Nawaf

This fragrance is a masculine oriental ode to oud, seasoned by hot spices, oriental balms, animalic leather and sweet tobacco. Its seductive scream begins in the bottle itself, strangely designed but visually imposing and pleasant. Its backbone from the first spray until the end of the drydown is based on a strong, but a well-educated arabic oud note and without any references to barnyard or carcass tonics. Around this strongly seductive burnt wood note, there are slight nuances of saffron and cumin seeds, as well as strong balsamic vectors of amber and incense, chords of strong piercing animalic leather and the warm sweetness of a langorous hot tobacco. This is typically the fragrance used by an adventurous Prince Aladdin or in Princess Sheherazade's seduction 1001 nights. Its performance is well above average and the perfume accompanies us for an entire day and a a long night focusing the surrounding attention on us. Its blending is exemplary and as a whole this perfume becomes unique and very desirable. Due to its uniqueness, It's not easy to establish a reference for a similar fragrance. But I assume the risk of referring Kalemat Black by Arabian Oud. A collection of oriental perfumes becomes poor without this precious Nawaf jewel.

This is strong stuff, the opening to me felt like that medicinal syrup we used to put in inhaling steamers back in 20s. The opening is sweet and medicinal but the dry down is something. The drydown is just smoke, too much dark and Smoky and it's lovely. The dry down reminded me of Tom ford tobacco oud TBH. Its class, expensive and unique. A very good fragrance from the Swiss Arabian house, smells similar to Tobacco Oud in the FAR dry-down (5 hours+). It’s rather strong Saffron vibes in the opening and dries down to incense and leather, with a tobacco and Oud note throughout. Longevity is easily 12 hours on my skin, becoming a skin scent at around 3-4 hours. Sillage is good and projection is very good. Not safe-blind buy, but it is definitely good value for money. This is a really good one,,,,,Only if SAFFRON was not overpowering the whole experience. It def needs a good half an hour on skin but then you wash it off by that time LOL. Unless you put one or two sprays on your clothes and walk away then come back to smell it or wear it to go out.

I get the honey and woody scent, it is really quite good. Reminds me of Amouage interlude or epic, but more generic. Not as long lasting (though it dose last quite well) or as strong, but not the same price either. In fact I think a bit of a bargain.

The immediate impression is intense and intimidating but in the dry down where the magic and beauty happens. This scent evokes sophistication and confidence. Definitely type A personality vibes !

Good quality and mixture of notes. you should give time (30 min) to this perfume to settle on your skin to enjoy the perfumed cloak that will envelop your body.

Swiss Arabian needs to bring this fragrance back!!! It is so nice. One of my first SA fragrances I bought back in 2008 or so

I bought this blind based on the Fragrantica "smells like" section. At the time, the highest ranked perfume was Tom Ford's Tobacco Oud. I can see the similarity but it's not a clone and not really an alternative in my opinion. It's resinous, spicy and leathery with a hint of bitter tobacco. No gourmand sweetness (more of amber sweetness) and no booziness. This is not one of those sweet Tobacco fragrances - it reminds me a more resinous Tobacco Blaze. It's pleasant but the performance from my bottle is not loud. I get around 6 hours of longevity on clothes with good (not overwhelming) projection in the 1st hour. Cold weather fragrance - autumn or winter and its quiet but steady performance makes it a good choice for night use. This is a fragrance for a man (not very unisex) who wants to smell good but doesn't need to announce his presence when he walks into a room. Not a bad pickup at the right price for a lover of Middle Eastern scents but recommend trying before you buy for anybody else.

Well I have this fragrance since 2021 it is that type of scent not everyone is going to like. It’s sweet, resinous, smoky and spice it is a good quality scent a bit synthetic specially the oud note but better than many clone houses out there. At the opening it is a bit loud but it starts to tone down on the dry down. It lasts like around 7-9 hrs on skin. Projection around 1 hour arms length more or less. This is not a unique different fragrance as you might pick up similarities from other middle eastern fragrances. It’s just an ok fragrance to me. Something more interesting to me would be Shaghaf oud abyad from same house. That one is more complex and stronger and the drydown is really good but you need to like these type of fragrances. 6.5/10 scent 7/10 projection 7.5/10 longevity 8/10 price

If you're curious about Nawaf from Swiss Arabian, a 30ml bottle under their "Khalis" label is the exact same fragrance known as "Wafi" — just in a smaller, budget-friendly format (usually under $15 on Amazon). Perfect for testing it out before going all in on the 100ml. The scent is a rich blend of warm saffron, tobacco, oud, and sweetened with honey, leaning masculine with excellent projection and long-lasting performance. A great pick if you enjoy bold, warm, and slightly sweet fragrances.

