of smell that is mostly used by orientals.

Masculine, woody, slightly sweet, and almost barber shop like. It smells like a bar of soap I came across in the past (not sure which one, maybe Imperial Leather). Pine, clove, and vetiver are the prominent notes to my nose. I smell no oud here. It's a unique scent. Mature gentlemen would dig it.

In Malaysia this is the smell of a childhood candy called the “Victory Super Mint Chewing Gum” and it is a spot on! Imagine a coooold, sweeeet, aromaticcc, cozy scent. Yup. As a women, I would wear this!

I was really excited to get my hands on this after wathcing some YouTube reviews. Typically the hype boosted sales so it 4 months before I finally got my hands on a bottle (Notino to the rescue). As one would expect from Swiss Arabian it is a high quality, natural smelling scent but on my skin it smells rather weird. It's different from any I've had before or currently own. It has a dry and green orange zest feel coupled with pine and other rather odd green, herbal notes. The only combination I can put that down to is perhaps the Cardamom, Cloves and Vetiver although none of them is particularly recognisable, individually so from that point of view I suppose it is very well blended. I have tried it a few times now and in different settings, weather conditions and have grown to appreciate it but I can't say that I truly 'like' it. Of course it depends on personal skin moisture and chemistry but on me I can't get past the 'weirdness' that stops it being something I can wear. I can see it being something that I would dig out occasionally just to remind myself what it is like but not actually wear it out anywhere. I'm sure there will be many out there who can really pull this off - I'm just sad I'm not one them.

French and Italian fragrance houses really need to look to their laurels these days. The rise and rise of Middle Eastern perfumers have seen to that. No longer can they be dismissed as mere clone zones. When I look at my own modest collection which includes all the old faithfuls- PdM, TF, Hermes, Chanel et al. - I more often than not find myself reaching for an Armaf, an Aard al Zaafaran or, as here, a Swiss Arabian. Here the perfumer’s art has created a supremely well-balanced original blend that announces itself with bright orange and pine notes that proceed to warm up with cedar wood, cardamom, musk and Oud. This is a quiet masterpiece that I use on colder days but it’s versatility is such that it is a great all-rounder that makes its presence felt wherever it goes. I get a great performance that sees me comfortably through the working day. A great tribute to the perfumer and the house.

People keep claiming orange in here, but I can’t find anything remotely citrus here. Oud, but more of a synthetic incense version of it, cashmere wood, a hint of cedar, and a light leather note. This was a blind buy for me, and it’s kind of its own thing. Maybe it could be a M7 clone if the person who crafted it was working from a memory and not a full palette of ingredients. I honestly find it closer to Nasomatto Duro than M7. No matter what it is, it’s a pleasant fragrance that will make you stand out. It’s definitely better when the temps get below 60°f. This has the opportunity to become an obnoxious beast. With its longevity, if you spray too much it’ll easily overpower a room. Stick to 4 or less sprays. 3 or less if you’re putting it on clothes instead of skin.

This is actually pretty nice. I'm not a big fan of citrus but in this case, the orange and the cloves are blend beautifully with the amber and musk obtaining for a great experience. There's something sparkly which is probably the cashmere and there's other spices giving a subtle sweet warmth to the fragrance. I don't smell any oud on this one. Performance is good. Great for the price.

Gorgeous oriental woody fragrance this one. I'm a huge cashmeran fan and you certainly get it in this not overpowering but good enough. Bit on the sweet side to with the mandarin and pine interesting combo kind of reminds me of walking into a fragrant clean video shop back when I was 8 yrs old. Perfect sillage and longevity, quite good value really.

Interesting scent, quite nice, warm and spicy, good value for what it is , not for everyone, test before you buy. Good performance, reasonably well long lasting, good projection don't overspray, definitely a more mature males fragrance,(in my mid 50s)

Smoothly blended and "full". A bit like a Middle Eastern sort of candy floss (cotton candy), in a good way. Very nice, a genuine pleasure to wear. Better than its' price.

This Mutamayez is definitely something special! It's a warm and spicy scent that lasts all day long. I get compliments whenever I wear it.

I'm not sure what year my bottle is, I've only had it since 2018. But, this thing is POWERFUL. I mean huge. I can barely stand it. It's got the cashmere thing going at 100 miles an hour. Not my type, but the quality is definitely there. Because of the projection, I can only use half sprays. That's right, half sprays. I did one full spray on each side of my neck one time and never again will I do it. This has the Oud going on; I'm talking OUD. There are some sweet spices too, I cannot get a handle on all of it, maybe it's the cloves, but for anyone looking at a bottle of this, the longevity and projection are eternal. Not for timid! Powerful stuff from 2018. Is this like M7 ? No way, not even close. This is unique. You must be comfortable with the cashmere and oud because it's in your face until you wash it off. The clove reminds me of Superman by AL Rehab or something. That thing is clove HEAVY-DUTY. Definitely, this Mutamayez is an EDP like no other. Swiss Arabian makes another home run hit! Price 10/10. Quality 10/10. Longevity 10/10. Projection 10/10. Overall 8.5/10. ***why did I rate overall 8.5? The oud just is putting me off; Headache inducing. They need to cut the oud back just a little and ramp up something not as powerful, but just as long lasting; maybe the pine???

This is a left-field impression for sure but I really get the smell of banana from this - think that comes from the orange fruit and the clove but am not sure. Like the synthetic banana in a banana yogurt or so forth. I can also get the listed notes like pine and orange but my natural impression remains banana. Overall this doesn't smell bad but is a bit unusual and I definitely wouldn't buy a full bottle.

#56 in my "Tour de Fragrance" of 250 scents in 250 days. If you like wood and oud, this may be your jam, it's just not mine. Nothing unisex about this one at all. I imagine the well-oiled mahogany paneling of an exclusive men's club smells something like this. If you like that in a fragrance, you'll be thrilled with this scent and the price, but I fear those around me who catch a whiff of this, and they absolutely will, may think I've been polishing the furniture. So I'll pass this along to someone who can appreciate this class of scents more than I.

Easy pass for me. Maybe good for someone that works at home or for all the ppl that swear "they wear fragrances for themselves". I am neither of the 2 and this smells repulsive on me. I am not a pine clove or oud fan so of course I would not like it as those are the 3 notes that stick out on my skin. Sure it lasts all day but it's not a compliment getter as I like compliments although most ppl won't compliment you anyway but will give a smile. No I did not blind buy it TBH I had a decant of it for awhile and after 2 wearings it's in the trash.

Without a doubt the most awful and nauseating thing that’s ever come out of a bottle. I get none of the notes listed above, just a fiercely potent odor of something far too concentrated to be wearable. Scrubbing with soap and water doesn’t take it off. After several washes and a vinegar soak, the smell still won’t come out of my shirt. Not sure what the others are smelling in this, but I couldn’t get the bottle out of the house fast enough. Lordy.....this stuff is repulsive.

I couldn’t imagine why you would want to smell like this. Yes, it’s very strong and it’s going to have a massive cloud but I don’t believe you’d want the headache that’s going to come along with it. To me this doesn’t smell like oud. It smells more like the Super Sani-cloths (purple top wipes if you’ve ever worked in a hospital.) it’s an ultra abrasive chemical smell that smells kinda like an industrial cleaning agent. I mean I guess that could be your thing but wow..why?

First of all i am in a hunt for the best 2002 M7 clone, this is not it, not even close, I don't know why people keep saying it's a clone specially that idiot youtuber who always puts the original M7 on his desk, this fragrance is tooo much way tooo much, not even inspired by M7, my next and finale M7 clone blind buy will be from Dua then i am done, i can't keep searching anymore I'm done, and frustrated

its the exact cheap scent that you could get from an attar solids synthetics (amber + oud + musk) for 3$ i don't know what Max forti was on to hype it, this is not even a shadow close to the majestic M7 not even 1% close this is a cheap synthetic oriental molecules ( i'm from the M.E. and i'm grown with musk, amber and oud, i can tell you this is trash cheap, period)