A soft, honey, smoky, woody smell. Starts off very similar to Givency Very Irresistible for men, but drys down into its own smell, Good projection & long lasting. It's an EDP after all. It's about 37 USD. A very good price for such quality.

This is the epitome of spray, delay, walk away. I was gifted a bottle of this after I had complimented an Emirati man while visiting UAE. What smelled intoxicating on him, does not on my lily white skin. There are moments that I really like, but it has to wear a little. The oud scent is very strong! One spray will last an eternity. If you're into very very masculine scents, you'll probably like this.

This one just did not work for me. It has supposedly got Oud, Saffron, Leather, etc. To me unfortunately, it just radiated melting plastic, from opening to drydown. Take this with a grain of salt, as I have a problem warming up to the more medicinal ouds (most just smell of band-aids to me, and I don't get the attraction). So, YRMV...

This is unique and high quality but unfortunately I dislike the overall effect. The saffron is too cloying and leather is just not great in general across all perfumes. Tried this in the sampler pack, idk if I'll spray this one again

If you are looking for something oriental ( like black aoud, or so ) then you can pass this one. But if you are looking for a Dior homme parfum, or The One by d&g, style fragrance, then you might be interested to buy it. This is very dark, a bit synthetic tho. I don't get that much tobacco on it ( if so, it is very very synthetic ). Not a hint of Oud, neither sandalwood.. This is in a way leathery, but not the kind of leather that you may find in Aoud Leather ( Montale ) for exemple. Very loud, and linear. I have also to disagree with the reviews below saying that it does not have good performances, I think that you didn't test it right. Or maybe it is only because I didn't like it. You won't smell like an arabian prince at all.. An advise, do not trust the notes listed in any fragrances, it may completely disappoint you. First impression: Not interesting. Somehow tame, sweet, generically oudy. Wasted money. Next day: there is a middle eastern vibe to this one with a combination of sweet and saffron/olibanum notes, carried by a big synthetic backbone, but somehow there is no beast to me. The tobacco that people identify reminds me of Rasasi Tobacco Blaze, where the tobacco really isn’t that... it’s an accord of saffron, light leather, and in this case, some of the smoky, peppery olibanum base from interlude (or its clones— I don’t have the original). This smoky, sweet saffron and olibanum and oud is what lingers, and almost grows in intensity, and what I believe people identify as beastly. TLDR: let it offgas for 30 min and it becomes less synthetic and sweet, growing more into its darker, smokier, resinous base notes. Ends with musk and a bit of sweet amber in the dry down.

This is a good Tobacco scent. Heavier more like a cigar thingy. I get sweet amber, vanilla, musk and some really thick tobacco maybe enhanced by the spiciness of saffron. Beastmode. For cold weather. Overspraying is not advisable. So is it similar to the many similarly themed fragrances ? I would yes for e.g. Herod, Oajan, Ambre Narguile etc but the quality is on the finer side. It is loud, domineering and perfect for outdoors esp clubbing. Value for money. Not for the ones looking at a unique new Tobacco scent. More for beginners who need such scents. The quality is much better than Montale/Mancera. The opening is loud. So spray away from neck.

As soon as I saw the notes I desperately wanted to buy this, but the cheapest one I could find was 50 bucks, which was more than I wanted to spend on a 50 ml. So I passed. I just recently found it for 30, so I snapped it up! Aaaaand... Slightly underwhelming. How could this be? It's got all my favorite notes! I'm not sure. After further consideration, reminds me of Nuit de Feu (I have a clone.) with a little extra pungency from the tobacco. It's still not bad, just not terribly exciting.

disappointing...i didn't expect this from this house!! its like all the other perfumes now days, strong when you apply , after 1 hour its barely there...the smell its not wow, or baw..its just a boring regular smell which you find in many western and Arabic houses today! im starting to ask myself its worth buying a perfume again now days...i guess not! Better call SAUL:)))))

این عطر رو ۲ سال پیش خیلی تصادفی در امارات بو کردم خریدم. در اصل دنبال یاس الملکی از شرکت یاس بودم و فروشنده گفت این همون بو رو داره و فیمتش ارزانتر از یاس الملکی هست. خریدمش و خیلی دوسش دارم. اما در ایران ندیدم. پیش از این بوهای عودی شرقی معرفی شده. اما از همه شون بهتره. فکر میکنم قیمتش حدود ۱۵۰ درهم باشه

This smells exactly like Ferrari Essence Oud.