NAUSEATED BY AN ORANGY DRINK MIX AND PLEASURED BY AN M7 RESEMBLANCE "Mutamayez" translates as "something special" in Arabic. And indeed, this perfume is "somewhat different". It is special in a bad way because I always got nauseated by this fragrance opening. It is special in a good way because I have always felt comfortably pleasured with the fragrance dry down. Due to its scent and origin, this fragrance could be considered oriental, at least by its birthplace. In reality, we are dealing with a woody fragrance that could be made by a Western designer as well. This fragrance has 4 distinct phases: - After a generous spritz from the very good spray, you get a blast of alcohol along with a strong, ripe semi-sweet candied orange. The scent is just too "Tang Orange" for my taste. The aroma gets even weirder with a coniferous and clove touch. That accord doesn't combine with the candied orange synthetic note. - The alcohol disappears within 20 seconds, fully revealing the mentioned notes. Emerging spicy and woody notes are also noticeable now. My sinus doesn't like the mixture of orange with pine or clove. The clove note becomes too intense but on a pair with pleasant cardamom, cashmere and cedar notes. Fortunately, the clove accord doesn't last too long. The woody notes last until the third phase. - With the arrival of the bottom notes, you feel a skirmish commanded by a strong vetiver trying to dominate the atmosphere supported by animalistic musk. It seems that the scent development has no clear plan to follow. Other newcomers - oud and amber - are more peaceful and waiting for their very important dominant role in the perfume theatre stage. - After the initial half-hour, the truce is declared and the very well-behaved oud and sweet amber begin their pleasant journey of dryness. At this stage, if you had sprayed one hand with "Mutamayez | Swiss Arabian" and the other with "M7 (Eau de Toilette) | Yves Saint Laurent", you would only notice a slight difference between the two hands. Finally, we get the lovely smell we were hoping for. It lasts for over 8 hours with 3 great sprays and has average sillage. My classifications for "Mutamayez | Swiss Arabian": ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ Scent Opening: 4.0 (awkward opening with candied orange and a coniferous touch; I don't like it) Dry Down Scent: 9.0 (very pleasant woody base drying with oud and sweet amber) Longevity: 8.0 (8 hours with three sprays) Sillage: 7.5 (up to 5~6 feet at its peak with 3 sprays; average projection for 1.5 hours) Uniqueness: 9.0 (unique to me, even if not in a good way; It becomes similar to M7 during drought) Wearability: 8.0 (it leans more towards daylight during winter, spring and autumn, although I consider it perfectly safe to use it at night as well. Cool summer nights are also suitable for this fragrance) Versatility: 8.0 (the fragrance is a safe one for leisure and work situations. I consider it unisex) Compliments: 6.5 (you will get a few compliments but only during the dry down) Quality: 8.0 (sturdy flask; ingredients quality is ok, or even better than average; only the blending design is under average) Presentation: 6.0 (acceptable but I don't like the bottle's flashy yellow colour) Price: 9.5 (100 ml non-tasting for 18 Euro + shipping) ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ Overall Rating: 7.59 / 10.0 - between 7 and 8 = more than average; - between 8 and 9 = recommended; - greater than 9 = do not miss; My opinion: I recommend this fragrance only for collectors because of its M7 similarity during dryness. As with any other oriental oud perfume, I also recommend you try it before you buy it. As far as I am concerned, I don't like to use it at any time. I don't seem to be able to forget the awkward opening. - Just for M7 enthusiasts: It does not smell like an M7 Xerox copy in the dry down but is close by. But for the price, you might as well try it. Music: Gipsy Kings - "Djobi, Djoba" (I never understood if I love or hate this song)

Mutamayez is a very complex and original fragrance. The composition of notes listed above is accurate. Oudh is definitely present, but it is not at the forefront. It smells natural and is only strong to the nose for a minute or so at initial spray. After that, it becomes creamy and pleasant, and remains so for hours afterwards. It is not a linear scent, the different notes alternate for hours. The fact that this fragrance lasts so long for the price is amazing in itself. I don't think there is anything "polarizing" about this fragrance. It is certainly original in the best way possible. I have never owned YSL M7, so I cannot comment on the similarity, but I've never smelled anything like the entire composition of Mutamayez. The way it settles on the skin does not attack the nose, and yet projection is still very good (along with the impressive longevity). Honestly, I think this can even be worn during the hot months, but at night. Very sunny weather with extreme heat may very well call for something aquatic, which this is not at all. But I still wear Mutamayez on summer nights in the Southwestern U.S. quite well I think :). I love this fragrance more and more as I spend more time with it, and I believe I've seen a similar review elsewhere with the same experience.

Ha-ha! :)) It's really nothing like anything famous or well-known! If you say orange and vetiver, I'd immediately say Terre d'Hermes, but in this case I'd be very wrong! Mutamayez doesn't have the bright freshness that is the main beauty of Td'H...no...it's brooding but elegant and dignified, reminiscent of the great patchouli-heavy gentlemanly scents of old. It does have a cool, piney freshness, but there's nothing citrusy about it. The orange doesn't play on the refreshing side, it just softens and curves the woody, piney side. There's a touch of vetiver, but it doesn't dominate the picture. Oud or Smoke? ...well, somewhere in the background. Overall, it's well composed and balanced, the oddity is that the greens and woods with the orange give it a sweet-tart celery-like nuance, which is very unusual in perfumery. I've smelled this in other fragrances... So: Swiss Arabian Mutamayez is a distinctive fragrance, not for the masses. It has its own beauty that few will appreciate. But I will. Max Forti said about it: Max Forti said about it: "Wear it in the presence of the Boss only if you are the Boss! " - Well said Max! That's right!

Oud is not for everyone, I personally love anything oud as long as rose is not involved. Swiss Arabian took a safe approach on this one. The opening is delightful, you get hints of orange,pine resin and oud. The middle is fizzy with a green spiciness,the oud is still lingering in the background. The drydown is a velvety wood, slight spicy hint but clean. The oud is at the forefront at this point. The oud is synthetic obviously but it has a nice clean presence that isn't cloying slightly fruity like Cambodian agar. Dont go heavy on the trigger this stuff is strong. For the price and scent it was worth it. This frag will be great on cool nights, this will not be friendly during the summer. My wife took some time to sniff and study this one also, she enjoys it very much. Not her favorite of my ouds but she said it smells sexy and mature on my skin. A little mysterious and sensual Swiss Arabian did it right.

Picked this up for $20 at a rack store - total blind buy, I have several other Swiss Arabian perfumes, they are all good. This is not. The scent profile is not at all discernable by the above note breakdown. I get no orange, no pine, no cedar, oud or cardamom. The only thing I can smell is musk, cashmere and a little bit of clove. It smells like if you mixed baby powder into a cup of Chai tea. As I wore it, my scent memory kept getting triggered, and I couldn't figure out what it reminded me of. Finally in the afternoon it hit me. I was detailing my car, and the smell of Turtle Wax spray on instant car wax is nearly identical to this. I did not receive compliments on this, and in fact got negative responses- ugh what is that, it stinks etc. I do not recommend this unless you want to smell like you just did a shift at the car wash. My bottle is going back to the store...

I had a bad review here, but I'm deleting it and starting over because after another month and a half it seems to perform ok. Weird. I've had it for around 4-5 months and it's gone from barely there to a pretty normal concentration/longevity. It's not a beast but I can tell I have it on. This is really a pleasant surprise as it's a nice woody spicy scent, not too heavy not too light. It's similar in style to some other Arabian perfumes I have but the smell is unique. So, if you get a really weak ass bottle like I did, let it sit for a few months, it might surprise you. Haha what a weird thing.

Plainly, Mutamayez isn't the same as original YSL M7. For starters it has a sharp fresh note that I don't like at all, but which fortunately tones down after about an hour's wear. That said, if I were asked "What does Mutamayez remind you of?" , I could only come up with one response - "M7". Regards.

Not bad. It is pleasant but somehow too sweet for me. Better to wear in cool weather. Longevity and projection - moderate.
